That's a plausible scenario. Different folk can concoct different stories to go with a picture. I was too lazy to write a little story blurb. I made this composite (there is usually a story in my mind before I start working) thinking of African rebels sweeping through the countryside and razing the plantations of white planters when the men were away fighting the rebels. These two unfortunate GIMPS just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They could be mother and daughter, two sisters, or two perfect strangers subject to the same fate, whatever strikes each particular fancy.
