Are you sure? Because it looks like the same actress and costuming from "The Warrior and the Sorceress" with David Caradine and Maria Socas to me.Mr. Hyde wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 11:39 pmTNX, but it isn't "The Warrior and the Sorceress".skullchaser wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 9:20 pm I love how you snuck in that pic from "The Warrior and the Sorceress". Sorry, you're right. This one photo is from "The Warrior and the Sorceress", rest are from "BARBARIAN QUEEN"skullchaser wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 7:28 am Are you sure? Because it looks like the same actress and costuming from "The Warrior and the Sorceress" with David Caradine and Maria Socas to me.

But it definitely is the way that scene should have been filmed, instead of her wearing a big oversized robe. She can run around in a purple g-string and veil for the rest of the movie, except for that one scene. :/Mr. Hyde wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 4:04 pmSorry, you're right. Re: BARBARIAN QUEEN 40th ANNIVERSARY
I was in college when that movie came out. It was summer, and in a college town there isn't much to do during the summer. It's like the whole town was holding its breath for the start of the Fall term and college football. So I got in the habit of going to the discount theater to catch the Cannon Films releases like "Enter The Ninja" and other Sho Kosugi ninja films. The Chuck Norris "Missing in Action" films played there, too. So, when I saw "Barbarian Queen" listed as a feature, I figured I'd give it a shot. So did a lot of the Middle Earth fans of Tolkien. I don't know what they were expecting, but it wasn't this.Darthsaad wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 3:07 am Way back in the days before the World Wide Web and the plethora of porn we enjoy today, people who enjoyed the spectacle of a gorgeous woman bound and tortured had to scrounge through the mainstream media for thrills. The onset of VHS tapes and Video stores certainly helped, and that is how I first stumbled on the now classic BARBARIAN QUEEN.
This sword and sandal adventure certainly wasn’t Academy Award material. B grade would be accurate, and some would say generous. But it did have two redeeming features. Namely the beautiful young Lana Clarkson as the lead, and more significantly the gorgeous Lana in what was for the time a breathtakingly erotic torture sequence with her stripped to her panties, racked, and breast tortured. Also stripped completely naked and sexually assaulted on said rack, if you could find an uncut version (I had to wait decades for that pleasure).
Sadly Lana is no longer with us (fuck you, Phil Spector) but on this 40th anniversary of a memorable outing please share your memories, stories, and tributes to a movie that gave dark and erotic pleasure so many.
HAIL TO THE QUEEN!

The first bits were boring, with the occassional boob falling out. Susanna Traverso getting her nipple painted by a California Muscle Head dude was about all I was expecting in terms of nudity. Then came the scene with the girl tied to the fence and I thought that was the highlight of the film.
The audience groaned as the movie continued. Acting? Meh, good enough for a schlocky storyline. I wasn't expecting Academy Award-winning dialogue. It was clearly a third-rate production and not much story to it; at least none worth speaking of, but the nudity kept my interest.
And then came Lana's big scene. In the dungeon. Unapologetic. Two big boobs on the big screen, up close and personal. Real personal. And it was a nipple-tickling torture dungeon. Oh Yeah! This movie redeemed itself with that scene. The rest of it is forgetable, but nobody can forget a big healthy blonde like Lana Clarkson stripped to her g-string and strapped to a torture table with a metal hand tickling her nipple. Memorable. A cult-classic moment.
Then the video came out for rental at the shop down the street. I couldn't get it home fast enough. I watched it enough that I pretty much had all of the dungeon dialogue memorized. "She still has nothing to say to us?" "She's a strong one." "You've broken stronger." And the kicker, to add insult to injury. "You don't know her, do you?" "No."
The DVD was disappointing. Upscaled with better clarity, but edited to remove the opening nipple tickle shot. Shame really. That part really made the scene work.

Ha ha. Our young(ish) minds didn’t dare to think, can that, could that be...a stretching rack?
Why yes it is!!
And that nipple “tickler”…minds blown. They wouldn't put that in a movie, would they?!
Re: BARBARIAN QUEEN 40th ANNIVERSARY
I have to say, I will forever be a bit jealous of those who got see Lana’s breasts being tortured on the BIG SCREEN. That first shot with the nipple pricker must have been mid blowing!skullchaser wrote: ↑Sat Jul 26, 2025 1:44 pm

I believe there is a completely unedited version on DVD if you can find it. Thank the gods for the internet, where we can see the full glory of that scene
Re: BARBARIAN QUEEN 40th ANNIVERSARY
Thanks for sharing! Your experience discovering this classic sounds similar to my own, minus being able to see it on the big screen. I was about to say I would have liked to have seen it on a big screen, but then I realized there is a reason I always, uh, watch it alone.skullchaser wrote: ↑Sat Jul 26, 2025 1:44 pmI was in college when that movie came out.
