Forbidden Video's newest release is a highly touted sex film with a sci-fi plot called Robobabe 2025, starring adult film star Gauge, in her sixth appearance with the company. Her first two films with Forbidden produced two of their best titles, After School Surprise and Black Market Bondage. Unfortunately, her next three tries have been less than stellar. This latest is a bit of an improvement, although still not up the high level of those films.

Robobabe has an intriguing plot. Set in the future, men can now order lifelike robots for any purpose they want. And naturally, there are several female models that will satisfy your every sexual need. Jake (played by Dick Tracy) decides to order one, and guess what? She looks exactly like Gauge! Now yer talkin!

Gauge is delivered to his home in a huge cardboard box, wrapped in plastic and covered with packing peanuts. He plugs her in and reads the instructions. She has several modes of operation, including "Young and Innocent", "Submissive Sex Slave" and "Unwilling Victim". She is voice activated, so she will perform whatever command he chooses.

He selects "Show" and Gauge quickly changes clothes, then performs a sexy striptease for him, removing her sexy red outfit and masturbating herself with a dildo. Wow, just like the real Gauge, and so lifelike!

Next, he commands Gauge to go into the "Young and Innocent" mode and in a blur, she has changed into a cute pink top and has her hair in pigtails (fetishist alert!), like a young teen. He persuades her to suck his dick and then he fucks her from behind, then from the front.

At this point, we're about a half-hour into the tape and it's pretty standard sex film action so far, about like Gauge's hardcore stuff but hardly "dark side" yet. Jake next commands her into her "Submissive" mode. In a flash, she has switched to a sexy bustier and willingly sucks his dick for a while, then she lays on a table and he smacks her pussy a few times with a whip. Then he gives her some oral sex while she hold the whip in her mouth. That's about as dark as it gets in this scene. He penetrates her with the phallic end of his whip while she sucks his dick. He lightly smacks her ass. Very consensual, very dull.

Suddenly, at 51 minutes into the tape, we finally get what we've been wanting to see. Jake switches Gauge to the "Unwilling Victim" mode and it's like we're watching a completely new movie. Gauge swiftly changes clothes and waits for Jake to accost her. She protests when he grabs her, and he quickly throws her to the ground and grabs some duct tape. There's a fast dissolve and she is already gagged with the tape (couldn't we have seen that part?). He opens up her top, removes her panties and while holding her down, fondles her body while she kicks and protests. He picks her up and carries her off.

When we see Gauge next, she is tied over a flight of stairs, with her hands tied together over her head and he legs spread wide and tied to the armrails. Her mouth is still duct-taped. He sucks her nipples and helps himself to her pussy, licking at it while she protests through her gag. Then he rapes her pussy, but the action suddenly becomes simulated, totally unlike the rest of the movie, which had been hardcore up until then. That's Forbidden wimping out and playing it safe, which is too bad. It's still a stimulating scene, and easily the best of the tape, even though the entire "Unwilling Victim" sequence lasts only 7 minutes.

At this point, Jake unties Gauge and the remainder of the film is the "surprising twist ending" that I had already figured out would happen early on in the movie. For once I won't give it away, but it's kind of amusing seeing Gauge go from one extreme to the other.

After the end of the movie, both actors make an appearance in front of the camera where they let everyone watching know that indeed, Gauge didn't have any actual sex while she was tied up. Translation: "Yes, it was simulated; please don't arrest us." Give me a fucking break.

I have to admit I liked this film, even though most of it was straight, vanilla sex. The concept was good, and I like the idea of being able to purchase a robobabe that looks like Gauge. If I had made the movie, I would have made it much more dark and explicit, but at least we get a bondage rape scene with Gauge, even though it was simulated and relatively brief, especially compared with the rest of the movie. As far as she is concerned, I'll take whatever I can get. My grade: B-

I recently rented the DVD of the Defilers and listened to the interview of the director, David Friedman by Mike Vraney of Something Weird Video. During the interview, Mike asked David if he knew anything about the "over the top" movie from the late 60s called the Bushwhacker. David was very familiar with it and said that it was commissioned by some young lady and directed by Byron Mabe. They apparently produced some other wild movie in the desert which was never even released. Mr. Friedman commented that Byron Mabe was excellent at acting and directing movies but knew nothing about promoting or distributing them. Mike lamented that there appeared to be no print of the Bushwhacker still in existence. Several years ago, I talked to Mike of Something Weird Video on the phone and asked him if he knew anything about this movie. He said that "believe it or not, various customers had requested this movie" and he had been looking for it for years but had never found it. I was sorry to see that the actor and director, Mr. Mabe died in Orlando in 2002. I wonder if Rick ever met him.

