Re: Customs chatter (all producers)
How long do you all usually wait for a response when communicating with a producer/studio?
I’m currently in contact (somewhat) with Zoey Ziptie about a custom, but her communication has been very spotty. I initially reached out last month and she didn’t respond for over 2 weeks. Then, once she responded, I immediately sent a follow-up email, but she didn’t respond for another 5 days. I sent another immediate reply and now it’s been over a week with no response.
It’s a little frustrating because I would just like to at least get an idea of when the custom might get made and when I’d need to send payment, but I just can’t seem to get in touch with her. Any ideas/suggestions? How long do you all usually wait for a response, and when is it time to move on? Is sending a double email asking for a response fair? She’s been active on social media so I know she’s not taking a break.

WIth Cruel World, I can usually get a response same or next day, depending on where the hour falls in the time zone difference. White Rose will also tell me when they expect to shoot, so that I'll know when to send the money. But to be fair, I've also done a number of customs with them, so there's already a business relationship there.martbill wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 10:58 pm How long do you all usually wait for a response when communicating with a producer/studio?

What method of communication are you using? Maybe Instagram or TikTok would work better? TBH I'm on neither.
That's why it's good to be in contact with the producer/studio.
Sorry it's proving so difficult.

That's... That's almost too good to be true...martbill wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 8:45 am
Anyone have any experience working with Zoey Ziptie? She responded to a custom inquiry I made and said she's willing to do a 20-minute (!!!) video featuring spreadeagle suspension in a professional dungeon for just £150 (about $200).
Seems like a pretty amazing deal, especially if she's willing to be suspended for that entire time. I sent some info to her about what I'm hoping for, currently waiting for a response.
The rental on that place alone for the hours it will take to setup etc...
I wonder if she is aligning a few customs at the same time in the place, or organising multiple shoots, hence slow response.
Trust me, You'll like it... Eventually.
