I never ask for more than one individual at a time, I request each character individually and cut & paste them on a requested background. the only thing not AI in the image below is the piece of wood the red haired girl is hanging from.
To get consistent characters I request a long running TV character and specify the actress or actor that played them. I'm sure most people can recognize everyone in this image. There are 6 different generations used here ( Willow's head was from a different body )

Sexyai is the one I have been using. You need patience and sometimes you won’t get exactly what you want. But I find it worth the effort, and there are few limits to the nature of the content.
