The movie was shot last summer in Denver, and Sabina and Don were great to work with. In my opinion, it's an improvement over my first movie, "Room 187". This one includes a story line and dialogue, and the scenes are a little tighter. The breast bondage, one my favorite pastimes, turned out nicely in the end. It reminds me of the early ZFX efforts, which remain some of my favorites.

The good news is, Sabina has agreed to do another shoot this summer. She's a former "Score" model and has done some other shoots. I'll plan a different approach, and do most of the bondage myself. A little tighter and more diabolical. And of course, more breast bondage. I have saved an alternative breast bondage ending from "The Collector" for my third movie, a series of nasty little shorts in the HOM Bondage Classics style.

That project, which I shot last year in Portland, included two other actresses. Sloth: The Stoning looks like quite a find, although it's German and may be hard to find a copy online. According to a review I read, the American victim in the film also gets raped in addition to being whipped and buried in the ground to be stoned to death. Whether it works as porn is another matter. For my money, Tentacle Rape Swallowed Woman isn't particularly erotic. Despite Maria's beauty, most of the scenes depicting Maria's struggles and violations aren't arousing. It's possible there are too many tentacles in a number of the scenes and they prevent viewers from seeing some sexy writhing and struggling. To make matters worse, the lighting and makeup at times seem to highlight some acne blemishes on Maria's lovely face. I think this film is really only for fans of this particular niche.

The movie starts with a beautiful nurse, Maria, inspecting a hospital area late at night. Maria, looking super cute in her white uniform and cap, uses a flashlight to check out some of the darkened rooms. She hears a funny burbling noise and before she knows it, strange tentacles are wrapping themselves around her arms, legs and waist. The tentacles take squealing Maria to a metal hospital bed with no mattresses on it and pin Maria on the bed. What looks like about 10 tentacles work Maria over -- the tentacles keep her tied to the bed and feel up her body and legs. The tentacles also shake the bed around the darkened hospital room, as frightened Maria squirms and squeals.

The nurse's cap gets knocked off in the commotion and soon the tentacles focus on other articles of clothing. The tentacles open the top part of Maria's uniform to expose her white bra and a tentacle with a "penis" ending arrives and shoots jizz on Maria's uniform and bra, causing parts of her clothing to sizzle and melt away. The tentacles rip off part of Maria's pantyhose and pull off her white panties as Maria continues to be restrained. A burned opening in Maria's bra exposes her right tit.

The tentacles pull Maria into the alien's mouth, as Maria writhes and struggles to avoid this horrible fate. She is swallowed again, though, and inside the alien is forced to once again blow the "penis" tentacle, while another penis-like creature and other tentacles play with her pussy. More tentacle sucking and fucking follows in the film's final 20 minutes but it is all -- remarkably -- consensual and not worth describing.

My grade: C

Any movie featuring beautiful Maria Ozawa in some GIMP situations is going to get a passing grade. But the truly noteworthy moments in this film are few and far between. The typical GIMPer shouldn't go out of his way to see Tentacle Rape Swallowed Woman.

It's an unfortunate sign of the times for those of us who are not technically challenged, but the trend on most porn sites is to no longer release DVDs, probably in part because they don't want to take a chance on getting prosecuted for distributing obscenity through the mail, which is how the feds set up Rob Black and others. Online downloads are the way most porn is available now, so you're going to have to learn to adapt, and the sooner the better.

As far as downloading movies, it's really no different from downloading images off the net. I don't know what kind of browser you have, but with me, it's merely a matter of clicking FILE, SAVE AS and then just waiting for it to finish. You do know how to save a picture, right?

Burning them onto DVD is a bit more complicated, and I resisted learning how up until recently. But it's really not that hard. You'll need a computer with an internal DVD burner; most new ones have them. And like I mentioned, there are lots of free DVD burning software programs available on the net. Is there something specific about this that we can help you with? I'm no expert, but I know how to do it now and I'd be willing to offer suggestions.

Format would be one or more of wmv, avi, mp4, etc. A format of rm or ram would indicate RealPlayer, which might be a deal-breaker for some people (it would be for me). DRM restrictions would tell us that "you can watch for 30 days" or "you can watch while a member of the site".

Lately I have been using an Open Source application called DeVeDe on my Ubuntu workstation to create DVD ISO images that I can burn to DVD on another workstation, since my Ubuntu workstation doesn't have a DVD burner. As I said, very circuitous.

Complicating the issue, as jhlipton mentioned, is that different website updates use varying file formats. Sgt Major's Backdoor Bondage uses RM. Dan Hawke's Best Bound used RM originally but his later updates are WMV files. Steve Power's Powershotz downloads are MPG files. The latest Kink.com, DungeonCorp, Twisted Factory and ClassMedia/BDSMpire updates are WMV files, although some of the earlier ones in some cases were RM files. Not every program converts every format, and I've found RM conversions to be problematic in some cases. Nothing is ever easy.

Several months back, other forum members posted more straightforward methods using, as I recall, free or shareware programs. Maybe they will re-post, or you could search back through the archives. Also, if a DVD burner came with your PC, you might have a DVD burning application bundled with it that converts common formats (WMV, AVI, MPG) to DVD. Detailed instructions are difficult because there are so many disparate factors involved. However, the basic process is the same, and easily mastered.

In his earlier post, jhlipton also mentioned DRM. None of the sites I frequent use DRM, which would be a deal-breaker for me. I downloaded a clip from the Hustler website many years ago that was DRM protected, and only viewable as long as my membership was active. Kind of disappointing, but really it was an uninspired (and uninspiring) vanilla porn site anyway, so I shed few tears. If you are looking to make VCDs or DVDs, DRM would be a deal breaker for you as well.