I watched two showings of the movie in a row in a downtown theatre in Atlanta in about 1974. Wow, did it make me excited! I always planned to see it again but never had a chance to. From what I recall about the plot, it was about a beautiful, slender young girl with long blonde hair wearing a mini-skirt who went on a camping trip with a couple of friends - a guy and a fat girl. During the movie, the young beauty was being stalked by the villain who hides in the bushes. While the blonde was walking behind her friends on a path through the woods, the stalker was following close behind. At one point, the young girl pauses to bend over and pick something up which causes her mini-skirt to hike up even further. Meanwhile, the camera revealingly pans up her shapely long legs. You think the stalker is going to pounce then, but he waits until a few minutes later when they are walking through a field. He suddenly charges out of the forest, grabs the young beauty by her long blonde hair, punches her and slaps her hard in the face until she passes out. He then tosses her limp body over his shoulder and gropes her legs as he carries her away and disappears from sight.

When he gets to an isolated open area, he tosses her still unconscious body roughly onto the ground and rolls her onto her back. He then drives four stakes into the ground and stretches her body out as he ties her to them. As he cuts and tears off her skimpy clothes with a knife, the sexy victim comes to and starts screaming and acting terrified. The maniac proceeds to make numerous small cuts all over her body with his knife. He also whips her with a switch and tortures her with cold water while he roughly handles her luscious body, but does not rape her. He finally grabs one of her breasts and slices it off with a knife and walks away from her presumably lifeless body while munching on her severed breast.

The scene in which her breast was cut off was done so convincingly that I wondered for years whether this might have actually been a snuff movie. Years later, a friend of mine told me that he ran across a magazine with pictures from the Bushwhacker in which they clearly explain that although the scene looked very real, it was actually a masterfully created illusion created by special effects. When I mentioned the Bushwhacker previously on this board, I recall that someone (Sardu?) in the forum mentioned that they had also enjoyed watching this movie and later ran across what was probably the same magazine article assuring that the scene was not for real. The movie was quite a sexy shocker and probably turned me on more than about any other movie I'd seen to that point. However, that was before I had the pleasure of seeing such great classics as those of California Star, HOM, and ZFX.

Interestingly, in about 1994, I located a company called Great Pictures which claimed that they had the Bushwhacker and would sell it to me for something like $75. I thought that was pretty steep and hoped to buy or rent it somewhere else later but have not run across it since. I'm not sure this company is still in existence. I haven't been able to locate it on the Internet, although I haven't really looked very hard. I probably should have bought the movie when I had the chance despite the price, if indeed Great Pictures really had it. So much for my recollections regarding the Bushwhacker. Sorry if I got carried away.

I did a Google check on "Great White Pictures" and about all I found was stuff about the band and the shark. 1974 was a long time ago for a company to still be in business. And as far as finding a movie from 1968, I do remember it was only just a few years ago that Something Weird finally found a print of the 1968 cult favorite The Pick Up. I had seen the trailer for it on another one of their tapes several years earlier and tried to order it then, but they didn't have it at the time. They said they had been searching for the movie for 10 years and finally located a print of it in Denmark, of all places. So it's possible that maybe a print of The Bushwhacker still exists, somewhere. You can bet if anyone finds it, it will be Something Weird. They have the most amazing collection of rare schlock, and they've unearthed some real gems that nobody else seems to have.

I wonder if years from now, people will be trying to locate ZFX films and today's harder stuff the same way they look for the Whitman loops and those 1970s roughies? Will people say "Yeah, I remember seeing this great video Trick or Treat 2 once upon a time, before the company that made it got cold feet and pulled it from circulation. Now you just can't find it anymore..."

The only scene I remember is from an old Cal-Star production called "The Terror Zone" (recently released by another company) in which Crystal Breeze was staked out in the desert for all to short a time. The Greek File- I remember this movie too. Pia Snow and Ronnie Dixon, my favorite 80's bondage stars. It was very similar to "The Spy Game" also by Cal Star which featured both of them as well. (The Spy Game has been re-released by the same company that has re-released "The Terror Zone," it might be the film mentioned with Ronnie Dixon bound in front of the fire place). Of the two movies, "The Greek File" is the better- unlike the other, it has full nudity, and tastey Ronnie Dixon gets tasted against her will ( at least the earlier cuts- later versions of the film I saw years ago tended to have scenes cut, a problem with old Cal Star productions.) I think Ronnie Dixon and Tina Cambridge are the same person, does anyone know? I also read some place that she was a former beauty contestant.

g-in-o: Carried on a pole scenes in movies...can't recall ever seeing the victim naked; in fact, I can only remember one scene like that in an old Italian movie called White Slave, and it was a pretty brief sequence. It didn't stop them from putting that particular picture on the video box, though. They know what sells a movie!

