Re: Pretty face( bondage )
While I am also of a generation that doesn't like tattoos much, I think it is important to consider why they have become popular. I don't "like" tattoos particularly on my porn models but I do "get" them. I had to figure this out 30 years ago because I wrote a character into a story who had a full tattoo body suit. I didn't really know why I had done that, she was meant to be a shocking and transgressive character. But I happened across a copy of the Re/Search Modern Primitives volume, and as I read it everything clicked. People who mark themselves, get piercings, and so forth don't see it as desecration. They are doing it because they get something very real out of it.
It's especially important to understand that Western European civilization is the outlier in this regard. Nearly every human culture of which we have any record has regarded tattoos as something of a normal fashion accessory. The people getting tattoos aren't the weirdos, we are the weirdos because we are squicked by something everyone else thinks is normal.
The Re/Search book was published in 1989, when body modification was just starting to peek out from the shadows. There is an entire essay about a person who wanted a facial tattoo, and his tattoo artist made him wear a temporary of it for a year before he agreed to make it permanent. Now of course facial tattoos aren't that big of a deal. Tattoos that are visible when wearing normal clothing were a big deal then, and aren't really now. In 1989 the company I work for would have considered visible tattoos an instant deal killer as far as hiring an employee. I work for the same people, most of whom are also my age, but now half my coworkers have visible tattoos.
So why do it? Body modification is about individuation and control. Within certain parameters most of us are born with the same body form factor and hardware, and we don't have a lot of control over it. We can't pick our skin or eye color or height or facial features or to some extent whether we're prone to being fat or thin. But we can pick the designs we have drawn on our skin and the hardware we wear as piercings. My reading and my experience talking to people who have gotten them suggest that body modifications aren't really about how other people will perceive them, they are about how the people who wear them feel about them.
Of course if you are a porn model your job is about how other people perceive your body, so that's suboptimal. But body modification is about self-image, and the ritual of changing yourself is a portal you transit from the old unmodified you to the new you with the decoration you chose consciously and with deliberation, not whatever that hack designer God decided to drop on you.
Of course body modification is like any hobby that can be taken, as most people would judge, way too far. But is having a full body suit or enough piercings to make it a life threatening experience to be near an MRI machine really any worse than having an entire yard full of half-restored classic cars, or a collection of ten thousand vinyl records, or *cough* hundreds of vacuum tubes which you know you will never actually use to build anything that works?
So yes, the part of me that is imprinted on a tattoo-free partner does find the explosion of tattoos a bit annoying, but there are frankly other even more annoying things about most bondage porn IMO. I at least try not to be judgemental about the girls whose choices in self expression turn out to be among those annoying things.

Yeah Edukator that's Insex model Inez. I have that video. While she doesn't have a lot of ink, she does have a small tasteful (?) tattoo beneath her navel that reads HATE ME. So I suspect she has some issues going on that go beyond the usual motivations, and it's at a level that is very distracting.

Yes indeed, very explicit:localroger wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 8:46 pm Yeah Edukator that's Insex model Inez. I have that video. And she has some more "decorations", including a pierced clit:

Another bondage veteran who would have eventually got a HoF vote from me, Christina Carter, for early Kink.
