Producers: Could one or more of you take a couple minutes to explain to outsiders how your business model works. Do you think up scripts and then negotiate with the studio for models, prices,and deadlines? After shooting does the studio send you the raw footage to edit into a self-contained video? Are you full time professionals or serious enthusiasts who try to earn a little money on the side.

There is some pretty hard stuff out there not from Mood/EP etc. Who produces that kind of material? Lastly my guess to expense $US would be somewhere in the very low four figures. Right?

I'm a hobbyist. I have a regular day job that pays the bills and my hobbies, such as editing stories involving BDSM. I used to write stories for BDSMLibrary to cure daytime boredom (just do a search on Thomas Chaser on the site and it should come up). Funny thing about that - writing is supposed to capture our deepest fantasies, but I could never get off on my own stuff. I think it's because I wrote it, read it, and re-read it so often that my writing lost its emotional impact. Then BDSM Library commercialized under Kink.Com and I sort of lost interest in it.

Discovering Cruel World and its affordable custom videos opened the door for me to get back into writing bondage stuff, except instead of stories it was scripts. Generally, I come up with an idea for a story that takes the usual trope and changes it slightly; the same thing but different. Sort of like how "Game of Thrones" took the fantasy epic of dragons and magic and broadswords and castles trope, added in actual historical events, and produced something different. Crucifixion, racks, whipping, electro... these are quite common. So, I came up with a way to do them all while dialing in a little bit of humor and a twist on the trope.

I noticed that Cruel World did a lot of things, but didn't have any medical. I can't say I'm a medical fetishist, but I wanted to do something that hadn't been done before. So, I wrote "A Very Strange Dream" after doing a test script "Rope or Money" with Alina as the victim. I chose her because she didn't look like the other Russian models. She wasn't blonde and thin and pointy-nosed. To me, she looked more Mediterranean. She stood out from the others. Plus, I have a thing for Italian women (probably due to Sophia Loren in "A Boy On A Dolphin" on the Saturday afternoon tv).

For my first video with Cruel World, I asked Alex about the process. It was pretty straight-forward (even moreso now that I've got almost 20 or so videos with him). I emailed him about the name of a particular model and my idea for a script. He came back with her name and his idea of how to construct the bondage restraint and a story. Together, we came up with "Rope or Money". I'm not a hanging fan, but I like the idea of a woman bound AOH and faced with pain and fear. Nobody dies in my films; they just pass out. This way, I can use that model again if I want to make a sequel, which is exactly what happened with Alina. I liked her performance so much that I asked about doing a sequel. Alex came back and said Alina was interested, and oh by the way, she has a friend and can her friend be in the movie, too? That friend was Anna, who I tested in "Rope or Money 2" and did the wonderful film "A Very Strange Dream". I go back to that footage from time to time because I loved their performances so much.

Speaking of footage, here's how that works. After I pay the money to Alex (or whomever he authorizes to receive it), he schedules the model. Each model's rates are set by them, so the rates will vary. Yes, there are models I've wanted to use, but their rates were too high. Others had schedule conflicts or were otherwise not available. Alex gets paid when he sells the video on his site. I just pay for the model(s). Once the model is scheduled, the filming is done, and Alex sends me a link to download the raw footage. He uses no fewer than 4 cameras and I get the footage from all of them. Downloading takes forever but it's worth having multiple angles because sometimes the view gets blocked by the actor or the movement of the model. The typical angles are straight-on for establishing shots, 11 o'clock level or low, 2 o'clock level, and 11 or 2 o'clock high overhead.

Once I have the footage, I put the segments into a video editor called "Wondershare Filmora", which was recommended to me by Miss Sultry Belle, who is a commercial producer. If its good enough for her, then its good enough for me. The software is amazing; cropping and zooming is super easy, and I can slow down or speed up the footage to accentuate the action, like a whip strike or a scream. I can change sound volume, mute the whole thing, insert transitions, whatever.

When I first started out, I would try to edit together the complete story the way I would want it told, like a bedroom George Lucas. Alex does his own editing and is usually faster than me. I don't sell my work anyway, so its not like a competition or anything. I just string a scene together and put it up as a sample for people, with a link to Alex's product. Now I've gotten lazy and I just pick out my favorite scenes and edit those in a bunch of different ways.

Probably the most difficult part of the process is the language translation. I don't speak Russian, so I have no idea what the dialogue is that the actors are saying. I know what my story is, and I can follow along with the action, so I just guess that things are going the way I envisioned. Sometimes Alex inserts some of his own creativity into a character, or maybe that's to keep the Clips4Sale censors from banning his/my stuff, but as long as I get 90% of what I want, I'm happy.

If her rate is too high or if she's not available, he will make a suggestion for an alternate model. Sometimes the promo pics don't exactly match the model's current look, but it's close enough. Anna is one that I almost passed on because she was too skinny - the typical anorexic looking model - but in the film, she's stunningly beautiful. She's one of those models with a very expressive face that works great on video but doesn't translate on still photography. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up doing commercials and mainstream acting.

Has anyone used the guys from Gory Crime House (darkroomspr@gmail.com) (Nicheclips)? Their actresses seem to be on the same level as flexislave, leggy, very pretty? Judging by the language they're out of Eastern Europe, maybe Russian?

I like their Quality Control; no breathing/eye blinking from a supposedly "snuffed" actress.

Google Translate only goes so far, but it helps. Fortunately, Alex seems to have a foreigner's grasp of English, as does White Rose. That's why I book her so much in my videos - she not only is a character actor, but also an assistant director on the set!

Story: This video takes place during the events of “Preparing for Surgery 3”; after Victim has been stripped BUT before Dr. Squalus performs surgery to drain Victim of body fluids. So, Victim is “fresh” with no scars. This is a video of one of the experiments Victim suffered.
Cast:
Victim – CRY
Evil Assistant – Alex
Scene 1: Victim is suspended in the air by her wrists and ankles in a vertical “X” (see picture). Victim is total nude, just like in "Preparing for Surgery". Victim is awake. Evil Assistant enters and listens to Victim’s heart with a stethoscope. Evil Assistant checks his watch and exits the scene.
Scene 2: Victim hangs suspended in the air for 5 minutes. Victim suffers and blacks out.
Scene 3: Evil Assistant enters and listens to Victim’s heart with a stethoscope. Evil Assistant lifts the Wartenburg Wheel, but changes his mind. Evil Assistant lifts a speculum with an electrical wire attached to it, but changes his mind. Then, Evil Assistant cleans Victim’s breasts with a body wipe and attaches electro clamps to Victim’s nipples. Evil Assistant goes to electro machine and turns it on. Victim jumps and wakes up. Evil Assistant removes the nipple clamps. Evil Assistant exits the scene.