I urge you to figure out how to do it yourself since the logistics of moving downloaded files the size of most website updates to some third party for DVD creation poses quite an obstacle. Also, intentionally or not, it promotes illegal file sharing.

I don't know much about the files you're using, but the Movavi system for converting files may be helpful to you. It costs money but there is a free trial period. You can use that system to transfer a file to DVD.

If you can arrange it, it might be best to get someone who knows about computers to help you get something set up. In that case, you could try testing files of a non-GIMP nature. I think you will find it is difficult trying to follow the advice you get through the Internet, despite the best intentions of everyone who is trying to help.

Also, Thanks for the heads up (literally and figuratively) on the upcoming Alba film. Hard to believe Alba is actually going to get naked, are you sure about this, is this a done deal? Do you have a link to the online script?

In any event, thanks for the kind words. Once you have seen the Maria Ozawa tentacles movie, I would be interesting in hearing what you (and others) thought of it. Maybe I've miscalled this one with the 'C' grade. I don't think I have, but maybe.

According the IMDB, she plays a prostitute named Joyce Lakeland, and if you read the message board for the film, someone posted the link for the actual script, which I've placed in my Homepage URL. I didn't read the entire script, but if you skim to just Joyce's scenes, she's tied up, attacked or brutalized in just about every scene she's in. And yes, the script calls for nudity; I seems to recall a moment where she strips down to show off the bruises on her naked body.

Of course, this is the same Jessica Alba who got away with playing a stripper and still managed to avoid showing any skin, but if they film the movie according to the script, yes, she'll get naked and treated pretty roughly, and that by itself is worth the price of admission.

There's also some yahoo on the message board that's claiming the film lost its funding and won't be made, but the latest I've heard is that the production was saved and should start filming in late April.

I want to elaborate a bit more on what exactly Tunebite is and what it has to do with DRM, for those of you who may never have heard of it. Tunebite is a software program that allows users to legally remove DRM from audio and video files that they have legally purchased. When I say legally removes DRM, I mean just that Legally. Tunebite doesn't actually strip the DRM from the original file itself, rather it employs another method of dealing with the DRM. Tunebite plays the original DRM protected copy while it simultaneously records a DRM free copy of it in a second file. The end result is two files, the original with it's DRM intact and a DRM free copy. The program does the recording/encoding in real time, for example if you have it processing a movie that is about one and a half hour long, it will take one and a half hour to record the DRM free copy.

Tunebite has some limitations and they include:

You must have the playback license for the content on the same PC as the software.
You can't purchase a DRM protected movie on one computer and then copy the file itself to another PC to run it through Tunebite. Tunebite will not be able to load the file.

It's a bit of a resource hog.
Tunebite's encoding/recording process is heavily resource dependant, you can't run any other programs while Tunebite is encoding without running the risk of corrupting the resulting output file. As a matter of fact, it warns you not to run anything else while it is encoding.

It's got a huge user interface.
Tunebite's user interface is fairly large, if your screen resolution is not set to 1024x768 or bigger, the interface will not fit on the screen.

I own a registered copy of Tunebite and I've already used it to remove the DRM from a few video and audio files.

What is there about RealPlayer that is a deal-breaker for some people (including you)?

Just to be clear, I have no vested interested in or preference for any particular video format. I'm just trying to understand what puts off you and others about RealPlayer.

Just got the latest batch in from Video Mayhem and as I do prelim scans there appears to be some promising material here.

On the discussion about converting files, I have Nero OEM Suite. When you burn a DVD with this program, it converts any file to one that can be played on a regular DVD player. Depending on the size of the original picture format, the quality will differ. What I mean by that is that if the original was only a 3x3 square on your computer, the picture will be distorted on the DVD.

Lastly, has anyone heard anything about Youtied.com? I may have missed something because I was sick for a while.

Just to give a quick update on the status of YouTied (since I'm getting lots of questions about it, and I see questions about it here on this forum), yes the plan is still to bring it back..

All the data, the videos, the pictures, your favorites list, etc, all that data is still there, and safe, and we intend on bringing it back online soon. Indeed, I was working on Youtied.com most of yesterday and most of this morning..

It's just that I don't have as much time to work on it as I'd like (w/ a day job, etc), and soo.. it's taking a while. My concern also is that I don't want to release something "half-baked" either.. I dont want to release and then be swamped w/ requests, be unable to support the bandwidth, etc, soo.. we've put thought into how to make the site work going forward, and we have a plan. It's just taking a while to get everything organized..

Don't have an ETA yet on *when* precisely it'll be ready, but it should be ... soon.. :-)

I bought a movie a few years back at one place, liked it, and decided to get a back up at another place, when I was getting a few films from them. Fast forward a few weeks. I watch the back up movie and wow, I notice one of the better scenes is missing. So now I'm thinking great, what other scenes have these geniuses axed.

Since that discovery, I no longer patronize that particular place of business.

Your comments about SuperJAV are interesting. I can't say I've ever seen a film that looked edited, but I wouldn't swear to it one way or another. I'm assuming the films are being copied in some place like China, so if any editing is taking place, I would imagine it's over there.

I would be interested to learn more, though, as this is the first time I've heard about this issue with Japanese films (American films that come into Canada -- that's a whole different issue).

weewilly: I don't like Realplayer because it's the only one that will not convert. I use .avi (which is sooo versatile). I like sticking to one format and anything that I download automatically converts to .avi without my help except realplayer files. They have become the square pegs in my round holes.