Staked out in the sun: I don't think I've ever actually seen this particular theme ever done in a movie, which surprises me because it is an idea that seems ripe with possibilities. I do have an old bondage mag with a girl staked out on the lawn (wearing panties) and Club Dead sells a short mpeg featurette that features a chick staked out totally naked, presumably before being killed. Myself, I think this would be a great torture concept and I'm surprised no adult producer has taken a chance on attempting such a scenario. Think about it. You could show the victim streched out and uncomfortable, the beads of sweat pouring off her body (easy to simulate). You could constantly cut away to the blazing sun above and show her skin reddening as the hours slowly go by. Her captor could torment her further by pouring water next to her just so close that she cannot get any into her mouth, further adding to her frustration and mental anguish. And of course, there's the rape aspect, with her helplessly spread and totally vulnerable. Maybe a whole gang of men can take turns gang-raping her while she's staked out in the ground. I saw this in an old movie called Trap Them and Kill Them with Laura Gemser where this blonde captive was raped on the ground one by one by a group of natives; only she wasn't staked out, unfortunately. Other than that, it was a great scene, and it could certainly be pulled off better by the likes of ZFX, if Rick will give it a shot. Just spread-eagle Lisa in the blazing sun and let her suffer that way (should be easy to find a sunny day in Florida!) and have someone rape her while she's pinned to the ground. I know I'd buy it!

Your latest review sounds rather generous for a movie w/only a seven minute B&D scene in it. The premise does sound kinda interesting though. Reminds me a little of "West World", where guests at an amusment park are entertained by lifelike robots catering to each individual guest's fantasies. But I still think your Gauge jones is showing through.

Outdoor stakeouts~I remember a pretty good one on a flick called "Wild Thing" (I think). Staked out and stripped. One of the best parts of the scene was curiously enough, the dialog. After staking out his victim, the captor, while stripping her talks to her..."Yoy won't need these anymore...In fact, you may never need them again." Or something to that effect. I gives an example to how proper dialog can enhance a scene, giving an otherwise basic scene and element of menace.

It's been a long time since my video store has had a new ZFX, it just got one in but I was disappointed. I think it was #6 of SOB? Sorry, Rick, while the new actress was cute, and Lisa's scene had a couple of moments, mostly I just found it boring. I really tried to keep an open mind, because in the past some ZFX flix that didn't impress me at first later grew on me. (Did that ever happen to you guys?) Fpr example, I didn't care much for Dark Offering at first, but over time that scene with the blond chick returning home, being kidnapped by the four hooded guys in her kitchen, and then tied spread eagles on the sacrifice table has become one of my favorite scenes.

I also rented one of the Virgin Kink movies, I think it was # 21?, and that was lousy, too. Sometimes this series can be pretty good, especially if it's a cute mainstream porn actress who you're just itching to see in bondage, but this one had no bondage, just mild whipping, and non-cute chicks, really disappointing. It has been the "vanilla" flix which have gotten my engine revved recently. The Unnatural Sex and Service Animals ones are always good, if you like that kind of dominance, A2M kind of thing.

One of the Service Animal ones, I think it was #10, had an interesting scene where the girl was collared during the whole scene with a bunch of balloons with the balloon strings wound tightly around her neck. She seemed to be into the choking, sometimes grabbing the strings and pulling them herself when the guys weren't doing it to her. The scene was bizarre, at times very erotic and at times not so much, but certainly it was creative. I like that series because they are often creative.

I also saw Gauge in something, maybe a Whack Attack movie, where her hands were briefly handcuffed behind her outdoors while she blew some guys. But they quickly removed the cuffs, and the scene wasn't so good. I like Gauge, but I have almost no interest in outdoor scenes. In real life I have made love outdoors on the beach and it's been nicely erotic and sensual and all that, but in my fantasies for some reason outdoor scenes usually turn me off, and even many indoor scenes if they are in less plausible places (like the kitchen or living room). I really like a strong sense of menace, and to me there is something more erotic about that slow sensual dance of dom and sub taking place in a bedroom. People's eroticism is so weirdly individual, isn't it?

One flick I saw was A-1 excellent, Randy West's Up & Cummers I think # 98 with Jenna Haze. (I rented, didn't buy, so sorry for being unsure of the #s). I'd never seen an Up and Cummers before, and I really liked the way it was filmed, Randy West took a lot more time with each actress than most porn films do. There were three girls only, all making love with him. It reminded me of Ed Powers' style, but just much better done.

But the highlight was Jenna Haze's scenes, who is an incredible hotty, and who said that when she was making West's film it was the end of her first week in porn, so she was a complete porn actress newbie. The best scene comes at the very end of the movie, where she does her first on-screen anal, and she is freaked out by the intensity and he has to keep stopping but then restarting again.

