1. Go to the Attackers site (www.attackers.net) and look up any video. On the page for the video, you will see a pink area right under the video description and right above the preview picture thumbnails.

2. Click on the second link in this pink box. This will bring you to the sign up page for their newsletter. Fill in your e-mail address in the first box and again in the second box to confirm it. Click the button under the boxes. (BTW, the third and fourth boxes appear to be for retrieving lost passwords. The fifth box is to unsubscribe your e-mail address, which might come in handy sometime)

3. Attackers will instantly send you an e-mail with a username and password. The e-mail is in Japanese, but you can easily make out the user and password in it, they are written in Western characters. The user is a few characters long and the password is a string of numbers.

4. Go to the video page of any video you want to download a trailer of. In the pink box (the same where we found the link to the sign-up page) you will find a red button to download the trailer. Click it, enter the user and password.

From what I understand, the password is valid for a month and then replaced with a new one in the newsletter you just signed up for. Let's see, I just signed up yesterday!

You can easily search for a video at the site by entering the product code in the search box at the top right corner. The product code can be found on sites that sell these videos to us Westerners, e.g. www.saveonav.com. Or just browse the Attackers site randomly, there are plenty of videos!

Amazing how here in the United States, companies like Forbidden Video try to push the envelope and end up being forced out of business by our government, while in Japan they are constantly dishing out the brutal abuse with every release, and they continue to thrive. Japan and the US are like night and day anymore. Thank God there's at least one country were bondage videos are produced with little or no censorship (fuzzed out genitals notwithstanding).

On a possibly related note, I responded to one of those emails that saveonav.com sends its customers, asking how saveonav.com can improve its website.

I recommended that the site should have a section for "requests," that allows people to submit ideas about movies they would like to see offered. I received a reply saying a "request" option should be available in about a month.

We'll see if it happens. And if it does, whether the requests actually influence the selection. But I thought it doesn't hurt to try.

Also there's a 'Descriptions, Comments or Questions' box at the bottom of the voting page. Might be a good idea to post some comments there about why BOTG is a value to the bondage community, especially the girl's in bondage video buying community.

Really, I'm at a total loss as to why BOTG didn't make the Best Free Website list, especially since my free site 'Scribbler's Daring Heroines' did. Makes no sense...BOTG should be on that list too, even more so.

Dan Hawke didn't make the first-choice cut in at least one of his categories.

But -- on the plus side -- Lisa Kinkaid, Natalie Avital and Jessica Alba all did make the first-round picks. I'm still rooting for Natalie in the best DID category, although I won't be heartbroken if Jessica Alba wins.

As for best bondage model, most of Lisa's so-called competition should be happy to get a Miss Congeniality consolation prize.

I also have a new pick for my second choice for bondage model -- Sayaka Miura, from the Japanese movie, Shark 231. Technically, her scenes were more about rape and abuse than "pure" bondage, but she was handcuffed at some points in the movie. So I say she counts.

Similar to the direct-mail campaigns that fundraisers use, we send an email to as many people as possible, highlighting the benefits of the Bring out the Gimp site and providing a link that takes people to the voting.

I sometimes do some of this kind of stuff in my day job, so I would be happy to write the email. The challenge is putting together the email list of people to send to.

Anyway, something to think about.

I, too, was surprised to not find our site listed as a nominee for "Best Free Website", since according to the rules, all that was needed to qualify was a mere 10 votes. I did a quick count and saw that 7 people posted here announcing they had voted: A Canadian, zee-ef-ex, DM, mothbrad, Falstaff, ZFX Forever, and Vince. I know Scribbler and I did. That's 9. And I'm friends online with a couple GIMPers and they also confirmed they voted, so that's a minimum of 11 votes right there.

So why aren't we there? I hate to say it, but we were banned, censored, if you will. We're too hard for the Signys.

Actually, after I read Scribbler's post this morning, I thought something kinda fishy was going on with these awards. I was sure that Natalie Avital made the list because of the GIMPers' votes. Same thing for Lisa Kinkaid. Assuming the same people who voted for Natalie and Lisa also voted for Bring out the GIMP and for Ralphus, it didn't make sense to me why we were successful in some categories and not in others. Now we know.

I made a text page of the Signy lists (see URL above) to make them easier to look through. Also was curious of the count per category. Please (everyone) look through the categories and see if there are any others equivalent or nearly in "meanness" to our forum!

Note there are 243 model names. If we push Lisa through to Round 3, which last year included the top 20 per category, that would be a good showing for us I think. Don't think she's ever been nominated before.

I don't know that I care all that much about the Signies, it's just that I'm annoyed that BOTG doesn't even get to participate due to some arbitrary exclusion. If Cinemagic and BoundandDelivered (Dan Hawke and Dave Darke DVD/video distributors) are eligible, then so should be BOTG. And I'm sure there are other harsh sites in there, but I know so few of them. I do know that Wizard's Lair had some very harsh Angleman photofakes last year, and they won last year. They don't have anything harsh up this year cause they took all that stuff down admidst the fear of 2257 law.

The above link leads to some samples of a very busty blonde getting some abuse from Sadoslaves (which also didn't make the Signy's list).

More observations, just looking at the nominees...BondoCleave (BC), my favorite bondage manipulator, did indeed get nominated. He doesn't have any connection to this site; I just like his work.