But in The Killer Inside Me, if it's filmed according to the script, Jessica will get tied up and whipped with a belt in one scene, be sexually attacked (it sort of sounds like a combination of rape and rough sex) in another scene and get beaten up or worse in a third scene. Since Sin City was based fairly closely on a few of Frank Miller's graphic novels, I wouldn't expect much in the way of Jessica Alba in Sin City 2. It has been a LONG time since I read them, but I don't recall her character playing any substantial role in any of the other stories. But who knows?

Barbarella was a fluff movie, made memorable by sex kitten Jane Fonda. Jean-Claude Forest's comics were filled with sex, violence, and kinky stuff, so if someone decided to remake the movie and forgo the camp aspects for the sexier aspects, it could be really wild. If Jessica Alba decided to actually play the role in that respect, I think she might be pretty hot in it, and that would be my choice.

weewilly: It isn't that I hate Realmedia files. A lot of my older video clips are RM or RAM files. However, I almost always have issues trying to convert them for VCD or DVD. Sometimes I can overcome the problems, but sometimes I cannot. So, given the option, I would choose almost anything over RM formatted files if I had a choice. But it's not a deal-breaker for me.

2 things:

[A] It's a proprietary format, so there aren't a lot of apps for converting or even viewing it.

[B] It's designed to use smaller files, so quality is usually pretty poor. (It was developed before DSL and cable modems ruled the world -- if you're still on dial-up, it would be preferable to other formats, as l;ong asyou don't mind being stuck with the Real Player viewer.)

"Martyrs" has a bit of a story, one that is placed in between the blood, cutting, beating of women, flaying people alive, force feeding people, etc. The story is this, and only this: a cult believes that martyrdom is possible outside of religious belief and that a person can have visions of the afterlife if they suffer martyrdom. That's it. Period! A cult that wants to know what's after death tortures people to the point of martyrdom to find out what's after death. This might sound like a cool idea, but it is overpowered by the extreme level of violence of the film, which is so incredibly realistic that it's amazing! The French have a knack for producing the most realistic and bloody torture porn films - for good or for ill.

Regarding the DVD's, I've never made a purchase from superJAV, it was another site that sold me the movie with the missing scene. ... If it's their supplier, as you presume, that's doing the editing, it would mean those at the site are guiltless.

Unless the editors are inept, you probably wouldn't notice. They'd try to maintain continuity while shaving off what they deem to be unessential scenes.

Which blows, because what they consider unessential to the flow of the movie, could be, to you or me, the hottest scene or scenes in the movie.

Meanwhile, I'd like to know more about the Japanese porn movie you purchased that was edited. Do you recall the name of the movie, and the scene that was cut? I'm curious to know if this is a film I have seen and, if I have seen it, whether my version was edited.

I should say I do realize the films that show up in North America aren't always direct copies of the discs as they were originally released. For example, in my review last year of the first of the Slave Island compilation discs, I did mention the fact that two four-hour movies had been compressed on onto one disc, with the obvious reduction in quality. As I mentioned in my review, that's not how the movie was released -- the compression was done by someone who pirated the movies.

On, on-screen Jessica losing the fear of nudity while in bondage. We'd definitely get some good GIMP out of her if in conjunction, she'd also lose the fear of being in a NC-17 rated film.

Has anyone here tried to download GIGA or ZEN movies with a Mac computer? I tried Friday, and all I get is blank pages after I click the download key. I'm confident my system can play the files, but I can't seem to download. Both websites seem to be identical and run by the same operation. Is there any other source for downloads? With Ring Diva out of the picture, there is no North American source of any of the Zen flicks and they have a couple of new ones that look real promising.

For whatever reason the links for Violent Shoot 6 don't work if you click on them, at least they don't for me, but if you type them in yourself they work just fine.

As for Slave Island Compilation film, yes it did get a B+ rating, recognizing all the good stuff that was in that (unfortunately compressed) film. But we shouldn't forget that individual Slave Island titles have scored much higher. For example, I gave Slave Island 7 an A and the great Slave Island 11 got a rare A+. Hiccup also gave a very positive review (although there is no rating) to Slave Island 5. So while Slave Island Compilation is worth checking out, it will never be a substitute for some of the individual titles. And, as best I can tell, the Slave Island movies haven't had any scenes deleted.

What does anybody think about the Martyrs pics that Tarl posted on his site? I have a few observations just from taking a quick glace at the stills.

Number one, they seem awfully dark. Not necessarily a bad thing since it's good for the atmosphere, but I like to see my damsels suffer, not squint to try to figure out what's happening.

Number 2, I notice the bad guy left her a seat to sit on with a hole in it with a bucket underneath, not unlike a toilet. Looks like the plan is to keep her there for a while, which is smart planning :)

But number 3, later on down the line he's shown cutting her hair off, or at least much shorter than it was before. What an idiot! Shades of Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta. As a long hair fetishist, that's nearly sacrilegious to me. If I had her at my disposal, I wouldn't intentionally ruin one of her best assets.

Still, looks intriguing enough to add to my Netflix queue, but I'm not going to get my hopes up real high.

I'm reminded of another cute/hot property from another time, Joey Heatherton. Read the poll about J Alba and have to say Barbarella is the only movie I see with any kind of potential to have anything that interests me GIMP-wise. Sin City 2 I have no expectations for, since I admit to skimming through the comics after the first movie came out to see if there would be another torture scene and there wasn't, the first movie was pretty close to the comics as well so by that reasoning there likely will be very little of interest.

The other movie I skimmed over the script and again saw nothing of interest.

What's really got me interested is the new Heavy Metal movie coming out, which is going to be CG and may hopefully include story lines that were popular in the comics similar to the first one, most notably Druuna, which I linked an image of in my homepage URL. It'd be really awesome to me at least if they redid the Taarna storyline as well.

