Well, you got me there, xs. What I've noticed as I've gone on is an increasing tendency to expand on background story esthetic and enhancing psychological horror. Your observation regarding relative story word length vs. tortures inflicted isn't something I've ever thought to do, but would seem to bear that out. (Another reason I love Willie's stories is how he indulges the girl's stripping, binding, and often fondling prior to the first lash ever strikes, the visual equivalent.) Melissa was also the first "clean up the prose" rewrites of previous stories I attempted, but now saw as copying the lurid 70's paperback-style torture porn. What you saw as concision, I saw as overkill writing of the kind I was specifically trying to leave behind at the time. I didn't even try with Annetje or Dawn. Now I don't worry about it. I write the stories I would like to read. I'm pleased that some share my sadistic fantasies and enjoy them. Low motivation at the moment, but I never know when that will change. I've also been a much less avid contributor here on Gimp.xs70 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 11:15 amFWIW, I didn't notice anything wrong with the barn scene when I read it. It's concise and gets the action across. The Lady Montcalm has her breasts beaten across the span of 10.500 words, whereas Melissa has her back and front whipped, her nipples burned, her sex punished on the wooden horse, her body, sex and tits burned with hot irons, and her nipples crushed with pliers and sliced with a red hot knife while being raped in 11.700 words. For me, Melissa wins hands down.
Meanwhile, thank you for the interest. I never did it for money, so recognition of effort is always welcome - although in fairness I am guilty of that myself.
