BLINDFOLDS, Hoods, Masks... are they necessary ?

This topic is about blindfolds, hoods, masks and other sensory deprivation gear.
Do you think they are necessary or useful to train or punish the GIMP ?
Personally I do, and like them because:
1) Blindfolds adds to the distress and vulnerability of the slave.
2) Increase fear and anxiety since the slave is unable to see what will happen to her and who's in charge.
3) Makes her clumsy and dependent on others even for simple tasks, which adds to the humiliation.
4) Helps the slave concentrate better.
5) Makes her more sensitive to other physical stimuli.
6) Can be an additional punishing tool, especially when used in combination with a gag, earplugs or a fully closed (sensory deprivative) Hood.
7) A blindfolded slave do better blowjobs (don't ask me how I know !)
8) Many slaves don't like to be blindfolded (another good reason to use them)
9) Nearly ALL slaves hate (or are afraid of) full sensory deprivation hoods.
Of course, the blindfold shouldn't be used as a light decorative erotic item but must be perfectly light tight, wide enough, the fully closed model with a cut-out hole for the nose is to be preferred. Many other variations are possible.
I'll post below my preferred blindfolds and restrictive headgear.