Also, though it may not have that much potential, I'm looking out for the new Red Sonja movie coming out next year. Hopefully it won't just be Sonja kicking everyones ass without fail from start to finish and she at least gets captured once or twice in the course of it all. After all, from what I've seen of the comic book covers, she spent plenty of time doing it there.

However, I'm sure the other big news item today is on topic -- that Phil Spector has been convicted of second-degree homicide in the death of Barbarian Queen star Lana Clarkson.

Wow, Marilyn Chambers was young. I do remember one flick when she was younger where she got knocked out, that was a mild gimp moment. My earliest gimp moments were mainstream. When I did go to the dark side the two I remembered were June Bauer, and Nicki Dial. June had a couple of bondage flicks that she was very convincing in. In fact it appeared far less consensual then some of the Jap so-called rape flicks.

Lana Clarkson was a beautiful lady who starred in two of the greatest mainstream GIMP scenes in history, Barbarian Queen and its even-better sequel. We're talking naked bondage, torture and attempted rape. For that, she's definitely a GIMP Hall of Famer in my book. Amazingly, neither one of these films is available yet on DVD, but if you can locate copies somewhere, even on VHS, I highly recommend them.

Tall (5'11", statuesque and beautiful, she was one of those people whose presence really took your breath away. Her murder at the hands of Spector is a classic Hollywood tragedy. I remember the day she died, I saw the headline "Actress Lana Clarkson Dead", and couldn't believe it was her... and when I read whose house she was in I knew immediately who'd killed her... as a long time Beatles fan I'd read about the incident with John Lennon years ago.

Its taken 5 years to get to this point, how much time will he spend in jail???

The original Barbarella sucked so much -- not only as a GIMP movie but also as a SciFi movie -- that it is easy to imagine that a CGI remake would be just as bad.

Okay, it's off-topic, but I'm not going to just sit here and have you guys re-heat this crap about how O.J. got off because of alleged tampering or supposed mistakes the LAPD made on the case. Gimme a break. What did they do, spill a bucket of his DNA all over the crime scene?

The reason he got away with murder was because, plain and simple, the mostly black jury was looking for an out and they were too stupid to understand the MASSIVE evidence against their guy, or else chose to ignore it. Not police corruption, not the prosecution's mistakes, none of that. Anyone with half a brain looking at the evidence would have found him guilty. They can write all the books they want saying otherwise, but the state had no chance with the jury that was chosen. BP - having done years of extensive research into Men's Adventure Magazine covers allow me to add some historical context to this baboon issue and hopefully clear up any confusion.

It is often overlooked that in addition to Nazi Germany, Italy and Japan, the fourth member of the Axis powers was Mabuti. As the war dragged on the Reich was faced with two major obstacles. Far too many bound babe prisoners and not enough guards to torment them. As Mabuti had limited military capability it was decided to use the resources they did have - namely, baboons for guards and bamboo for caning. The arrangement seems to have worked out reasonably well until it was discovered the baboons had higher IQs than the original guards and the program was scrapped in late '43.

I can find only two inaccuracies on this particular depiction. First, the baboons would have swaztikas emblazoned on their foreheads. And the hero coming to the rescue does not have a torn shirt exposing his pecs and abs (mandatory uniform for any rescue attempt of a bound babe menaced by Nazis and baboons).

OK, time to add to the rape database again. Unfortunately, "H6" and "Gutterballs" are the only ones that worked for me.

Chainsaw Sally (2004): Brief flashbacks to the rape and murder of a mother in her home by three escaped lunatics who have shot her husband, The two children, including the title character, watch from second floor. There's no nudity in these scenes, which are grainy anyhow.

Gutterballs (2008): Slim sexy brunette Lisa (Candice Lewald) in pink heels, white shirt and ultra-short miniskirt gets gang-raped in the game room at a bowling alley. The head asshole rapes her on a pinball machine, similar to but not as intense as the scene in "The Accused." The others hold her down and verbally abuse her. The second guy rapes her from behind as she's bent over an air hockey table. The third guy rapes her on a pool table. The fourth guy shoves a bowling pin up her snatch. Lewald's shirt gets ripped open in the first rape to reveal nice, but fake tits. Her acting was passable. There's some handgagging, punching, kicking and slapping, but no bondage. Entire rape sequence runs nearly 10 minutes.

(jhlipton and other death aficionados: There's a scene in this movie where a topless woman gets strangled from behind with shoelaces. Her tits get pressed up against the window a couple of times during the struggle. There's also an implausible death by forced 69.)

Rome: Season 1, Episode 2: Legionnaire rapes a sheep herder by a tree as the rest of the soldiers wait patiently. It's not violent and there's no nudity in this extremely short scene.

Rome: Season 2, Episode 7: Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson) has to whip slave girl Gaia (Zuleikha Robinson) for dissing his wife. She fights back so he throws her on a table and pumps away. Bleeding from the mouth, she laughs at him and asks, "Is that all you got?" He flips her over, cleavegags her and takes her from behind. (Unfortunately, this scene was semi-consensual because Gaia likes it rough)

Waz (2007): Thugs have broken into an apartment and rape a naked brunette with her mother tied to chair. They cut her with a knife, douse her with some sort of fluid and it's implied that they sodomize her with a broken beer bottle. This bloody scene, interspersed with a cop imagining the horror, lasts for about 50 seconds. Unfortunately, the scene loses effectiveness because of the quick cuts.

H6-Diary of a Serial Killer (2005): Psychopath straps underwear-clad prostitutes in full spreadeagle on a table. He leaves them there and returns periodically to rape them before torturing and killing them with a chainsaw. No nudity. Good acting.

