Yin Yang Haircut, Chinese Cultural Revolution
During the Chinese Cultural Revolution women deemed to be counterrevolutionaries or who fell out of favor with the Red Guards would face discipline. One popular punishment was the Yin Yang haircut, shaving one side of the head, up on a stage in front of the village. Then they would be stripped and chased through the village by a mob of Red Guards wielding sticks.
