15 minutes after they were locked in the little room

A loud clunk accompanied the lights going out followed by a panicked gasp,

a few minutes later a squeaking metal sound coincided with light emitting from a grid at the end of a chute, a few clanks of metal and total darkness again.....

loss of consciousness, and cardiac arrest in anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.

so an examination made sense to her even though she found it humiliating

and she wasn't thrilled about the idea of a haircut either.

Out in the yard, discomfort was on the menu

As for the others who had survived the first selection...

they too would be subjected to forced exercises and stress positioning.

Being made to stand for long periods with their arms out was torture.
A method employed frequently at Block 10, it requires no props or instruments and no effort on the part of the staff.