Saw 4 (2007): In a cheap motel room, we get quick shots of Polaroids of rape victims handcuffed, cleavegagged, etc. A TV turns on showing a grainy scene of the fat motel manager raping a cleavegagged and blindfolded clothed girl tied to the bed.

I think that "The Killer Inside Me" would be a good Jessica Alba movie. I was never that enthused about Barbarella.

I just wanted to give you a quick update on the status of the new show coming out. It's called Goon Squad and stars Amber Bliss. The story is pretty simple: After a terrorist attack, a secret squad is formed to abduct and torture peace activists who have been dubbed terrorists. The real motives of course, are much more carnal.

It's your basic political torture drama. It's a very strong show in terms of content, there is a lot of explicit sexual stuff, but to the whipping fans of the world it may be somewhat disappointing. There is no whipping. If you like electro torture and asphyxia and brutal forced sexual encounters, well this one's got quite a bit. I guess it depends on what you like. I was trying to keep the torture more in line with what might occur in a modern dungeon and in my mind, that didn't include flogging.

Amber does a great job in the movie, and she is really a looker IMHO. She has no piercings or tats and really plays the defiant hippie chick to a tee. If you are unfamiliar, she is the redheaded beauty from the "Midnite Attacker" movie within a movie portion of The Jackbooth Job.

There will be a trailer online in the near future. I'm hoping for next week. I WAS hoping for this week but it just didn't happen. When it is ready I'll let you know. The trailer will be very soft compared to the movie, probably R+ rated. The more explicit portions are not shown and there are some VERY explicit portions. Don't try to draw too much from the trailer other than the look and feel of it.

The movie itself will likely be online soon at ZFXVOD.com. The DVD will be out eventually, probably next month but it's a bit up in the air right now.

There will eventually be a part 2 to Goon Squad with both Amber and Lisa Kinkaid. The long awaited ZULU footage circa 2003. Yeah, it's been that long. Probably coming in the fall of '09 but maybe sooner. Hard to say on that right now.

Years ago Bo Derek was apparently almost raped by a horny Orangutan during the making of a Tarzan movie. Which of his comics is your favorite?

Well, to my knowledge, Gary Roberts only made 2 live action films, one of which was pretty good that I reviewed years ago called Out All Night. Gary told me that his other film was better but I never saw that one. After that, he abandoned filmmaking and concentrated exclusively on his artwork.

If he's interested in going back to producing films, I would definitely be interested. Roberts' art is about as close to ZFX as far as themes go, and I know he's a huge fan of Rick's work. My fantasy is that someday he and Rick will collaborate on a live-action version of "The Black Van" (probably my favorite of Roberts comics but I like them all). If that can't happen, maybe Gary can give it a shot going solo. Certainly, he has the vision and knows what he wants. I don't know if he can duplicate onscreen what he puts out in his comics but it sounds like a worthwhile idea.

Guess what came in the mail tonight? The new Darkroom film, The Collector. I'll be giving it a look this weekend and hopefully be reviewing it soon. Life is looking a bit more brighter these days.

Without a doubt, the highlight is the confirmation that the second Goon Squad movie will have the Lisa Kinkaid footage from 2003. That's going to be amazing. We no longer have access to the stills from that shoot that were posted in January 2004, but I remember the pics, and Lisa looked terrific. I can't wait. I'm already prepared to boldly predict the sequel will be better than the first movie, and I think the second Goon Squad movie will be a serious contender for best movie of the year.

Those were built up over time. I just watched "Gutterballs," and that scene prompted me to share the list. A few more words about "Gutterballs." It's a low-budget revenge movie filmed in Canada, and all the music is by Canadian bands from the 1970s and 80s. The gang-rape is about the only thing GIMP-worthy in the movie IMHO. The dialogue is often hilarious.

As for "H6," I did a mini-review some time ago here although the link to the stills is now dead. I forgot to grade the GIMP scenes, which would be a B-minus.

Interesting comment. I would think that Roberts is one of the few that does draw a racial mix. Black Van has a Asian police officer or Meter Maid, Black Cheer Leaders. The Mean Lady that is on like Dark Cabin and the Grove seems to be a mixed race. You sure can't say he dosn't have different races for the bad guys. Anyway the one thing I could say seems funny is that once you have the Mother and Daughters bare but naked you can't tell which is which. Gary Roberts: I love Roberts, he knows how to draw believably, and he doesn't hold back. I would love to see him do a live action movie, but only if it was done well.

Drawing allows you show things you could not show in real life... so the movie would need a decent budget so prosthetics could realistically be made.

The only criticism I have is that his damsels tend to all look alike... but he puts them in such dire peril... and follows MY MIND so well I would have to rank him as one of the best bondage and sexual torture artists ever to work in the industry.

Well, I was hoping for better things, but overall, I'm pretty pleased about our 9th place finish this year. We came in 8th last year, but the important thing is that once again, we finished in the Top 10 and I think that's pretty damn good. Give yourselves a collective pat on the back.

In looking over the top finishers, it's like Deju Vu all over again. Nearly everybody who placed among the top 10 last year is back there again with very few exceptions. Only the order has changed.

Once again, the Luvbights swept the awards, winning Golds in 3 of the 4 categories in which they were nominated, including the Gold for Best Free Website. However, they didn't repeat in the most glaring injustice from last year, when the looks-challenged Dee Luvbight astoundingly beat out dozens of better candidates in the Best Model race. Third, we gain our horde of loyal acolytes the old fashioned way...we give lots of stuff away for free, and have been doing so for almost 10 years. Half of our traffic comes outside the US, because you don't need a credit card to view every picture on our site.