Don't get me wrong, I like the gonzo genre with painful anals and gapes and the like, but I have long been looking for an anal scene filmed a little less graphically and where the girl is totally into it so I can reassure my girlfriends that anal sex is okay. And Haze is so-o into it in this scene, she keeps saying things like, "Oh my gawd, that is so intense, I can't believe how good that feels, I swear I'm turning into an anal fanatic, I had anal in my private life the other night and I thought THAT was good, but this is incredible!" So guys, if you ever need an anal scene to show a S.O., this is the one.

Randy West does act a little dominantly in a few of these scenes, holding the girls arms down rightly over their heads and that kind of thing. So it got me wondering which episodes are the good ones in this Up & Cummers series, and whether in any of them he explores that dominance thing a little further. I'm never quite sure how to handle showing off some of the photos I've taken. Scribbler's provided me some webspace to display images at their regular size instead of the shrunken sizes at my Yahoo group.

There's some crossover from the stuff I do and what ZFX does, but it's not a perfect match. I'm much more into rape fantasies than torture, so the focus is on groping the helpless gal. I've had the good fortune to work with models that are very expressive and great at emoting horror, fear, and pain.

I've been debating how okay it would be to announce the pages Scribbler put up. There's always a fine line in these things between sharing some cool photos and spamming. I've participated on and off in this group for years, so it's not as if I only come here to spam. I do try to add info to the group when I can. I cannot imagine that anybody here will be too upset with the photos I'm sharing.

So far, there's only been 53 page views at the Super-heroines link. That at least gives me a idea of how few people regularly go through my group's messages. I thought there'd at least be a few hundred, so that demonstrates how deceptive the number of group members is to determining regular interest in the group. Based on that bit of info, I'm not exactly overloading Scribbler's site.

The rough rule of thumb I've been given is that I can expect a few percent of site visitors to join my site when I finally put it up. Outside of a few bondage sites, most don't make enough money to do much better than break even with out of pocket costs (the largest of which is modeling fees). That doesn't even consider the amount of time invested in prepping photos and website maintenance. When you see a model site go down, you can get an appreciation of how hard it is to break even with this stuff. A model site saves thousands of dollars a year on modeling costs alone compared to photographer sites.

There's a little of that in my work. I've got nearly every HOM mag he did and often pull out those mags to kick start my fantasies. I'm not trying to out and out ape what he does, but the influence is there.

I have been lucky to find a lot of very attractive models. I remain amazed that my success rate of finding models, willing to do force shoots, is no better with bondage models than with mainstream models. The link I provided above, is for a shoot with Candace and this was her first bondage shoot. You wouldn't know that because she has great poses and expressions and remains one of my favorite models. I've just sent Scribbler an Elkie Cooper set and she's another fave.

In most cases, I'm using a villain that the model has picked and he could be a boyfriend, husband, or just a friend. I completely agree that the villain makes a difference, but I'm limited in who I can use for these types of shoots. When the villain's expressions are completely off, I'll likely crop his head out. In the end, it is really the model who sells the shoot.

I haven't gotten that comment before. Up to now, it's been a deliberate choice on my part to not always have the model looking into the camera. It often works for single images, but it can be a bit corny in a large story oriented set. It breaks the feeling that what's happening is real and makes the camera too noticeable in what's happening. I've usually asked models to not look directly at the camera. I'd like to hear other opinions on this.

Scribbler just put up the Elkie set and you'll probably have to agree that she's equally hot and expressive if not even a little more so.

On the Candace set, I hadn't quite realized that her boyfriend was looking into the camera as often as he was. It takes about 2 1/2 hours for a shoot and I'm snapping pix very fast, so most of my time is spent looking through a viewfinder and there's not enough detail there to know exactly what's going on. How much time does anybody want to spend looking at the villain when there's a gorgeous gal in serious distress. I did fix one of the pix up, but debated the effort to do the rest because it's a little more difficult to do than I expected and still make it look right. I could always wrap a story around the set where there was a photographer taking photos of the attack.

I do agree with you about not having talent look directly into the camera. This is especially bad in video if they do, and always ends up on the editing room floor so to speak. Not so bad if it happens in a photo story a couple times or so--if the girl does it. This can turn out to be a really good photo sometimes, but you're right to not use it too much. Shooting a photo story series is kind of like shooting a movie but only showing key frames. So yeah, your choice is the right one. Also, when you start doing video, don't let talent look at an offscreen monitor either.

I think it's fine to announce relevant stuff on the GIMP board. Rick does, Dan Hawke and Steve from Forbidden do on occasion, and so do I. If someone spams without contributing in any other way, Ralphus (or I) will probably delete it, but you've been a contributor for a while, so no problem there.

I really like the more intense breast squeezing in your photos. Haven't seen that since classic HOM mags and loops. I tried to do it in my Supragrrl poser comic, with marginal results. If anyone knows of other producers doing it, let us know.

