I follow this thread, so I've seen all the announcements of new films, rehearsals, etc. Some looked interesting, but Jac doesn't seem to be able to actually COMPLETE a film--and, of course, as the artiste, no-one else can edit, color correct, etc.

Just out of interest, can you provide us with a list of the films--big and small budget--that are currently in one stage or another? Which are awaiting post? What films have actually been released in the past 6-12 months?

Justine – Streaming Now!

Image

In this artistic rendering of De Sade’s classic novel, Justine endures extreme torture and violation at the hands of the Marquis De Sade’s disciples of pain in a number of perverse practices illustrating that virtue is no match for vice.

Image

You may think you know the story of De Sade’s JUSTINE. But not like this one.
Because this is Jac Avila’s JUSTINE: A shockingly erotic experience more sadistic than De Sade himself.

Meet innocent Justine: Beaten, bloody and naked— she’s locked in the stocks after 50 lashes and the abuse of many men. Now, she awaits execution for a crime she did not commit. Or, did she?

Come along with Justine on her deviant journey, as she escapes from prison with a band of thieves, only to be passed into the clutches of various depraved men, who torture and enslave her in bouts of sex and thrilling scandals at the hands of perverted aristocracy.

Image

Until Justine is finally sold into the torture playground of the brutal and sadistic Rodin, who further violates her by inflicting hideous torture upon torture alongside his resigned daughter and reluctant but sex-crazed female servant.

Ultimately, everyone becomes a pawn in this sick and twisted game of cruelty, culminating in the ultimate savage sacrifice.

Each film we make has its own requirements and pace, regardless of the budget. In the more than a quarter of a century of making movies, we released over 60 films, that’s more that 2 per year.

This year was particularly difficult for many reasons. Many personal issues to be resolved, changes in the way things are going everywhere, too long to go into details.

We are dealing with some demanding work. We began our streaming channel, which takes a lot of work and concentration and we’re not done yet. In addition there are negotiations going with a major distributor to widen the distribution of many of our films, including Pygmalion, Sirwiñakuy, Barbazul, Olalla and some others. That also takes a lot of out time because in order to meet the technical and legal requirements to enter into a deal we have to prepare all the assets and that takes a lot of work.

As we complete the tasks we loaded upon ourselves this year, we will be getting more films ready to launch them out in the world.

One major film, that has a theatrical release in 2023, is under negotiation for major world release, along with films that were already released before, including Amy’s directorial debut Sirwiñakuy.

Our more recent releases are Seditiosa, in March, last year, we also released two Making of videos made during the production of Monxa Mala. We’re preparing the theatrical release of 69 Année Érotique by the end of this year.

Image

There are many films in post production, the closer to reach release this year is Agent Honey Trap followed by CruXbound IV, with Simonne. One version will be the official release, another version will be released as a Making Of.

Other films in different stages of post production are Deep Cover Mole with Mila, CruX SimpleX with Dani and Mila, CruXbound III, with Dani, CruXtreme V, with Dani and Mila, CruXtreme VI – Callback II, with Ligia.

The production of CruXbound III, with Dani will be completed very soon, while, CruXbound I with Ligia and CruXbound II with Mila will be completed by the end of November.

Image

We’re also working on the pre production of Crucified Four, we hope to produce it as soon as we have enough funds. We are preparing other films, the Big Production Values films, Maleficarum Excruciati and Aventura to be produced next year. Smaller or No Budget films in our plans are La Femme De Chambre, with Dani, a very sadistic version of La philosophie dans le boudoir is also in our plans, with Dani, Simonne, Ligia, Mila, and two other actresses.

Sure, one thing is to plan a bunch of productions, another is to get things done, our history shows that we do manage to work on most of our plans. Sometimes with three movies in a row, like when we did Barbazul, Maleficarum and Le Marquis de la Croix. All produced between December 2010 and March 2011.

A Time To Grieve

Image

The month of October began with incredibly sad news. Rocky, Jac’s beloved dog, suddenly fell ill, he was diagnosed with Renal Insufficiency. He was treated for many days but his illness advanced until he couldn’t fight it anymore, so he crossed the rainbow bridge the afternoon of the 5th, two days before Jac’s birthday.

Jac was devastated, of course, Rocky was his loyal friend, companion in adventures, amazing walks for 8 years, and because of him Jac met and made many friends, including Geraldine, who appeared in Seditiosa, 69 Année Érotique and will play Paulina in Crucified Four.

Rocky was cremated and he now rests is in a little urn on top of Jac’s desk, near the monitor.