And getting back to more of the Signy's censorship, it is indeed interesting that ZFX is nowhere to be found. And for Best Comic Artist, the huge notable exception to the list of nominees is Gary Roberts. You're not going to tell me he didn't get 10 votes! Most likely, he was banned, just like we were.

I think Mothbrad is right. We should be proud we got excluded. Being too rough to be nominated for a Signy Award is a badge of honor. Dan Hawke, ZFX, Gary Roberts...those guys are great because they're extreme. I'm proud of who we are and what we represent. It was a parody of the Wonder Woman comic book and was drawn by Will Elder. I have attached a link in my url to the only drawing I could find from this parody.

If I remember correctly, Woman Wonder gets physically roughed up in various ways by the ultimate villain -- who turns out to be her boss in disguise (he was upset because he felt a woman's place should be in the kitchen. Hey, it was the '50s). The drawings included Woman Wonder's invisible plane crashing on top of her, followed by a drawing of her skin all cut up by shards of glass. I'm pretty sure there were also illustrations of Woman Wonder tied up by her own rope, etc.

The old Mad drawings often tend to get reprinted. For example, amazon.com says it has a book called "Mad About Super Heroes" that includes the Woman Wonder parody.

As for TV heroes, I always preferred the Bionic Woman.

Cheryl Ladd was a close second. I must have had a thing for blondes back then.

Although Lynda Carter was attractive, she never quite clicked for me. Same thing for Catherine Bach.

Certainly there has to be a crossover as far as bondage lovers also being into comic books; heck, you know the Rickmeister has to be one himself, since he did that whole series of Ballista movies featuring Lisa as an ersatz version of WW. I was surprised how much I enjoyed those Ballista films since the whole genre doesn't really excite me much. I never saw either Spider-Man, nor the last several Batmans, X-Men, Tomb Raider, Hulk, Blade, Catwoman, etc. Not even Fantastic Four with my girlfriend Jessica Alba. I'm much more into violent realism than seeing a girl wearing a mask and a cape attacked by an alien creatures.

Maybe some of you can post and say what it is about this sci-fi/fantasy/comic book genre that appeals to you. Is it more exciting to see a super-heroine taken down and attacked, or do you prefer more of the realism of seeing an ordinary girl as the victim? I also think your mixing and matching your question a bit when you say "attacked by an alien creatures." The alien creature thing isn't necessarily tied exclusively to Superheroines, and I would say is a whole different category that can include both real women or Superheroines. That's what the Galaxy of Terror site is all about. So I'll address monsters first.

I think the allure there is to watch a creature who has the ability to COMPLETELY immobilize a woman, real or Superheroine, and then be able to pull off maneuvers and enjoy her body in ways humans cant. For example, multiple dicks, or tentacles that bind her wrists and feet, enwrap the woman's big beautiful breast, grope freely all over her body, and enter all orifices, all at the same time. These aren't just inanimate ropes that are binding her gorgeous body, but extensions of the creature that are actually enjoying every inch they are covering at once. Since sex is mostly mental, I find that to be a very fun fantasy to let myself get into when it is either drawn or animated well. Once again though, the creature fantasy to me really has nothing to do with the woman being a Superheroine or not, just that its a hot chick who is completely at the mercy of the beast that is boning her silly and doing what ever the hell it wants to her.

For the Superheroine fantasy, I feel the allure is a super hot woman who can take MUCH more sexual punishment that a real woman could. For instance, the now defunct ButterScotch Fox Poll Driven Comic that DanO used to do over at Superheroinecentral.com. The wicked tortures he put his characters through were just incredibly exiting to me. I mean he would get absolutely brutal with whips, machines, and monsters in ways that any normal woman would be dead by in mere seconds, but his Superhot Superheroines took all that punishment and kept bouncing back from it. Very fun stuff.

For the most part, Superheroines have to be drawn for me, because when they have real women who dress up and pretend, I usually think it comes off as kind of silly. When they finally get down ripping her spandex suit off, if the chick is hot, you kind of forget that she's supposed to be a Superheroine anyhow, and just get off on how hot she is. But the overlapping theme here is that even for the real women in spandex versions, it all comes down to a super hot chick being overpowered, manhandled, and raped, and how could you not LOVE that?!?

Finally, sort of off topic, but you must be crazy not watching Batman Begins. Comic book movie or not, if your a fan of good cinema at all you owe it to yourself to watch that flick! Awesome movie. It's a complete re-imagining of the franchise that has nothing to do with any of the hockey movies that came before it. It's played as real as it possibly could be.

P.S. Canadian, don't take this the wrong way, but to me comparing Linda Carter to Lindsey Wagner is almost blasphemy. Linda had that beautiful face with the jet black hair and a body so god dam hot it literally looked like it was ripped right from a well drawn comic book, while Lindsey had a moderately cute face, and has always had flap jacks for breasts. Well, I was able to donate to my favorite, well-deserving charity recently (porn), so here are some mini-reviews. I wanted to financially support Max Hardcore (given that he is the subject of a so-called obscenity prosecution right now) but all his stuff had been wiped from the shelves at my local porn store. I guess that chilling effect is all too real.