Villain wise, I like the hooded look, not sure why exactly, maybe cause it seems more anonymous, and more menacing. When it's too hot to wear a hood, dark sunglasses can also work, and would be helpful to solve the eye direction problem for the less experienced actors. Making the cameraman a 3rd character is an idea I've had too, tho I'm usually thinking video with voice over. Could definitely work. She could be running for office and they're doing this to her as blackmail so she'll pull out. Could be any sort of blackmail theme.

RR--You show real potential for storyline photos. Keep up the good work and let us know.

Great thing about an online forum is how much validity is given to the uninformed opinion - namely mine. Knowing nothing about video or photography, I still must disagree about the model looking at the camera. For me this is a highlight. Kim Wild and Arianna have both done video shoots in which they spent the entier time pleading with the camera while tied up, and I think the effect was great.

And even in scene bondage like Bruce Seven or Dan Hawke, I find myself trying to catch the occaisional glance at the camera. If it were me in the driver's seat, I would make eye contact a staple of any bondage flick. Just a few moments where the viewer gets to taste, more intimately, the model/character's predicament.....

It depends what kind of scene is being shot, and what the camera's role in it is. If the story is where a character sets up a camera to record what goes on, or has a 3rd person there (the cameraman playing a character), and all the characters know the camera is part of the story, then yeah, the camera presence is part of the scene so characters can look at it, talk about it, acknowledge it, etc. If it's a POV (point of view) shot, where the camera is the eyes of someone in the scene, or meant to bring the viewer into the scene, as tho he's actually there looking in on things, then the girl can look at that person and address that person, via the camera.

But most of the time in movies/TV presenting fictional stories, the camera is an invisible presence in the room that characters aren't supposed to know is there, so they don't acknowledge the camera or look directly at it. There are exceptions like in SCRUBS or ANNIE HALL, where a character addresses the audience directly through the camera, but that's more of a novelty thing.

You like what you like, and there's nothing wrong with that. The occasional glance at the camera on a shoot where the camera's supposed to be invisible doesn't work for me in video. Tho it works OK for a few shots in an equivalent photo story (if the girl does it, not the villain--not sure why, but works for me). If the camera is a prop in the scene known to be there by the characters, then they can look at the camera all they want (within reason).

Am I repeating myself too much? seems like it.

That's just a hazard in hiring couples. Jon Woods has more practice acting, so he can maintain the role of a villain effectively through a shoot. With the others, I'm getting what I can. .

It's interesting that we've got different opinions on having the model look directly into the camera. I've seen lots of great detective cover photos doing that and it works a lot in love bondage shoots where the camera is almost like a person looking in. It does break the storyline shoots up, so I won't have models looking at the camera often. I'll have to keep a better eye on what the villains are doing. Considering that I'm so focused on the model and often have to Photoshop out a light or other prop, it'll be hard to pay attention to what the guy's doing. .

Actually, I've shot a few. They're incredibly amateurish where it's just me walking around with a camera. I've essentially shot them just for myself, figuring that they're too crude to ever imagine anybody wanting to pay for them. Maybe it's working looking into a means to distribute them.

Like everybody else that seems to cross the line from viewer to producer, I mostly wound up doing it because I couldn't find the kind of material I want.

I've long felt there was a middle ground area in bondage that nobody seemed to be working on. It seemed as if there was love bondage on one extreme and torture bondage on the other with little content in between. It wasn't till Lorelei started doing her ForceFantasies site that I started finding material that was along the lines of what I was looking for. Even there, Lorelei made some choices, such as no gag, that didn't 100% match up with what I wanted to see. That eventually spurred me to shoot my own material and the first BondCon put me in an environment where I could find models to work with.

One of the things I wanted to see were more rough breast squeezing. To me, it's one of the most visually powerful images. It's an attack on the woman's femininity. Breasts are the most outwardly visual cue that separates men from women and society places such importance on them. There's something incredibly erotic for me to see men squeezing a woman's breasts against her will. It's a harsh image, seeing the flesh of the breasts bunched around the fingers of a cruel hand.

Part of what makes breast squeezing so compelling is that a medium shot gets both the head and the breasts in the frame. Capturing a rape on film has to mostly be done in a long shot because the action is taking place on the other side of the body. An attack on a woman's breasts become much more personal because the reaction is immediately reflected in her expressions.

Outside of Lorele's FF site, I'm not sure where somebody can find a lot of images of breasts being squeezed.

A hood also masks the villain's expressions and that makes the villain look more imposing. A hood shares no emotions. Look at some of the more recent horror film monsters, such as Halloween's Michael Meyers or Jason. These are emotionless monsters, devoid of any sympathy or pity.

