Tony Costa
Tony Costa
Tony Costa
In this short post, we will talk about a man who was, to put it simply, evil. The story will never be fully told, as Tony, after being sentenced to life imprisonment for two murders (Patricia Walsh and Mary Anne Wysocki) in 1974, hanged himself in his cell - his death remained shrouded in mystery, with the possibility that Tony may have actually been murdered.

Although convicted of two murders, it is believed that Costa actually killed a total of eight women. He had always been strange, a loner who, as a hobby, practiced taxidermy. He roamed the roads collecting roadkill; he dissected and preserved them.

Patricia and Mary were killed in a simple manner - with a gun. After this, he dismembered the bodies, removed and rearranged internal organs. He assembled different body parts, creating new, naturally impossible forms. He buried the girls deep in the woods, intentionally mixing parts of their bodies in the graves. It is interesting to note that there is no evidence that Costa had sex with them while they were alive. He enjoyed looking at dead bodies. He partially skinned some victims, horribly disfiguring all of them.

He liked to control his victims, but his greatest love was death, and he loved his girls the most when there was no longer any life in them. His attention manifested in mutilating, dismembering, and burying mixed body parts. Tony did not appreciate fearful looks, tears, and pleas from girls bound to a table or locked in a cage. It is clear that we do not encounter such scenarios in the movies we watch, but I decided to write this post because Tony was unique, and his love should not be forgotten.

However, I believe that this offender has somewhat influenced the pornography industry.

The Macdonald triad
John Marshall Macdonald (9 November 1920 – 16 December 2007) was a forensic psychiatrist most renowned for his theory of the Macdonald triad of sociopathic traits and his profiling of serial killers.
If there is a person in your neighborhood who abuses animals, starts fires, and wets the bed, there is a possibility that they may become a serial criminal. I advise you to buy a chips and beer because if you're lucky, cute teenage girls will soon start to disappear.

It was not my intention with this post, in any way, to allude to the movie Citizen X (1995) - or to the work of Andrei Chikatilo. But since the film has already been mentioned, let me say a few words about it:

This is a film with a decent IMDb rating, suitable for an afternoon viewing by someone who deals with serial killers on weekends and finds nothing more than "may it not happen again" in their crimes.

The entire film is actually an inexorable bureaucratic conglomerate of horror called the Communist Party. An outstanding portrayal of Chikatilo's success in crime and a critique of the system that enabled it. The shallowness of party-favored officials, often mentally unfit for the positions they hold, fills the film from beginning to end. Institutions are trapped by political ideology, and the instruments of state coercion blindly serve a manifesto that nobody actually understands. At various points, the film slips into a darkly humorous depiction of the one-party, authoritarian regime steeped in paranoia directed towards Western countries. Citizen X is, in fact, a sad journey of a politically and sociologically backward society incapable of independently dealing with unprecedented mental and sexual deviation.

Chikatilo was, by almost all parameters, a completely inferior serial killer, and if the case had placed him on the other side of the globe, he would, most likely, have been stopped immediately. All of this raises the question in me of how some of the serial killers at the top of my list would have fared if the opponent was the stagnant police of the Soviet Union?

The entire film, in my opinion, can be represented by these two scenes.

Now, we will talk about a man who lived his dream - he committed a crime, spent his life free, and in the meantime became something resembling a famous public figure.
I Sagawa.PNG
Issei Sagawa was born in Japan and studied in France. As a thirty-two-year-old student, he invited a fellow student, Renée Hartevelt, to his room to read poetry - instead, he killed her using a gun. After this, he engaged in sexual acts with her body. Since he failed to bite into the body, he used a knife. Issei ate most of her face, breasts, thighs, and feet. He consumed some of the meat fresh, cooked a portion, and even froze some.

When the body started to decompose, he cut it up, packed it into two suitcases but was arrested in the meantime.

A French judge deemed Sagawa insane, and therefore, he was deemed unfit to stand trial. After some time, he was transferred to a mental institution in Japan. A commission there found him fit for trial, but in the meantime, France dropped the charges, and Sagawa was released.

Issei became a public figure, appearing on television, featuring in movies, writing books, and even providing commentary on restaurant menus. He passed away in 2022.

It is clear that this criminal has had a considerable impact on pornographic culture, and these are just a few photos undoubtedly inspired by his work.

Wait, how did Sagawa end up in Japan after being declared insane in France? The Marquis de Sade himself is picking up his jaw reading this.

Thank you for bringing the mistake to my attention. English is not my native language, and I use OpenAI for translations. The error likely occurred during the conversion of the text from one language to another. I have made the correction in the post. Thank you once again.

Arthur Shawcross, better known as the Genesee River Killer, committed crimes that can be divided into two phases. In the first phase (which we won't discuss in detail), he killed two children. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, of which he served 14 - his early release from prison remains a controversial issue. Interestingly, Arthur had negotiated a confession deal, and he never spoke about these crimes.

After being released on parole, the second wave of crimes began:
Arthur likely killed twelve women (mostly prostitutes), although he was convicted of eleven crimes.

Arthur was a family man but had a mistress. He regularly used the services of prostitutes, often killing them. A double life was not unfamiliar to him. Even during the peak of disappearances and undercover police presence on the streets, prostitutes were not afraid of him.

Arthur typically strangled his victims, as he described in an interview:
How do you know when they are dead?
Arthur Shawcross: How? I don't know I just do. More or less after they just relax, the body doesn't fight anymore. Now it takes about four minutes, probably - sometimes less than that.
He disposed of bodies by throwing them into the river, leaving them on the shore, or hiding them in ditches and similar places. He often revisited the corpses, engaging in acts of intimacy, dismembering, and mutilating them (immediately after death or in advanced stages of decomposition).

Arthur talks about cannibalism on multiple occasions. He claims to have discovered cannibalism during his service in the Vietnam War, where he allegedly beheaded a young Vietnamese girl with a machete. He dismembered her in front of a friend, cooked some of the meat, and began eating it to extract information from another girl. Authorities attempt to dispute this story.

In conclusion, Arthur also claims to have been sexually abused by his mother, a charge she has rejected as untrue.

I think that strangling girls will never cease to be a popular method of execution when it comes to serial killers, or even the perfect ending to every porn movie.

I am so proud of this mix of photographs, take a look at Arthur's face.

The song opens with the voice of Arthur Shawcross taken from an interview.

The album cover is very intriguing and may be able to connect with the whole story, so I'm adding it to the post.

Have you ever asked yourself this question (look at the title of the song in the link above)? I think our favorite criminals regarded them more as an all-you-can-eat buffet.

I chose photos of four very beautiful prostitutes. Royalty (far left) really knows how to occupy my thoughts.