Saw "Sent for Training" by www.archw.com. It started off with an interesting and risky premise. A woman is dropped off in a suburban residential neighborhood wearing handcuffs and leg cuffs/chain. She is looking for a particular address where she is supposed to receive disciplinary training, but the driver accidentally(?) let her off two blocks away. It was fun seeing her walking in this oh-so-normal suburban environment in the broad daylight past all the Texas houses wearing her cuffs.

Unfortunately, the rest of the movie was lackluster. I didn't think the model was that hot, and the bondage/struggling scenes were nothing special. The only thing worth remarking on is the previews on the DVD. This group seems to have secured the talents of some very pretty and young bondage models - see the link above to a still from "The Prisoner" for example. So, I will be looking for other samples of their work. I can tolerate a lot of negatives in a bondage flik (such as just watching a squirming bound girl with no real action) if the girl is super cute and young.

Also saw some lousy mainstream fliks. Skeeter Kerkov's movies are usually good, but "Anal Supremacy 3" was pretty boring.

California College Student Bodies is a series which is hit and miss. Sometimes you will find a good amateur scene with a cute girl and good chemistry. I remember one where a pretty and really innocent looking girl is bent over a coffee table by her boyfriend and her ass is pretty relentlessly finger-probed by the guy while she squirms and moans invitingly. But ... I just saw Volume # 43, and there was nothing special about it at all.

Finally, I grabbed a GGG film. Man was I disappointed. I'm going to stop getting these GGG films, it seems to me like they are going increasingly downhill. I saw "And I Swallowed Everything." What a rip! Boring, badly filmed, short, really disjointed. Worst of all however was it had a "female" co-star to the main "star" who while this was not mentioned was OBVIOUSLY a post-surgery dude. YMMV, but this is a real turnoff for me. And no question it was a former guy - yah, German women may be steroidedly masculine-looking sometimes, but this was a guy for real, no questions about it. Yuk.

Next, for the good stuff.

And... I saw my first Dan Hawke films ever! This guy is great. I didn't care much for DH50 "Brianna's Bondage Bash," mainly just because I didn't find the model that attractive. (Also, it seemed like Dan might have held back a bit in the way he treated her).

But DH 53 ("Training Trinity") and DH54 ("Bound Goth Babe") were both excellent. The girls were hot. I liked the Goth babe's body better, but Tammy's cute pig tail look helped her scenes, too. And I liked the resistance the girls put up and their struggling, especially the beginnings where the girls had to be persuaded to cooperate. ("No, I'm not going to take off my blue jeans, let me outta here!" THWACK!! "Okay, okay, I'll take them off!" :)

Finally, I liked the great tight bondage positions, and especially the over the top candle wax treatment of the Goth babe. I wouldn't recommend DH50, but I would definitely recommend DH53 or DH54.

Ralphus-mania in Canada: Here's an update on my recent post about the display that's up in Toronto's largest music/DVD store, promoting movies that were once banned in Canada. As I mentioned in my last post, one of the movies that was featured prominently in this display was Bloodsucking Freaks.

Anyway, the display is still up, but the part of the rack that had copies of Bloodsucking Freaks is now empty. It looks like those copies of the movie have been sold (the movie is still available elsewhere in the store).

As Martha Stewart might say, this is a good thing.

If the girl is hot and the bondage scene done well, then I like it. I don't think I have a real in-depth answer; I like what I like, but it isn't always the easiest thing to describe.

Some of the first hot women bodies I saw were in comic books. Superheroines tend to wear figure tight costumes and were definitely turn-ons (even back when I didn't know what that was). Panels they appeared in showing their hot bodies were among the best panels in the book. And when they were in peril, fighting, or better yet knocked out, defeated, and then in bondage...an even bigger turn on. And it all just snowballed from there. Then I discovered HOM bondage mags in high school, and sought out more and more of those adult 'comic books' over the years, but I digress.

The saying "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" kind of applies as in "The more powerful, hard-to-defeat the heroine, the greater the humiliation when they do lose." But that's only for those who like high melodrama with their bondage. And like knowing something about the characters in their fantasies, cause superheroines always have backstory as in they've defeated many villains in the past, villains like the one who now has her tied up and in deep trouble.

It's not that I can't be turned on by fantasies involving a generic hot girl, but knowing something about the characters enhances it for me. Title: Shark 238 (Raped In Front of Husband)

This movie -- about a criminal who terrorizes a picture-perfect, happily married couple -- is mostly a flop. Many of the scenes aren't convincing and are actually kind of dull.

However, the movie does contain a few select scenes that are outstanding. It is for those rare triumphs that Shark 238 merits a written review.

Actually, I liked the movie's concept. A criminal in black garb sneaks into the apartment of a happy couple and turns their pollyanna world upsidedown, with an onslaught of terror that includes some scenes of bondage and numerous rapes of the young wife, including an anal rape. Even better (in theory), her captive husband is forced to watch some of the rapes.

I also liked Kana Mochizuki, the actress who plays the trophy wife. Kana is very pretty. In some of her early scenes, she's wearing a pink top, a white summer dress, a white apron, and pink slippers, and looks so wholesome she makes Snow White seem kinda skanky by comparison (check the trailer on the Attackers website). Kana also has a great set of tits.

Although the villain sneaks into the apartment first thing in the morning, the real action in the movie doesn't come until the end of that same day, when the husband comes home from work. The knife-wielding criminal, who has been threatening the woman all day, decides to hide from the husband -- only the petrified wife knows the fiend is in the apartment.