Dan Hawke's latest release is DH40: Tormented Tart, and right away it's an improvement over the last one I saw from him, mainly because this one stars the lovely blonde Angelica Vamp. Like seemingly every other model in the "biz" today, she also sports a tattoo, but at least it's on her back shoulder and not nearly as omnipresent as others I've seen. The tape starts off as Dan drags her into his warehouse and handcuffs her hands to a beam above. He gags her with a red ball gag, and completely rips her dress off her body. Her panties are still on, but Dan knows what he wants done with those. After a bit of whipping to inspire her to open her mouth, he stuffs the panties in her mouth and seals them over with several strips of duct tape (yes!). Dan then hoists one of her legs off the ground and ties it to a rope through her crotch, even adding weights to the rope and then leaving her alone to balance on one leg for a while.

One major debit in this tape, and it simply has to be mentioned: Dan employs the "Dutch angle", in which the camera is turned sideways, far too often, especially in the otherwise fine opening scene. We have to watch a good deal of the action with our head at an angle, and then at times, Dan cuts to another Dutch angle going the other way, then sideways the other direction again, until I was getting whiplash from tilting my head back and forth! It's extremely annoying, and I honestly see no reason to shoot any of the action sideways; all it does is draw attention to itself and away from the action onscreen.

The next scene has Angelica (wearing clothing again, odd) bound on her stomach on a wooden crate. She is gagged with a bit gag, and her arms are chained behind her and attached to a beam on the ceiling, along with her legs. Dan then slowly hoists her off the ground and she is left to helplessly spin under her own weight. He keeps her up there for a while, and the scene might have benefited from some tighter editing. At one point we hear Hawke tell her, "Let us know when it's too much, okay?" This ruins the fantasy that this is a nonconsensual scene.

This is followed by a scene where she is tied on her knees, ankles tied together with her hands behind her back, wearing a black teddy and her mouth gagged with a ring gag. Dan exposes her breasts and runs a rope through her pussy lips and ties it out away from her, tightening it so that she has to deal with the strain around her crotch. Not much else happens; we just get to watch her struggle in bondage, and she's nice to look at.

Next up, Angelica is naked except for white heels and stockings, with her boobs tied up and her arms bound behind her. Her mouth is filled with a white ball gag. Dan lifts her onto a wooden horse, chaining her legs far apart so that all the weight is on her pussy. He then leaves her there to endure it for a while. The scene is too padded, but along the way, we're treated to a few nice close ups of drool dripping down from the ball gag between her lips.

The final scene is the best of the tape, and the main reason for getting this tape, IMO. Dan has Angelica lying naked on her back on a wooden "Y" rack, with her legs spread wide and locked in there with chains. Her wrists are cuffed over her head and she is gagged with a black ball gag. She is a lovely site indeed.

Dan ties a line around her nipples and secures it to a beam above her, pulling her nipples taut. Then he takes clamps and opens up her pussy lips, pulling the cords attached to the clamps away from her and tying them to her toes, one on each side. With her all stretched and opened up, he tantalizes and tortures her pussy with a vibrator, moving it around until she is moaning and writhing her binds. She cums from the vibrator treatment, and struggles so much that she pulls out the lines from her nipples. So, to punish her, Dan replaces them with a whole slew of clothespins tightened around her breasts, finishing by applying the final pins to her nipples and pussy lips. After leaving her alone for a few minutes to suffer, he returns to torment her further as he slowly takes them off, showing off the nice marks left on her body. He tightens up the rack a bit more and leaves her stretched out as the tape ends.

Overall, there's lots of good stuff here, starting with a beautiful model and Dan's inventive bondage positions. And, like most of Hawke's work, it could benefit from tighter editing and especially, more competent direction. It was frustrating to watch early on but improves as it builds to its climax.

But that's kinda been one of my pet peeves. If you've already got her naked...why??? To me it just kinda defeats the purpose. It also could be risky. I mean, unless you render the victim unconscious, you take the risk of having her escape, or catch a well placed kick in the crotch as you loosen her bonds, or both. Anyway, for me, it's just seems counter productive.

Beyond Driven 1-3.

Number 1 wasn't that great, but wasn't that bad either. However numbers 2 and 3 have a couple of my all time favorite ZFX Rape scenes. Number 2 with the Bondage and Rape on the workout bench and that nice shot of the cum dripping out of her ass and into her crotch. Mmmmmmm. And then number 3 with one of my favorite Lisa rapes. Doggy style. I also love the attempt at a more "horror" oriented theme. Wish it could have been done better. But do realize that Rick is on a very small tight budget. Still I can dream about decaying zombies abducting, tormenting, and raping beautiful women ZFX style. :)

After that I'd have to say that the Alien Probe series comes in for a close 2nd. The South of the Border series comes in a close 3rd.

For the other series they had some hits and misses for me. For example I absolutely loved Video Pirates 1. The whole aerobics outfit thing just does wonders for me. It would have been even better if she had gotten raped. However some of the others in the series I didn't much care for.

