I allways have to come back to this! Found ist in a video rent store 1978.

The whip wraps and hits really. I searched a long time to find the actress. She is not in the cast, because she was a stuntwoman only for the whipping. Before that she had to act a very short scene to give a reason for the punishment.

I agree it looks quite real. Also towards the end I see red welts on her back which also seem to be real. Around this time when they draw welts they draw bloody lines which looked all so fake. But these red marks just look.like real welts

you saw what I saw.
And in a good copy there are some blue stripes visible. But I think this whip was built especially for the scene. The end is not as hard and sharp like the fall of a bullwhip. And the great sound is added later.

I like the scene because the flogging is supposed to be humiliating for the woman. The additional sadistic touch is reinforced because a slave whips the Amazon.