As the husband sits in the living room reading his newspaper and drinking his beer, the villain decides to take advantage of Kana in the nearby kitchen. Presumably terrified that she and/or her husband could be killed by this criminal, Kana gives in to his demands.

The villain begins feeling up Kana, who is fully dressed, and then pulls her big tits out of her top and starts playing with her nipples. As a trembling Kana whimpers, the villain fondles her tits and quietly whispers what I assume were violent threats in her ear.

Always conscious of her nearby husband, Kana leans over the kitchen counter and attempts to prepare sardines for him. But as she's doing this, the villain lifts her dress, pulls down her panties and fingers her pussy. Kana appears to be quietly pleading for him to stop, but the digit play continues.

There is a brief pause in the action, as Kana pulls up her panties and nylons, straightens her dress, and goes into the living room to attend to her husband. With a perfect poker face, she acts like the dutiful wife, happy just to keep him happy.

But Kana must soon make her slow return to the kitchen -- to placate the villain and receive further violations.

Once back in the kitchen, Kana is forced to get down on her knees and suck the criminal. The villain then has Kana stand up and bend over the kitchen counter in the doggie position. He lifts her dress again, yanks down her nylons and panties, and then proceeds to finger her, lick her pussy, and then fuck her doggie style, drilling her pretty hard for the most part.

Kana looks spectacular here. Not wanting to alert her husband in the nearby living room, the quivering Kana pretty much collapses to her knees in ecstacy while she is being fingered. At the point where she is getting fucked, she purrs some soft whimpers and moans, while the villain pounds away and continues to verbally threaten her.

At one point, her husband calls out to her from the next room, and she answers in a sweet little voice, even as the criminal is still inside her and feeling her up.

It's a great scene ... if only the rest of the movie had been like this.

This movie has other sex scenes, but they're not convincing as rape scenes. They're OK as vanilla sex scenes, I suppose, if that's what you want.

There is a decent amount of bondage here -- Kana is tied up in four different scenes -- and one particular sequence stands out. It occurs the next day, when the husband has gone back to work. The villain comes out of hiding again and, with the help of a friend that he has called over to the apartment, they terrorize Kana in what I think was a basement area.

Leather straps are used to bind her hands together, and she is tied arms over head to the roof. Kana is wearing a pretty, pink negligee and matching panties. The villains gag her mouth using one of her nylons, and then rip open the negligee. The new criminal on the scene sucks on her tits and plays with her pussy. They then abuse Kana with different-sized vibrators.

Other scenes include Kana being bound in different ways, and there is one instance where she is wearing a dog collar and chain and is pulled along the floor on all fours to a nearby mattress and a waiting rapist. I liked one part where she is pulled by the chain up to the guy's butt, and forced to lick his ass.

The final half hour of the movie has the villain and two friends (a third guy has been called in) raping Kana in her bedroom, including an anal assault, while her near-naked husband is bound to a nearby chair and forced to watch the action. It sounds good, but these final scenes all look pretty staged, and Kana is never constrained in any way. Simply put, the whole thing falls flat.

Overall assessment: lightly recommended. Bondage fans will probably like some of the stuff here. And the scenes where Kana is violated in the kitchen are excellent. It's just too bad the rest of this movie was so lame.

The one thing I was surprised to learn about him from the book is that he shared a studio in the early 60's with comic book artist Steve Ditko, and he even claimed to have helped Ditko out with his Spider-Man pages when deadlines loomed. I always thought Stanton would've made a fine mainstream comic book artist, but his fascination with b&d themes apparently was so overwhelming that he was never inclined to give it a shot.

At any rate, it comes as no surprise to me. Lovers of our kind of entertainment have known for years that we would be among the first targets for obscenity cases. After all, the feds try to go after what they consider the easiest and most obvious cases that they think they can win. S&M only appeals to a small percentage of adults who view porn, which in turn is an even smaller percentage of the actual population of adults period. It's unlikely they could win many cases with a vanilla screw movie, so they go after something most Americans probably consider repugnant, like Extreme Associates simulated rape and snuff or something like ZFX's simulated torture/rape scenarios.

And I do see the bitter irony of your statement. The man who sanctions actual torture wants to make fictional depictions of it illegal. What a fine example of the type of hypocrisy this government thrusts upon its citizens on a daily basis.

Let's go onto another subject before I have to step on my soapbox and start politicizing again.

A Canadian: Thanks for another nice review. Sounds like this Shark movie had more bondage than some of the ones I've seen from them. Too bad she wasn't tied up in that kitchen scene you mentioned. I'm pretty picky choosing Shark titles because not all of them have bondage and rape combined.

My feelings about Japanese BDSM videos--Mixed. Some of the very best BDSM I have ever seen has been on Japanese videos. I have a couple I got in trades, and I really liked them. I have very few, because I can't find a good source. I know Video Mayhem has a lot, but without seeing any photo stills, I have no idea which vids I'd like. First, I find many of the Japanese stars to be total heartbreakers. Many have pretty faces and nice bodies -- often quite thin -- and their beauty is a natural beauty.

Unlike today's American porn stars, many Japanese stars actually have some bush, and most have natural tits, big or small. Unlike the women who often appear in American bondage movies, most of the Japanese stars that I have seen don't have tattoos, or if they do have them, they are small and discreet.