Fourth, we don't know our vote totals from either year, but I'm happy to reveal our web traffic, to wit: Between 31-Mar-2008 and 18-Mar-2009, people from 480,631 different IP addresses downloaded 79,543 images a total of 8,899,465 times. We recorded 124,588,181 total "hits" and 17,461,126 "page views". I understand that last year we sent almost 10% of total traffic going to the awards site.

That's almost 9 million photos a year downloaded by half a million different people (each visitor gets a cookie when they enter our age verification portal, so we know it's not one person renewing his DHCP lease every visit).

We have 6,700 members of our Yahoo group...that's where we posted two messages asking people to vote for us (one msg each for rounds one and two). We didn't vote for ourselves or ask our family and friends to do so. Those 6,700 members are our voters. They vote every day (or so they tell us). We've come a long way since our 19th place finish in the 2005 SIGNYs.

Fifth: while it's certainly fun for me to see my name at the top of a few lists in the Bondage Awards, to me it says a lot more about our fans' loyalty than about my skill. I'm not claiming to be the best, but I keep trying to improve and I work every week to keep our fans happy.

I have great respect for the photographers and riggers in the top ten, and I know many of them personally. I try to learn from the best and have greatly benefitted from people like Lew and Lochai, Bob and Chantal, Charly B and especially David Lawrence. I've taken classes from Jasmine Sinclaire, Claire Adams, Jewell Marceau, Ian Rath and Eden Wells. It may take me decades to catch up with Gord or PD's invention skills and one of my proudest moments was when Ken Marcus told me he liked one of the photos in my portfolio.

Sixth: that's my wife you're talking about, so show some respect, please. Your wife should be so hot when she's almost fifty.

The appeal of our site is not as simple as a perfectly made-up model or my modicum of skill in lighting...we live the Bondage life and share it every week. Dee spends 3-4 hours every day chatting with her fans.

I'm quite disappointed in our banking system however. We continue as a country to export those businesses that we are embarrassed to be associated with. Yet we buy their products in large quantity every day. Recently called at least 30 banks in an attempt to get a merchant account. Was turned down by every bank for being too high risk. Doesn't surprise me since the banking system in this country forgot what high risk meant a long time ago.

I'd like to thank the Europeans for being open minded enough to allow us to continue to operate. Selling a weightless product that is very low risk. Though the credit card processors overseas are not transparent and withhold large sums of money that they never pay because they are losing money in their other businesses and use us to cover their losses knowing that we can't sue because we have no legal protection....at least they are allowing us to stay in business. Americans would be devastated if we ceased to exist. Americans will pay up to cover the losses we incur by having to deal with third party processors in third world countries. Powershotz pays roughly 25% for the right to accept Visa and Mastercard overseas. That includes the money that is stolen each year as they withhold payments and ponzi us. A US bank would charge around 5% if they accepted our business but they aren't interested in making money anymore.

Bank of America turned me down today. Reason.....Processing not offered for this business type. Perhaps some day they'll get their heads out of their asses and see that we are selling entertainment....not guns. Until then they will do business with the weapons manufacturers to promote real world violence....while withholding business from an entertainment company that produces a product that prevents violence by relieving stress.

They are too ignorant to know what they are doing and deserve every bit of the trashing that they are getting..... I guess risk meant loaning money to homeowners.....not allowing an adult business to process credit cards.....but how are they supposed to know that? With their limited intelligence they cannot be expected to know.

If anyone knows a banker out there that still has a set of balls please let me know. I'm hoping there is still one left but I haven't found him yet. They were my ideas but without HTML knowledge, I can't really implement too many of them. His role on the site is to help me do updates.

From the very beginning, after the Luvbights swept the Bondage Awards last year, Scribbler considered them a joke and criticized me for wanting to take part in them. I agreed that they had some problems, but bottom line, they are the only type of recognition a site like ours has. I was proud we placed in the Top 10 last year and I wanted to compete again this year. He fought me on that but grudgingly built the display on the site promoting them. And as you see, we did well again this year, winning 9th place. We're due to receive our recognition when the awards are mailed out within a few weeks.

Since YouTied went down last year, Scribbler has graciously donated his webspace for us to host the daily picture. Without his help, we wouldn't have that feature on the site. He's doing his job, helping us out.

But recently, he rejected a number of daily pictures I submitted for the site, for whatever reasons. One had a Nazi theme and he doesn't like Nazis. Out it went. Some were of women in peril at the hands of animals, along the same theme we have now. He must have thought they were too grizzly or whatever, I don't know. They were artworks. Some he allowed, others he refused to upload. You guys won't see them because Scribbler apparently appointed himself the board's censor. He decided if it was his space, he would control the content, and if I didn't like it, then tough. I had no choice. Without him to host the pictures, we wouldn't have the daily picture. I kept the news of Scribbler censoring the site to myself because, frankly, it's no one's business. I didn't want to air my dirty laundry in public.

Cut to last night. We had just scored a major accomplishment, winning an award. Scribbler saw the results, didn't like them, and then posted. Not with congratulations like everyone else has, but with the public announcement that says basically "If you want your award, Ralphus, you're on your own. I'm not helping you. In fact, I'm working against you on this one".

It was past 4 in the morning, I was bone tired and had to get to bed. I read his post and got angry, and sent him an e-mail saying why can't you to be happy for us instead of pissing on our parade? Yeah, I was mad, mad because my friend and partner chose that occasion to diss me and the site, and attempted to make me look like I wanted this because I was some opportunistic fool who wanted the JPEG trophy for myself and not for the site. We are supposed to be in this together, not fighting amongst ourselves over trivial issues. In my opinion, we earned the award and we should have it on the site. Scribbler doesn't think so, and he's refusing to host it.

