Her body weight probably wouldn't be enough to do it. That's why extra weights, or the drop technique, was often used.
I've always thought the drop thing was really too brutal and quick (but perhaps they were pressed for time back then). I think a prolonged ordeal of gradually increasing weights being hung on her ankles, and the very slow wrenching of those shoulder joints would be just as effective. Eventually the increasing weight would be too much, and the joints would pop out, with a doubling of the agony.