Second, I think the Japanese do a better job in the overall humiliation and degradation of the victim. It's not uncommon in a Japanese movie to see a scene where the victim is forced to strip her clothes off for a waiting crowd of rapists. Usually, she is forced to strip because of some sort of threat of violence, or blackmail.

These scenes of humiliation often add to the erotic intensity of the movie.

The movie A Beast Legend, which I recently reviewed, is a perfect example. In one of the movie's better scenes, cute little Miyuki Hourai, a teacher, is forced to get up on a chair at the front of the classroom and do a striptease for a class of young, horny men. Her stripping scene is a slow, reluctant affair, and it really works. Actually, her stripping scene is better than the gang rape that follows, in my view. (By the way, I have attached a photo of Miyuki Hourai in my url).

In American porn, the only comparable scenes of humiliation are the ZFX scenes where Rick Masters appears as an actor. Often, the verbal abuse he gives his victims is as good as the accompanying rape or torture.

So, I think there is much to celebrate in Japanese porn, including the often-excellent photography and other strengths already mentioned. Is the pixellation of the private parts a problem? Not really. Sure, I'd be happier without it, but I don't find it any more distracting than the ZFX scenes where rubber dildos are used in place of actual penises.

For the official record, my vote on Japanese porn is: yay.

Among the things I like with them: Usually very beautiful girls. Very few, if any, girls with tattoos and piercings. The production quality is usually very high and the performers put a lot of effort into their work, which gives a very realistic touch.

Negative things: A weird obsession with enemas and scat, which always triggers the FF button if I'm to watch... Sometimes too elaborate bondage. I really admire the skill of the Japanese rope artists, but I want the rope work to serve a purpose, just wrapping a girl in it for no other reason than using up all the rope in the room is not my style. Language is a problem too, the Japanese videos usually have a plot and it's annoying not to know what is happening between the BDSM scenes.

To add up: I like Japanese videos, they offer high quality and are well performed.

This one features most the elements I like with the Japanese videos. A couple of gangsters forces a male school teacher to drug two school girls so that they can abduct them (for some unknown reason, it appears that the main gangster has some grudge with the girls, but it's hard to tell since I don't understand the language). All girls are put through serious whippings, wax treatment and needles through their nipples. The style is very rough with lots of hair pulling, face slapping, humiliation and generally rough treatment. The girls play this part very well and they look genuinely terrified throughout. All in all, a very good DVD if you like rough, non-consensual BDSM action.

That was my introduction to Japanese bondage and I have been a fan ever since. My vote is I love it--plot be damned. Just hang em and whip em.

In comparison, films from other countries have to keep their eye on censorship laws and so may come near to hitting that spot, but not quite, which is very frustrating.

Of course we're not allowed to get exactly what we want so someone had to introduce pixellation to annoy us. It's mostly tolerable but obviously the films are preferable without this.

As has been mentioned the girls are often stunning and acting, production and scenarios superb. However, I still prefer the more voluptious western women.

Just a few quick comments on Japanese bondage. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the ropework that's involved but I have issues with the gags!

Being a fan of asphyxiation, I like the over the mouth and nose gags, but the gags don't look effective enough for my tastes.

Even when the girls gagged with a cleavegag or tapegag, they don't really ever look tight enough to be effective! Does anyone else feel the way I do?

It all depends on what company puts out the movie, of course, but I've seen a few Japanese vids where the bad guy makes sure the girl is gagged but good. One particular one I recall he has her tied up, and he slowly removes her gag, starting with what looks like an over-the-mouth gag. But once that's removed, you see that she has several tight strips of black tape over her mouth. Then once all the strips are pulled off, he opens her mouth and starts pulling out several swatches of cloth from inside her mouth, one by one. You think he should be done, but he keeps pulling out more cloth. It takes him 5 whole minutes to get rid of everything from inside and around her mouth!

I agree with cleave gags not being especially effective, but that's the case with virtually every bondage company, and certainly not exclusive to the Japanese. Tape with mouth packing is the most effective gag around. Ballgags are up there, too, plus I really like the look of both ballgags and tapegags on a girl's face. I see a lot of cleaves and ballgags in the Japanese movies I see, not as much tape, which seems to be a more Western custom. In that respect, I think US might have a slight advantage over the Japanese. But that would probably be the only thing we might do better. In every other aspect of their movies...plots, women, effective bondage, scenes of realistic rape and inventive tortures, the Japanese have us beat.

My opinion, anyway. Who wants to challenge it?

It is only recently that I have begun to delve more deeply into Japanese BDSM videos, and that was spurred by some of the postings and reviews I read here. I particularly like Cinemagic and Attackers, since some of their productions remind me of those old HOM videos we all love so much.

That scene alone would make me say "yay" to Japanese bondage videos. And I have seen many other scenes in other Japanese BDSM videos that would only make me say "yay" even louder.

I just checked the finalists for the Signy awards, and it looks like Lisa Kinkaid didn't make the cut. While I suppose it's possible that Lisa didn't receive enough votes, I am once again suspicious that this is actually a case of Lisa being blackballed because of the type of movies she stars in.

Ralphus also didn't make the cut in the writer's category. As well, write-in vote Sayaka Miura didn't make it in the best model category -- although that's less surprising, since it's quite likely I'm the only one who voted for her.