Image

The family is very, very sad, so are all of Jac’s friends. The mixture of messages he received since then helped him, a lot. The night of the 7th he had an unexpected little birthday party, organized by his son, Erix, who invited some friends, mostly the actresses, who made him feel a lot better.

While he tried to deal with the tremendous loss, he was having a big problem with concentrating in the work, he went to a site he mistakenly joined when he was looking for some music, he was offered a service for 19 per month, but he was charged a whole year, 192, he was pissed. But he has access now so he decided to look at what it had to offer apart from music. There he found that he could generate videos, so he decided to give it a try. And lo and behold, he spent hours creating a bunch of videos inspired on his ideas for The Crucified Four.

[media/[/media]
Taia Steals Bread – the first test

So, on his birthday, he spent all day transfixed watching his ideas come to life with very annoying limitations by the system he was using.

The limitations were evident and frustrating. The most frustrating was the impossibility to generate videos with nudity.

After working a little to generate a clip of Taia, the runaway, slave stealing the bread, he realized that he could not bring the same exact character for the next clip, when she’s arrested. While he thought of what to do and figured out the how, he tested the system with a clip of a woman in a cage and this is what he got.

The caged warrior. Talissa?

Given the impossibilities of doing whatever he wanted, the way he wanted it and with all the nudity he could muster, he decided that making a film with AI was practically impossible with the means available to him, for now, but he thought that it could be a good way to illustrate his ideas in some sort of storyboard using AI to create shots, not complete scenes, only shots, 3 to 5 seconds long shots. Like the two shots above.

He played with that for hours, figuring out how to direct that thing call AI to come up with the shots he needed and wanted to somehow create a sequence, he had some altercations with AI sometimes, but he managed to get coarse that thing to generate some interesting visuals. In some cases what he manage to get was a big surprise to him, and sometimes the material had some funny and strange things, I defy you to notice the strange and funny thing in the next clip, but most of the time working with AI was completely annoying and frustrating, it required a lot of patience, the kind of patience a Buddhist might have. AI can be a very annoying beast.

He edited a little movie with some of the shots he managed to produced. He tried to get some shots of what he has in mind for the opening sequence of Crucified Four, where you meet the principal characters. Taia, the Slave, Talissa the warrior, Ide, the priestess, Paulina, the wife of the second in comand, Sabina, the empress and the Centurion. Again, I defy you to identify them. Although I don’t think the Centurion is in this clip.

This is the result.

Cruxlover24 Thanks fot the updates, Margot!!! What are the new films you’ll be working on once you finish this one with Danielle? Is she going to be in the next production?
We are still preparing Crucified Four; but as I mentioned before we have other productions in mind and Dani will take part in them all, except for the individual films with Ligia and Mila.
Mila is extremely busy these days. She contacted Jac to wish him a Happy Birthday and to express her sorrow for Jac’s terrible loss. They talked a bit and the impression Jac had was that she’s really, really busy and might not want to commit to work on a film, at least not right now.

In the possible event of having to cast someone else for the role of Ide, he’s thinking of some possibilities. He hopes he doesn’t have to.

Dani and Ligia are totally confirmed, Simonne has also confirmed but has limitations with her time. Geraldine, who will play Paulina is committed too.

The weather is awful right now, it hasn’t stopped raining and it’s cold. Jac says it looks like February. It should go back to the normal for the year soon, or maybe the climate change is really changing everything. Jac has a joke, we were in the middle of winter, then we had two days of spring, two days of summer and we’re back in winter but we February rain.

Our streaming channel is growing, both with films and subscribers.

We still have the three month deal for 25 bucks

All during the period when Amy was working with you. Thanks for the update on films in the funnel. Just a comment from someone who has produced films: You have a bunch of projects that are not demanding of high budgets, all stuck and unsure of when or if they'll be released. If a commitment was made to finish and release one of those a month, or a week, by completing post work, you'd definitely generate revenue. Finish them all before starting another project (I do get it that it's a hell of a lot more fun for Jac to play in the torture chamber than to sit alone at the editing bench).

You do a great job of promoting the projects as they are being dreamed up and shot, but I've pretty much stopped watching (except for saving off a nice image from time to time), but I don't really expect any more that I'll ever get to see the finished project.

I also get it that Jac is an artiste, so only he can do color correction, etc. in post, but since these are your quickies and surely there is someone who can do basic post work. Save Jac's post work for the big budget films you make (with the money earned by the quick-release ones.)