So yeah, I took off his post and went to bed. I didn't think the forum needed to read that. Dismissing our victory since he doesn't like the awards, especially at that moment, just seemed wrong. Well, I was wrong to censor him, but I didn't think his public declaration was especially conducive toward the best interests of the site. I think we should all be proud of winning, whatever your opinions are of the Bondage Awards. And if Scribbler won't host our award, I'll just have to find someone else who will. We deserve it.

You have a number of options or choices to post and show everyone any pic you want. Here's a few: a) imagevenue and similar, b) your tripod free account space #1, c) your tripod free account space #2, d) open a yahoo group, you can post pics there, e) pay for webhosting with dreamhost or any number of webhosts, like I do and others do. And of course, youTied when it comes back. And possibly someone else will volunteer hotlinkable space. Maybe John at the Bondage Awards.

I've said before that your ideas for handling the daily picture were all unacceptable, and I still feel that way. You disproved your own theory with your Tripod link. Doesn't work. So that's not a solution, is it?

Anyway, I don't want to belabor this point, because it will just be longer reading for the rest of the forum when you repeat every word of this post and respond to each individual sentence with your own interpretation and try to discount every point I make. That gets tedious and really, who has time to read that stuff? I want to read about important things like tied-up women. But for everything else, it's likely that the hosting burden will be lifted off your shoulders, and your conscience won't be bothered if I happen to post a picture of a girl being eaten by a dinosaur because it won't be hosted by your site. There now, doesn't everyone feel better?

The accusations that somehow your site cheated to win the past two years certainly seemed like they may have had some validity amongst casual observers who looked at the results and figured there could be no other explanation. In fact, not to point fingers, but the reason a certain figure here is so against the Bondage Awards is that he refuses to believe that they are on the up and up. He's been pretty vocal that he feels they are a joke, which ultimately is the reason this place was turned upside down the past few days.

And to be honest, I felt the same way he did...until I wrote John at the Bondage Awards last year about my concerns and he posted here with an explanation. When I realized I was wrong, I publicly apologized to you and your wife on the forum last year. You can go in the Guestbook Archives and read it yourself if you want. The comments and wisecracks that preceded the apology were...well, let's just say it wasn't the forum's finest hour.

That being said, in all honesty, I've never met your wife, but I didn't agree with her winning Best Model. Life isn't fair, and it's a combination of youth and beauty are what wins most popular opinion polls. It's great that she placed so high for being almost 50...really, it's a tribute to the loyalty of your fans, but she wouldn't have gotten my vote. The problem is that there are two vehicles being used in tandem. On one hand we have Ralphus' tour bus. Ralphus is the driver of the tour bus and gets to decide on the decor of the bus as well as what's played on the bus. On the other hand, we have Scribbler's cargo van. Scribbler gets to decide what cargo he hauls and what gets played in the van. Ralphus seems to want to change the station in the cargo van, and that's just not right (Scribbler set to annoy the perky Nubian he has tied up in the back -- he borrowed the van from Gary Roberts [*]).

That surprised both of us, and for sure, it's NOT a definite thing at this point. But I'm exploring other options. There might be someone else I can ask. If it's cheap enough, I may have to consider buying my own space. The problem is I've never made a dime running this site and I'm not even close to being well-off financially, so if I have to pay monthly fees, it will be a 100% loss since I'll never charge anyone for this site.

BTW, I got an e-mail today saying that Scribbler and I should kiss and make up on the forum so that everyone knows we're no longer feuding. Well, I ain't gonna kiss him, but yeah, everything is cool between us. Like he said, we are friends...friends who were having a disagreement, and now things are fine. Okay, I've had some time to think about it. I think the reason we've had so few answers on this one is because it's challenging to have to come up with not 1 or 2 names, but 6. That's a lot. I've seen lots of bondage films and bondage scenes, but trying to remember and pick out the best of the lot takes some thinking. But here's my picks for now, until I change my mind and come up with better ones later.

1. Brigitte Bako as the sweet, naive victim. This girl radiated girl-next-door wholesomeness in every film I saw her in, which made it twice as much fun seeing her sexually attacked and abused in such films as Dark Tide and Strange Days. Plus she still needs one more GIMP film to complete her trifecta, so I'll give her my lead role here.

2. Monica Moore as the stuck-up, bitchy victim. Tough call between her and Chandra Sweet, since the latter played a snooty cheerleader to perfection, but I dig Monica since she was always feisty and had that absolutely killer body, and she was a great screamer when being tortured.

3. Melissa Sagemiller as the down to earth victim. Anyone who saw Love Object probably fell in love with her in the first half, then realized how much hotter she became once she was bound, gagged and taken prisoner in the second half.

4. Sasha Grey as the female villain. I don't generally like female villains. I wanted to put Sasha on my victim list, since that's a better place for her. But she was totally convincing dominating Trina Michaels in a Device Bondage shoot I saw and she's fucking hot as hell, so why not?

5. Randa Mai as the silent, methodical male. The guy knows how to dish it out, and even when he's not saying anything, he usually has a big, satisfied smile on his face because he truly loves torturing women. My kind of guy.

6. Bryan Dunhill as the psychotic, out-of-control male villain. Easiest choice of the poll. Another guy who clearly enjoys playing this role, and the funny stuff he says when inflicting pain ("I fucking love this shit!") makes him even more entertaining to watch.

Just trying to discover a bit of GIMP trivia, and was hoping one of you fellow knowledgable sickos might know this.

In the movie "Emanuelle in America" There is a scene where the title character and her man watch this torture flick, and it appears like they are watching something from a South American torture prison.

The scene above give you an idea... this scene is extreme to the extreme! I've always wondered where that footage came from. Was it real? The woman with the bit ripping into her cheeks is pretty convincing, as are several of the tortures.

