On this date 24 years ago...

...this board was launched into cyberspace by The Gimp. It all started when he and I got into an interesting back and forth conversation, via newsgroup posts, after I posted one of my ZFX reviews on the newsgroup alt.sadistic. He thought it would be a good idea to make an entire site devoted to the discussion of ZFX and other extreme bondage videos. A few days later, March 29, 1999, this site was born.

And to celebrate, we have the official results of the balloting for the GIMP Hall of Fame.  Who are the latest to join the Hall?  And who just missed getting in?  I'm not telling, you'll have to visit the Hall yourself to find out.  But it's not a long walk.  In fact, you can get there in just one click: https://ralphus.net/special/halloffame/

24 years is a long time for any site to last on the Internet, especially if you consider the content we have here.  Oh, we've had some glitches along the way. Dreambook closed down without warning in 2014, but GIMP Hall of Famer Amy Hesketh built us a new site two weeks later.  We survived a cyber-hacker asshole in 2020 and lost 7 years of our history, but the gallant efforts of Margot (aka Mrs. Garrett) have rebuilt the old forum into the more modern structure we have today.  And things will get better, she promises.  Who am I to doubt her?

But ultimately, the main reason why this board has survived...and thrived...is the contributions from YOU, the people that visit here. We wouldn't have much of a site without our readers, the ones who post and add their opinions and reviews. I like to think of this site as a comfortable meeting place for like-minded individuals to discuss their love of such normally socially taboo subjects as rape, bondage and torture without the fear of scorn by others. Together, you've made this a great website, and a fun place to hang out every day.

So Happy Anniversary to all my fellow pervs and sick fucks for 24 excellent years!

And huge thanks to Ralphus for compiling the votes and you both (La Reine Margot) for keeping the lights on. Ralphus, the depth of your knowledge never fails to amaze me.

Reading the list of vote-getters in 2023 reminds me of how diverse this Forum is. Thank you Ralphus for acknowledging Mallory Knots as "Mallory".

Margot, thanks very much for updating the look, and for giving Ralphus an updated haircut, everything looks splendid! Plus it loads faster too.

This a good place to say I'm pleased to see the three new inductee's to the HoF. All of them are very deserving of the honor imo, and glad to see that caught enough votes this time. Bravo everybody.

Also giving thanks to Ralphus and Margot for all their hard work to keep this forum running so well.

That is an accomplishment!

Ralphus said it very well in his anniversary post and I'm somewhat surprised that only a handful participated of this celebration.

I can't say the enthusiasm is shared by many.

Is there anybody out there? Apart from the 8 that remembered?

I know there are many who use the site and post, and post some more, and then post again and I'm happy they do, but...

I have been involved in maintaining this site for a few years now, with the ups and downs that come with it and I will continue with my efforts with the assistance of those who are part of my team. But I feel that the site is taken for granted, as if its existence is a given and not and effort that should be celebrated.

Next year, around this time, it will be a quarter of a century and I expect, if all goes well, to have a tremendous celebration, not like now, where 8 of the hundreds of members remembered what it means to have this amazing site.

However, I brought out a few of our extras to have a nice parade.