I noticed you left off the 2 part "mini-series" so I won't comment on them. But there's some good stuff there also.

But out of all the series. The Beyond Driven stuff is by far my favorite. It's a long ways from that to the Alien Probe series. I'm crossing my fingers that the Rick will re-release them with more explicit scenes. If you haven't seen them yet, Beyond Driven 2 and 3 are absolute MUST SEE videos for any ZFX fan. :) I just love the diabolical weight bench/dildo/struggling victim scene in the 2nd video. You have to see it to know what I mean. But I consider that scene absolute pure genius. And I just drool to think what Rick could do with something like that now-a-days without so many of the restrictions that held him back at the time.

Also, I would NOT recommend purchasing Fantom Kiler 3. I have to say I was majorly disappointed in this one. I just received it yesterday and plan on forcing myself to watch it one more time before trying to come up with a review for it. However, I don't think that will change my opinion of it. I still love the first 2 in the series however. There is also a very very short (15-20 second) clip at the end that implies there will be a 4th in the series. You can't tell anything at all from it however.

"Machine Head" (or one from that series as I have no memory at times) for example, didn't much care for as it turned out it didn't have many scenes that float my boat. And I tend to be very hard to please, for lack of any better way to put it, if a film has too much of this, or not enough of that. Clothing's a big thing w/me. The lack of the right outfit...or too much of it left on, can ruin much of a scene for me.

"War Pigs" would be another case in point. It could have been a nominee here if it were not for the combat boots being left on the entire time. I thought the first two in the series were well done, with good scenes, but just couldn't get past those boots. Others may be able to look past it, but to me, there's almost nothing more causing of a loss of erection that seeing a beautiful babe, naked and bound, and having her there in combat boots. One of the most singularly un-sexy things I can think of. Like I said, could have been a nominee...

"Miss Balista" I can't nominate for similar reasons. As much as I liked part II, I am really not into the super heroine type outfits/theme. So even though I really liked it a lot, I just couldn't get myself to want to get any others in the series. Haven't seen 'em, can't nominate 'em.

So I guess I'm gonna have to go with the SOB series. Lots of great looking women in appealing scenes.

I have a question for the panel. I've seen some of Rick's early works but as I have pointed out, haven't seen as many as most all of you. What film was Rick's first that he switched from scenes ("Hardbound TV" as an example of a more scene than story vid...if my memory is correct on the title) to a full story line video? And which is the video you think he turned the corner in and did effectively for the first time?

AVF - Good question. I had to go back to the official ZFX site to look at the chronology to figure out which was the first that featured a "Storyline" from start to finish rather than being just a series of totally unrelated (other than the bondage) scenes. And guess what? The first official ZFX title that Rick has listed is also the first one with a storyline. It also happens to be a good one. Maybe not up to the same quality as those made recently, it was extremely good at the time.

As to a "turning point." Ack, for me there wasn't really one because I kind of followed ZFX as it grew. And if anyone remembers the early 90's EVERYTHING other than Rick's work was pretty damned Vanilla. So EVERYTHING he released was great. Looking back a few of the older titles would be down on my list of priorites to re-purchase on DVD, but there are still a few that I would get in a heartbeat.

Anyway, the point being, that for me there wasn't a point where ZFX went from good to "great god almighty this is unbelievably good." :D It was just a good thing that kept getting better, with the occasional video that I didn't care much for (Vostock Core, the Worm for example). However it was extremely rare for me to not at least like the majority of Rick's work. And more often than not I absolutely loved his work and can't imagine not having it.

I checked. Lisa Kinkaid made her first tape with ZFX way back in 1995. Eight years ago! No wonder people associate ZFX with her, especially now that she passed Chandra to become the all-time most prolific performer in ZFX history. I honestly don't see anyone taking her place, although I'm not Rick and I have no idea what his plans are and whether he has any new girls lined up. From what I hear, Rick is super-busy with DVD conversions, and I'm guessing we may only get one or two new tapes this year. When he's done updating his immense catalog, maybe he'll get back to work and start shooting again, or maybe he'll just retire and count his millions and look back on fine career. I hope he still has the desire to go out and start tying up girls again on film, because there's still nobody close to making bondage tapes with the kind of brutal themes that he delivers in his works.

Favorite scene...as much as I liked the dunking scene from the SOB series I think I still like Chandra's ending scene in "Panticide Peepshow II" where's she's tied to the door the best. She did a classic preformance IMO as she tried her best to fight off the assult while trying to reach up to loosen the cord around her throat that was holding her to the door at the same time. The combination of acting and her oh so hot looks in this one is what makes it my favorite scene.