My thoughts are that this clip came from somewhere else as the make up job is well done... on the other hand this is the same group of folks who brought us "Eaten Alive", so it brings the question.... where the frick did this footage come from?

Yes, especially when they're in "compromising" positions. For example, if I see a hot woman in the office stretching her arms above her head, I picture ropes around her wrists attached to the ceiling. If she stretches her arms behind her back, it's an instant strappado scene for me. They probably think I'm just checking out their tits. Ha! The fools!

Why would a 5'10" supermodel be intimidated by a 5.2" 90 pound weakling? To me the wimp that did the belly punching in the Relic Raider downloads is a great example of this. So here goes.

Picked up a new 46" HDTV over the weekend - after all the preliminaries of ensuring all worked well I thought I'd break this bad boy in right - So I pulled a moldy oldie out of the vault/dungeon - please don't make too much fun of me for this but I hadn't seen it in years and anyone familiar with it will know exactly what I'm talking about - yes, it's that classic from mainstream Turkish cinema, "Tarkan Versus the Vikings" - so here is what you get - Turks bedecked in blonde wigs trying to make them appear Nordic, a slew of Turkish princesses dressed in tattered mix and match pastel colored garb held in bondage by the evil Vikings - I assume the Turks had some type of medieval Target store nearby - a Viking princess chained to a dock to be sacrificed to a gigantic mechanical octopus that would have made schlock director Ed Wood cringe in embarrassment - a climactic Viking orgy scene where the hostages are raped and killed, the highlight having one chick suspended by her ankles over a fire with various Vikings taking turns trying to sever the rope by throwing battle axes at it - they succeed - of course, a few are saved by Tarkan and his mercenary Viking chicks adorned in plastic winged helmets.

A Yahoo group is a different concept than an old-fashioned website like what we have. In a group like that, everybody who ever signed up to check out the group over the years automatically becomes a member, and therefore will continue to get e-mail notices every time there's a post or any new activity. And with 6,700 people all getting e-mails sent to their mailboxes, presumably with a clickable link to the awards website inside, they don't even have to stop by the site at all at any time during the voting period.

On a site like ours, people actually have to log in to the Internet and make a conscious choice to visit on our site every day. I have no idea how many different people have come and gone in our 10 years on the net, but it's most likely in the thousands. We normally average around 900-1000 hits a day, and I'm guessing it's mostly the same regular people everyday. It would be kinda nice to have a way to contact everybody who's ever visited this site and send them e-mails when people post (and especially to be able to tell them to vote for us), but we're just not set up that way.

Our friend BP, who runs the hugely successful Boilerplant group on Googlegroups, suggested on his group that we should switch to a mostly e-mail only type of forum, where you don't have to visit and everything is just automatically mailed to us. It would solve a few problems...no dealing with Dreambook error messages, no restrictions on posting pictures, no newbies who get confused by writing in HTML, and probably more activity because everyone who stopped by here once would automatically be a member for life. Maybe groups are the way to go. A discussion group on an actual website seems so primitive compared to the way people get their fix on the net these days.

On the other hand, ask Hank Hobbs what he thinks of Yahoo. The man's had more groups deleted than I can count. We've lasted 10 years on Dreambook. I seriously doubt a site with content like what we feature here could have survived as long on Yahoo. Googlegroups seems to be less restrictive and not as quick to pull the plug as their competition, but I'm still not sure I trust them. All it would take is one complaint and we could disappear and be gone for good just like that.

I find there are more indepth discussions on this forum and you get a much better sense of the personalities who are posting, quirks and all.

I would recommend sticking with this site and avoiding the Yahoo or Google group route. Having said that, I will support whatever decision is made and will continue to contribute.

Ralphus - without putting too much thought into it which is beyond me anyway, let me echo the sentiments of Liquor, BP and A Canadian - this forum has been in existence in a pretty similar format for 10 years - there is much to be said for staying power - I've rarely found it to be the case that Google or Yahoo groups really promote much in the way of discussion - much like doing business over the phone (rather impersonal and distant like groups) or having a two martini lunch that lasts three hours with your posse (personal and up-close like the forum) - even with that less than 1% of the visitors will EVER make a post.

With that said I will ditto with A Canadian and roll with the flow however it goes.

Ha! Moving to Google or Yahoo would eliminate us from even being eligible for a Bondage Award, the same way your own group isn't eligible (just one of the reasons, anyway). There's no award for Best Group, only Best Website.

It really is true in my opinion that although there are a lot of lurkers here, at least they lurk regularly. Although I don't post as often as I used to, I try to tune in everyday. There is something about this place and being able to stop by each day that is comforting. It has been a ritual just as important as my morning coffee and constitution.

A Canadian: I sure wouldn't put any stock in the condescending mini-review that NOW Magazine posted on that site. Whoever wrote that clearly doesn't "get" the concept of BDSM, as proven by the "thoroughly repulsive" comment and by making note that PD's submissives were much younger than he was. Well, duh. Nearly every female in porn is around the same age (late teens to 20s), and most are likely younger than the producers. Pretty stupid observation.

I would much rather see that film reviewed by one of the many fine reviewers that frequent this forum. I think we would do a better job and give a more balanced view on the film. I'm not a huge Insex fan but I think PD is a genius who has constantly pushed the limits of BDSM. In fact, I would probably be more interested in seeing a factual film about his company and the girls who performed for him than the actual shoots themselves. I think it's a fascinating subject for a documentary. I'm positive, though, I'll have to wait for the DVD because I doubt any theatre will screen the film here where I live.

Alas, Ann gets a wee bit jealous if there's a third involved. But maybe we could work you in and make it a four-way!
