No problem, Will. Post all you please. My new workstation arrived today, but I am going to have to re-install EVERYTHING, from browser to Daz Studio. I have no idea how long it'll be before I can resume working on 3D Art, but at least I have a working machine now.

I think the Ft. Wayne story goes all the way back to Art of Darkness, if my poor memory is right. Rendering those images was really, really difficult due to the size of the images, and re-posting and/or continuing the story was just too difficult to consider after AoD disappeared. My new workstation should be able to handle larger scenes, so maybe I'll continue the story.

No promises, though. Right now I'm only barely beginning to bring the workstation up to par.

Hey Will. Thanks for the kind words. Can you remember if it really was AoD that I posted Ft. Wayne to? There have been so many disappearances of wonderful forums for our hobby that I can't remember them all, especially since I can't get at my stored data. Speaking of which, I feel certain the data is still safe. As best as I could tell, something on the motherboard went bad, so bad that I couldn't even get the system to boot with an emergency diskette. But that probably wouldn't affect the auxiliary hard disks where I had my data stored. Plus, I made daily backups of all my disk drives.

As for the BATS peril, I'm only moderately interested in BATS, which I consider more a form of execution rather than real torture. I do, however, really like slow roasting scenarios, such as revolving over a fire while tied to a spit (not impaled though--that's another execution, which a GIMP could not survive--I want her alive and screaming as she's slowly roasted alive.) There's all kinds of similar scenarios, and the Roasting Alive folder on my hard drive is one of my favorites to peruse.

Ah, our fantasies! Now, if I just had a working desktop computer!

I respectfully disagree with you Bleumune Bats are more than executions.
I could never understand why a lot of Gimpers don't see bats especially slow roasting bats is not torture when it the most painful torture you can imagine.

Many more then not inquisition fembats were very slow, not large bomb fire, taken better part of an hour for the witch to die, which means they were tortured roasted to death.

The way the Fort Wayne Indians were burning killing white sluts is much same as lot of the inquisitors did to witches.

One of my favorite peril scenarios is tied to a spit. Your set with Paula and her friend you posted on the old gimp forum is excellent. Your stories are really good too.

Zowie!!! I'm still in the early stages of bringing my new workstation to life, but one of the first things I did was to try to resurrect Daz Studio. There's still more to do, but I was able to load up an image I was doing some testing one just before my crash, and it RENDERED! See the two images I posted.

The new beast is FAST! My old machine was choking on just two characters with the background scenery (I think it was the scenery that was gobbling up the memory and making the image file too large for my Gigabyte 11 GB GPU). With my new RTX A4000 GPU, my first render (at 1500 pixels in width) took only 13 minutes. Even when I kicked the resolution up to 2500 pixels in width, it only took 40 minutes -- and that's with two extra characters added!

Now, back to work. I need to add photoshop and get all my brushes loaded so I can add smoke and other postwork stuff.
