I think when I first saw that scene of the girl on the wheel, my mouth must have dropped open in amazement, as in "Did I see that right? First the hot coal, and then...I must be dreaming..." followed by a scramble for the remote to hit the Rew button.
So did he actually remove her shift? That image certainly looks like it's from the film. Because if I remember correctly, she confessed after a couple of cuts, but with the shift still on. And of course, I thought to myself, what an opportunity missed...