Just for the heck of it, I checked out the multimedia.erotica.japanese newsgroup. Looked at some of the jpg samples, screen shots from the movies. A number of them were uncensored (all vanilla sex tho). Maybe it'll start a trend.

Bondage Payback with Chesty (http://www.archw.com/bondagedvd/bondage_payback.htm): A loose plot - she squealed on her sister causing her sister to go to jail, so to repent she agrees to have her sister's boyfriend keep her in bondage for a day. Tied in various positions - nothing really special. But I like two things about this DVD, first, that she talks to the camera (the unseen boyfriend) about her bondage. Example, she's tied up, man's hand comes into view holding ballgag. She says something like, "Oh, I guess you're going to gag me now, huh? Oh well, I guess I deserve it." YMMV but I find it sexy when girls talk about sex or bondage. I wish she'd talked even more, about how helpless she felt.

The other good thing about this one is the girl is very young and cute. So much bondage on the Net has older women, or women who are not that attractive or innocent looking. For me, a really cute teenish girl in real bondage will make a DVD worthwhile, even if the DVD is otherwise not that special. A B+.

Little White Slave Girls 10: A mainstream film, with no bondage. However, the girls are very young and hot, and submissiveness abounds. They are constantly saying "Yes Master" and submitting to hard-core sex. Another B+

Then there are disjointed other portions of the movie which seem to have been slapped on to the end of this one to make it fill a full disk.

Even though the DVD as a whole was disjointed and the bondage wasn't anything too special, for the hot girls and crisp filming I give this an A. I could watch those girls again and again...

Knockout Bondage 12 (http://www.antonvideo.com/tank/k537/): Okay, you know the theme here... Once again, the bondage is nothing special, but the girls are really young and cute, I like the whole knockout scenario, and it is nicely filmed. Another B+.

Abductors, and Interrogation (Passive Arts): Some of you here might like the more brutal nature of these two different movies (cigarette burns, bleeding, torture) but that is not my thing, I prefer sexual, attractive dominance. The girls in these two films are not lookers, and the filming was poor. I have no desire to see these movies ever again. A D for each.

To me, being "mean" is the whole purpose behind bondage in the first place. I realize that the point of view behind this site is not shared by a large percentage of people who are into bondage. Take, for example, the people who read Brian's Page (an excellent site, BTW, and deservedly Signy-nominated). Even though our forum pages are practically clones of each other (in fact, he started on Dreambook, just like we are), his content is totally the opposite of ours. His site is strictly for mainstream movies and TV only. Commercial videos are not included there. We are sort of the opposite of Brian's Page in terms of content because we talk about extreme bondage that includes sex and violence. And by far, Brian's mainstream site regularly beats the heck out of ours in terms of number of hits and postings. I've read comments on that board that mention how a particular scene would have been good "if only he hadn't hurt her" or "it was ruined for me because she got raped". It seems that the main criteria of a good scene by a Brian's Pager is that the woman gets gagged. That's it. Tied and gagged and no harm befalls her.

Don't get me wrong. I love seeing women in bondage, and especially put in a dangerous situation. I'm a Brian's Pager myself. I just rented two ZFX movies, Seed and Robopimp. I haven't watched either movie yet, but this post isn't about the content. Rather, it's about the discs themselves.

Both movies are on regular DVD discs. This surprises me, as any ZFX movies I have rented or purchased in the past -- from sources such as cduniverse.com, among others -- have always been on DVD-R discs. Either cduniverse.com has been selling pirated copies (doubtful, I would think) or the quality of the discs that ZFX is producing has improved.

This looks like a positive development to me.

On a related note, I was taking another look at the Lisa Kinkaid photos that Ralphus attached in his posting on January 5, 2004. Those are great photos. I sure hope those scenes are released on DVD in 2006 (whether they make up a full movie or not), and that I am able to find a copy of that DVD when it is released.

Dan Hawke movies are getting tougher to find in my area -- even the one with the Canadian actress, Shay Sights. However, I will definitely try to find DH54.

I hate to be a spoilsport, but I am pretty disappointed in the recent DVD versions I have seen of Rick's movies. I rented Seed and damn, can't remember the name of the other one, the one where Alison Parish and the other girls are hooked on a drug and Alison is tied on the bed with a strobe light and another girl is sucking a dripping plastic cock tied to the towel holder in a motel bathroom and the other girl is tied with clothespins everywhere, even on her mouth's lips (I always LOVED that scene).

I liked both of these movies when I saw them on video. On DVD, something is lost, I'm not certain why.

One problem is endemic to analog movies being transferred to a digital medium. I have transfered some home movies to DVD myself, and they don't look as crisp as one would like.

Another problem is the flaws from the originals are retained in the DVDs (and perhaps magnified?) I remember discussion here or on another board quite a few years ago about how some of Rick's videos had this annoying yellow tint to them, seemed like really bad lighting. An apologist or two (maybe Rick himself? I can't remember) noted at the time it wasn't Rick's fault, that somone further down the line in the process of transfering the movies to mass-produced videotapes had imposed the yellow tint through poor video transfer or something. (Don't ask me, I'm no video tekkie).

But maybe the worst problem is this -- once you go digital, you don't really want to go back. Kind of like the Golden Age porn films from the 1970s or 1980s, you might have fond mmories of them, but once you actually SEE some of them that you used to like, you realize the girls today are prettier and the production values today are better and the Golden Age wasn't as golden as you remembered.

