Oh my.... just simply awesome work. I had almost forgotten how good your burn scenes are. Glad to know you're getting things up and running again. As always, thank you for sharing.bleumune wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 10:28 am Zowie!!! I'm still in the early stages of bringing my new workstation to life, but one of the first things I did was to try to resurrect Daz Studio. There's still more to do, but I was able to load up an image I was doing some testing one just before my crash, and it RENDERED! See the two images I posted.
The new beast is FAST! My old machine was choking on just two characters with the background scenery (I think it was the scenery that was gobbling up the memory and making the image file too large for my Gigabyte 11 GB GPU). With my new RTX A4000 GPU, my first render (at 1500 pixels in width) took only 13 minutes. Even when I kicked the resolution up to 2500 pixels in width, it only took 40 minutes -- and that's with two extra characters added!
Now, back to work. I need to add photoshop and get all my brushes loaded so I can add smoke and other postwork stuff.

With my new system, I was inspired to recreate one of the weird menace magazines so popular in the 1930's long before Political Correctness reared its ugly head and forced our hobby into the shadows. Here is the original Dime Mystery 1938-01 cover images that I collected somewhere.

And here are my imaginings of how that scene should have looked!
Re: Men's Magazines alterations
Needless to say, I like your version much, much better.

Re: Men's Magazines alterations
@bleumune, It's great having you back in full force. You were sorely missed.

I actually created and posted this Mag cover a while back:http://ralphus.net/thegimpforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30,
I like Bleumune better but mine has Ralphus as the villain. Will Burner
Re: Men's Magazines alterations
I had forgotten that you did that cover until you posted the link! Great minds and all that!wjhk93 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 8:20 pmI actually created and posted this Mag cover a while back:http://ralphus.net/thegimpforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30,

Speaking of Ralphus, has he just disappeared? I know we have a lot to be grateful to Margot for, but I miss Ralphus. For one thing, I have no idea how to get a written story posted any more. All the ones I did previously, I emailed them to Ralphus and he took care of the rest.