Question 2] Similar to a lobby for Rick to re-make some of his older works w/a new cast. The one that had great potential and cries out to be re-made is "Trojan Horse". Remade scene? WAAAAAY too many list. :) The one thing I always wished for was more rape scenes that weren't so obviously fake. IE - obvious there is no way in hell the girl is getting penetrated (pants still on). No matter how corny or cheesy it may or may not look, a nice rape scene with some kind of penetration always comes across better to me then the rape scene where they try to imply the penetration by hiding it somehow.

I could also use a little help on something, and this looks like the best place to try to get some help. :P

First the easier of the questions. Does anyone know of a place where you can get "official" HOM reels on DVD? If nothing exists then VHS would have to "suffice." If no official channel exists for them I have no choice but to ask if there is an "unofficial" place to obtain them?

Next there's a few videos that I've been trying to get that I already know there aren't any official ways to purchase. Or that the official version are heavily edited to remove some of the best scenes as they aren't "politically correct." The following I'm trying to find in their original form.

Multitape series: bought Gangland 1, liked the first half, second half the pacing slowed a lot, was a long drawn out candle wax dripping scene, about 30 minutes and the camera never moved. Then found out that there would be a Gangland 2 via previews and pretty much felt gypped. Those scenes from Gangland 2 should be in Gangland 1. Decided not to look into buying Gangland 2 or after, wasn't going to play that game.

Rented Video Pirates #?, might have been 5, started with previews of prior tapes, part of which had a guy and a girl tormenting and shoving a dildo up the ass (I think) of a girl victim. This part seemed really cool to me. Then the actual video started with long padded scenes of a blonde investigator and a brunette in various bondage scenes with slow dull action, snooze time for me. Didn't pursue checking out any more Video Pirates even tho, as I said, I did like that one part of the beginning previews.

My take on Multitape series. Don't mind the concept if each individual tape stands on it's own (but I've yet to see it). Don't care for it when the action is stretched out across multiple tapes as a money making device. Overall, don't really see the need for it in BDSM fetish tapes.

That pretty much mirrors my thoughts on Multitape series. The takedown, binding, and stripping the helpless heroines is what turns me on (xmall wonder that this is a feature of my photos). If a tape is continued, some of the models are already trapped, so the audience is denied seeing them be captured in sequels.

Although some people like plots in ZFX videos, it's not terribly important. The focus of these videos is torturing women. Whether the women are arrested by Latin American drug enforcers or kidnapped hitchhikers, or captured reporters, the action is basically the same. There's a little variety from video to video, but people are going to come back to ZFX if they like the action within. The plot adds incidental variety to the video, but it's not as important to how the women are being tormented.

Rather than have multipart tapes, I'd prefer to see branded videos. This would be videos where there's a fair amount of similarity to what's happening in the series. I rent more videos than I buy and that's because I'm often disappointed when a subsequent video doesn't match up with what I was hoping to see. I like force fantasies, so I'd like to see a ZFX series that focuses more on that element. A branded line of "Forced Entry" videos would be closer to my tastes than a typical ZFX video. I don't need a detailed plot, just a bunch of women being grabbed and groped.

PS..Check out Kelly McKay in SOB IV through VI and Underland and you will see she trims up quite nicely. And a much better hair style as well.

Another multi-tape series of note: (only two though) "Voodoo Dolls" The first for the hilarious Lisa being fucked by a Teddy Bear, the second for every thing else that gets done to her.

The tape you rented sounds a bit like Video Pirates 4 or 5, hard to say. The scene you liked was most likely the aforementioned sequence of Rick and Chandra torturing Melisa Pope, which started in Part 2 and continued through Part 5. If I had to pick an all-time favorite ZFX scene, this would have to be it, even if it was stretched out over four tapes. And like you, I saw no reason to extend this footage over multiple tapes. The scene was hinted at with a 3-minute teaser at the end of Part One including the part where Rick shocks Melisa's pussy, and when VP-2 came out, I was all excited because I thought "Yes, finally! I'll get to see that scene!" But no, that particular sequence didn't begin until Part 2 and didn't actually deliver the electric shock scene until Part 4 (although thankfully, both 3 and 4 were released at the same time). I remember feeling a bit annoyed that I had to wait again after Part 2, although what Rick did was follow a formula that has worked since those old-time serials, and it worked, because he kept me tuning in to see what would happen the next time. But IMO, if Rick were to just edit all the Melisa footage together into one show, it would be one of the best ZFX vids ever made.

g-in-o: Personally, I liked Kelly McKay better before she made her "comeback" with Rick in the later tapes. Mainly because I liked her hair longer, and it was shorter when we saw her again, but she still has that lovely body. She has to be one of the most beautiful girls Rick has ever worked with.

My favorite series was the 2 part "Subject 9" films, featuring a pre-op Penelope Pace in her first ZFX appearances.