I think I have simply been spoiled by digital. I like bright lights and crisp pictures that look equally as good on a computer screen or a TV screen.

Given that I sadly will not be buying Seed or the other flik on DVD, it makes me wonder - is Rick wasting his time (financially) spending all of this time getting his old movies digitized? Maybe it would be better if he let his fans digitize their own copies if they want to, and if he concentrated instead on putting out new product made straight for DVD in the first place.

Just a thought. What does anyone else think, hmm?

I'm not sure how many people got to see that clip, since RapidShare pretty much sucks for a lot of people as far as being able to download stuff off it. A lot of Yahoo groups I belong to put files on RapidShare and I would say I was successful about once every 50 tries in attempting to use it.

Rather than keep missing out, I finally gave up the other day and bought a Premium account. One year, less than 8 bucks a month. If you look at it that way, it's pocket change. And I've been able to grab everything from here on with no problems. It's been great. I didn't like having to pay, but I hated even more missing all that cool stuff that people were posting.

The other movie you were referring to was Future Shock, which I mentioned recently on this board (along with Seed, incidentally). I haven't seen the DVD versions yet, but I did go back and look at my Future Shock VHS highlights before I posted about them. They were (naturally) fuzzier than what I like to see, and I've gotten accustomed to the sharpness of DVD myself. I don't know what method Rick is using to convert his titles, but I'm assuming he's going back to the video masters to make his DVDs. Otherwise, what would be taking so long? If he were to simply just burn his VHS library on DVD, it wouldn't be taking years like it is now. I suppose it's asking too much for him to post and say what process he's using, but I can try anyway. Rick?

I think Rick had the presence of mind early on to realize that DVD is the wave of the future and that VHS will eventually go the way of the 8-track. He's very wisely converting all his old treasures to make them sellable for new generations. If he left them only in the VHS format, chances are his sales would plummet. I'd be willing to bet that hardly anybody wants to buy a title in VHS just so they can transfer it themselves. I'm assuming his new DVD versions would be better quality than what you would get if you tried to digitize it yourself. At least, I'm assuming that's the whole idea behind Rick taking all this time to remaster his body of work. Otherwise, you're right, that would be a waste of time.

This is why I think it's touchy: My theory is that sometime within the last two to three years, Lisa Kinkaid retired from the business. If I'm right, this news would certainly have been devastating to Rick Masters.

While other ZFX greats have retired over the years -- Victoria Vixxen, Chandra Sweet, etc. -- nothing could compare with a loss of this magnitude. In fact, it may have zapped Rick of his creative strength. Without his muse to inspire him, his glory days may be over.

If this is the case, then there's not much left for ZFX to do except to keep releasing the backlog of existing movies.

I agree with you about the quality of some of those movies. Some of them suffer from poor lighting and a kind of grainy look. Indeed, the high quality of DVD may actually be amplifying the problems in some cases, rather than improving the situation. Certainly, the look of some of the movies don't fare too well when compared with the high production values in many Japanese releases.

But I suspect there may still be some great scenes to be found -- particularly for people like me, who never saw the movies in VHS. For example, I also rented Seed the other night, and while I thought that movie was OK, I was more interested in the trailer for a movie called Voodoo Dolls 2.

I believe there is an audience for the ZFX collection, and if Rick's creative spark is gone, those older movies may be all we have left.

It's more likely that Lisa just got too damned old for the business. She has to be in her 30s by now and how long can he expect her to keep on doing videos for him? Hell, most chicks don't last past their early 20s in porno.

Rick is probably too old to be much interested in doing new stuff except planning for his retirement. Nobody is going to care that much about sex anyway once they reach middle age.

You know he won't deny he's lost it creatively because 1) he knows its true and 2) even if it weren't true, he wouldn't come here and say otherwise because he doesn't give a shit about his fans except for making money off them.

Check it out if you're interested. Hopefully they'll put out more bondage-related movies.

All I can discern by your last paragraph is that you're trying to incite Rick in some way to come post to the board to challenge your statement. He's really too smart to fall for that. Yes, we would all like to see Rick posting here, but if he doesn't have anything to say, I don't think he's going to show up just to shoot the shit. As to your other two points...

Actually, SHKD-215 was a bit disappointing in one respect. One of the actresses -- Ruri Shiratori, the woman on the right in the cover photo (see my URL link) -- is pretty hot. She's also a very convincing rape victim. Unfortunately, when they stripped her clothes off, it was discovered that she has this big tattoo on her inner left leg.

That just spelled "porn star" to me and her scenes were ruined. (Heavy sigh...)

I know I must sound like a broken record about this, but what is it women love about tattoos? Don't they realize how much it mars their beauty? God did a great job on making a woman's body without these "enhancements". Last time we polled the board about tattoos, it was near unanimous among GIMPers that we just don't like to see them in our bondage movies.

One perfect example is the bondage model known as "Seven". She's done work for Dave Darke, Insex and other bondage producers. Now this is another girl who is really beautiful in my eyes...blonde hair, cute face, natural tits, great body....I mean, look at that face.

She looks like Jennie Garth, circa 90210. She's the prototypical girl-next-door. I would pay big bucks to see her tied up and abused in every single movie she was in.

