Very poor acting, really bad screaming and pain reaction except from Cry, Tay and Alina.. and the thing that pissed me off is that almost all the video are scenes copied and pasted to increase the length of the video…. I actually stopped purchasing videos from them.

I don't know if you're a foot fan, but I think you (and others) will like this one.

Darina, from RF Studio on C4S, very medieval-ish. It features use of the rod on, and fire torture of her feet. I absolutely love that she's naked, and you can't really see her shoulder tattoo with the way her arms are tied and the camera angles. I think her screaming is well done and quite nice, but, like all things GIMP, YMMV.

Regarding the re-use of scenes (maybe from a different angle), to extend the length of videos, I don't know what to tell you. Hopefully Alex will get over this practice someday.

But this can also be the case when you don't keep track of what scenes/camera angles you've already used when editing. I'm with you on this, I'd rather see a shorter, punchier video.

At least with his latest editor, the continuity has been superb.

I saw it before it went commercial, but then I wrote the script and financed it, so my opinion is a little biased.

1) There isn't any screaming. I'm not really into that. There is some yelping when the electricity is introduced - high pitched "taking the breath away" type stuff. So, the screaming in minimal.

2) Adri is a very good actor. I find myself watching her face even while the action is directed somewhere else. She doesn't vocalize a lot, but her facial expressions are top notch. Too many other Cruel World actors go too over-the-top trying to sell a scene, but Adri knows how to perform for a small screen and she does it well. No need to thrash around on an apparatus when your audience is three arm-lengths from your face.

3) I write the scripts with the idea of having about 15 to 20 minutes of action. Then Alex adds his introduction and credit scenes. In order to get 20 minutes of action, I design the scenes to have physical breaks - the villain walking out of the scene at the end, or walking into the scene to start the next chapter. This gives everyone a chance to catch their breath, get some water, review the script, and then get back to it. I've noticed that some of Alex's quickie videos (like, a young maiden is crucified without a story) tends to re-use footage from different angles in order to reach the 20-minute mark because it's generally not physically possible to crucify someone for 20 minutes without a break. So, choose your videos wisely and you can get a full story straight through without reverse camera angles of the same thrashing by the victim on repeat.

This particular video isn't one of my best, but Adri turns in a good performance. In my opinion, the best is the one that is about to be released on Dead Sexy Clips, where Adri is crucified in 4 poses. I'll post a link when its up unless someone beats me to it.

I'm a little different. In my fantasies, the tortures are usually severe enough to merit screaming. But there's screaming, and then there's screaming, as in reaction to hot iron torture, severe electrotorture, or racking to the point of dislocation.

For instance, I think the wired electrotorture is a little more severe than the ball-end wand, or the wired Whartenberg Wheel. But of course, it's a matter of perspective as far as what you want to see, plus the settings on the electric "interface", or box.

I also think body contortions and hand positioning/expressions are very important when talking about reaction to torture. People talk about exaggerated motions on stage. I think that's important when talking about torture reactions, too. Maybe not during close-ups, as you start to have out of frame moments. And not comically overdone reactions either, but just a little more than most. Straining against bonds, avoidance of the torture implement, splayed fingers/clenched hands...hell yes...just a litte more "honest" reaction.

I think Cate did a very nice job screaming in agony when the hot iron is applied in The Noble Ladys Revenge.

My tastes aren't as sophisticated as skullchasers. But I still like a little bit of nuance. Like the interludes between Alex applying the tortures.

I'm to blame for the lighting. I don't care for the "sitcom lighting" except maybe in the case of a modern interrogation/torture scenario.

In my last few customs, I've gone with clamps instead of warming up with the wand or wheel. I like the idea of the pain the clamps induce on the body before the real pain starts.

I've submitted a new script for Adri and CRY. Adri plays the helpful intern for Dr. Squalus and CRY plays a reporter doing another story on Dr. Squalus' experiments. This time the experiment is an exploration of female sexuality. Both CRY and Adri the Intern are mounted on the cross and zapped. We also see Adri start to assume the role of the evil scientist when she experiments on CRY.

Yes! I call it the "Strangled" scream. During electrotorture, it's as if her body and throat are locked in the agony of the moment, with just the sounds from her throat coming through. Maybe you and I are thinking of the same thing, just using different descriptors.

When she does scream, her screams have a "guttural" quality to them, as if they come from the gut instead of from her throat, the way most other girls scream. Cry's vocalizations are much more "heartfelt" and I absolutely love the way Cry emotes.

It's not necessarily the audio volume, or loudness. of the scream, it's the "quality" of the scream. And when the torture is momentarily suspended, she does this lovely gasping breaths thing that is just perfect. It not only sounds great, but the way her ribcage and belly move adds to the scene.

Yes! I love her guttural screams; that very deep grunt as if the diaphragm was contracting from the impact of the electricity. I particularly like the way she arches her back and points her toes. Those are some of the reasons I keep casting her in my films. That and the fact that she's athletic enough to handle suspension work. I know I can put her in almost any position for an extended time. That opens up a lot of potential storylines and characterizations.

In the last film I did with Adri, she did some suspension work on the cross and her left arm started to go numb near the end in the final position (out of 4 crux positions), but she stuck it out to finish the scene (and the film). Alex had to step in and do an "emergency descent" to get her down quickly. I felt bad about that and asked if she was ok, and I was told she was fine. She's agreed to do that position again in my upcoming film, so it couldn't have been too bad for her, but I gave her the option of doing it at a 45-degree angle instead of fully upright because I don't want to lose her as an actor. She films on Monday so I hope to have the footage by Wednesday.