Except look down and see what she did to herself. Covered with tattoos, on both legs, the small of her back and an enormous one on the side of her body.

And suddenly I have no desire to see her in anything at all. In fact, I've only seen her perform in one film, and I don't care to watch her again. She might very well be a great bondage actress, but she totally lost her appeal to me. When I see that giant tat, my whole image of her is blown, and to me that's a fatal move if you're playing a bondage victim. Like A Canadian noted, the whole thing spells "porn star", or someone who is into the S&M "scene", which is contrary to the type of girl I would get excited about being placed in bondage. I mean, if she willingly submits to the pain of having a huge section of her skin tattooed then she's not going to be a bit bothered by being bound and whipped. Heck, she probably enjoys the abuse. That's no fun for me.

Still, some people -- myself included -- would say that the best Japanese movies are in a class of their own.

Most of the award winners are people I don't recognize, but my guess is there isn't much reason for GIMPers to celebrate. Jessica Alba did win in the best DID category, so I guess that's something. But that's about it.

Natalie Avital, my personal fave for Best Damsel In Distress, finished 15th, but the one bright spot was that my girlfriend Jessica Alba was the winner, so it wasn't a total loss. If Natalie couldn't win, Jessica is a good choice. Plus she's into bondage (and midgets, too, since she's with me).

My overall impression is that the Signy's are a good idea, but their arbitrary exclusion of content that they consider "too mean" eliminated quite a few worthy individuals and sites, including this forum. Maybe someday someone will come up with bondage awards that don't censor content and eliminate people simply because they don't like what they represent. Until then, we'll just keep on keeping on, and celebrating the extreme side of girls in merciless peril. I'm proud of what we have right here.

50,000? Highly unlikely...probably more like 5000. But they can say what they want, who's gonna verify that claim.

Of course, it does say 50,000 votes, not 50,000 voters, doesn't it. If you divide 50,000 by the 3 rounds of voting, and then by the fact that voters don't have to vote for all categories of each round at one time, say a lot of them do it multiple times (I going to guesstimate 2 times average per round), so 6 valid votings, 50,000 becomes 8,333. Sneaky, aren't they.

And then add to this the possibility that some are voting multiple times because they know how to change their IP address to fool Signy validating that they're different voters. (When I had dial-up, I'm pretty sure I got a different IP assigned to me everytime I called in.) And of course, some people are voting at least 2 places, from home and at work (2 different IP addresses).

Anyway, it's been amusing. Now back to being "too mean" Gimpers!

Elaine Peyton in an early scene of SOB 7 is about as good as it gets!

DM is right about Elaine Payton's scene in South of the Border 7...excellent scene, not to be missed. She was also hung upside-down in South of the Border 6, too. In fact, all of Elaine's scenes in both movies were memorable. I was thinking of how many times ZFX has done the inverted suspension and I came up with a few more besides those two. Some more good ones would be Kimberly Noble in the original 666, and Lisa Kinkaid in Vacum. Lisa also gets hung upside down and dunked in tub of water in SOB-4. Check my reviews section for more thorough descriptions of these scenes.

Our situation up north is very different.

Last year, some GIMPers who supported Bush's overall agenda were struggling with the Bible-thumping aspects of the neo-conservative agenda -- particularly the threat to freedom of expression.

In Canada, we don't have these issues.

War isn't an issue, since our so-called military is mostly an under-funded joke (Pat Buchanan, of all people, is actually right on this point).

As for concepts like freedom of speech and freedom of expression, no need to worry -- we don't have a mainstream political party that supports these concepts.

Actually, the most vocal free-speech advocates are often found among Canadian conservatives. But the Conservative Party of Canada is headed by a religion-lovin' social conservative (sound familiar?) who is quite comfortable with censorship. Meanwhile, the so-called Liberal Party (which usually wins the elections) is equally silent about individual liberties.

The principles of freedom of speech and freedom of expression aren't found in our constitution, and no mainstream party ever talks about those ideas.

Even a newly formed fringe party, the Sex Party -- a party that wants pro-sex laws like the legalization of prostitution -- is OK with censorship laws against "violent" pornography.

In the U.S., the political climate makes some GIMPers angry. In Canada, it's all just very depressing.

The only thing we have going for us is that many of our law-enforcement agents are kinda lazy. I suspect that's why SaveonAV.com continues to thrive in Canada.

Kevin: Another good ZFX moment is Suzy Sexton hung upside down and violated on/against a wall in Dark Offering; the entire movie was only fair by ZFX standards (of course great compared to most others), but I always liked that particular scene.

Ralphus: Thank you for those wonderful shots of CJ from DH54, for those of you who want more stills of this Gothic cutie Dan's Film contains a marvelous slide show (around 10 mins...I think) featuring photographic highlights. I hope to see more of CJ in the future, I'd reckon she'd also be great in one of those 'Sexandsubmission' features or just plain vanilla porn, heck I'll take her anyway I can!...maybe we can persuade Dan to have her on again (a double torture treat with Beth St John would be magical, my putrid mind just boggles with delight at the bittersweet abominations I'd unleash on those 2....someone please stop me!!....; now where did I leave those 'Pliers'?? .

I will be reviewing DH53 in a few days so watch out for that. If anyone has seen that new Jenna bondage film, let me know, I nearly bought a discounted copy and then I decided against it. Cheers
