Re: The News From Red Feline Pictures
The Coming Of Seditiosa
Thank you to all who remember and sent their best wishes on my Birthday!!
You must also know that both, Jac and I, celebrate the same birthday date. Yes, the 7th of October is my birthday as well as Jac’s but with 13 years difference.
Jac had all the intention of missing his birthday this time, so he could finish the job he was doing by Saturday evening; however, on Friday night, the 6th, he was dragged out of the house by his cousin to go to a club where Erix, Jac’s son, was performing. So he went. A couple of beers wont hurt, he told himself.
Next morning Jac got up early enough with a bit of a hangover, he not only had beers, he also had rum and not very little. As far as he was concerned, he had a good birthday celebration the night before, so he sat in front of his computer to get into the work; but then his family, led by his brother, dragged him out of the house to a huge family party they call Salteñada, where the main dish are some exotic and delicious meat pies… but there were tons of other food, and drinks, and cake, and candles and the party lasted ALL DAY, the last guests left after midnight. The party began at noon.
His brother had sent invitations to a lot of people with the theme Jac’s eternal 17 years.
Jac decided to work on the film all Sunday, but he had some issues that day too, people arrived to visit him to continue with the celebration … all in all, his entire weekend was dedicated to celebrate his new year on this planet. There were over 50 people at the party. Mostly relatives, but some of the regular cast and crew were attending too.
I’m not in the same city, so I did not participate in person. My bday weekend was more modest, with few very close friends and family enjoying food and drinks. But we called each other and participated in both parties by zoom. It was beautiful. But Jac was very dictatorial. He ordered me to take the weekend off, completely. So I did. I took the entire weekend off.
These are some of the people that went on and on until past midnight
We are in the middle of October and the tensions are very high where our incredibly dedicated Team of One is working to release Seditiosa.
There are intense discussions between Jac the director, Jac the editor and, most importantly Jac the producer who is wielding a heavy whip to make those other two work faster, particularly the editor, in whose hands the fate for the film rests.
At one point Jac the director, who was watching the work closely, said to the editor: That’s good, I think that’s good. Set it up so I can see it all together and process a clip of the one hour and 15 minutes part for me and work on the fine cut of the last 20 min post haste!
The editor looked into the director’s eyes reflected on the screen with a smirk on his face, and proceeded to do just that, without any promises, while the director wandered into other fantastic projects in his brain.
When the clip was done and was approved by the director, the editor passed it along to the producer for him to upload it to Vimeo so the uncredited Associate Producers, the initiators of the film could see it and render their opinion.
Jac the producer sent the link to me so that I could share it with the privileged two, who then had the chance to see most of the film without the benefit of color correction and sound mix which they understood.
I’m really happy to report that the film, or at least most of the film so far, made a great impression on its very first three viewers, one of those viewers was me. I will comment about my impressions in the future, all I have to say right now is that it looks amazing… ehem… to me.
In my experience, showing the film for the first time to people who are behind it can be stressful. Will they like it? Will they be disappointed? The reality in making movies is that movie directors cannot please everyone, not even themselves, ask Woody Allen.
Another reality is that the original vision goes through a thousand changes as the film is made, even during post production… and that can cause people to not be very happy with the end result. That’s normal and there’s nothing one can do about it. Some people will love it, some people wont.
Having said that and having watched the film as well, I have to say that I’m truly impressed by it all. So I share the feelings of the Privileged Two.
The whipping scene was the harder to shot and even harder to edit, so many shots were involved, so many situations, and there were so many difficulties that made Jac the director bitch and bitch some more. But I have to say that he pulled it off.
Early in his career, Jac learned that the editing of the film creates its very soul. It is the most important part of making a movie.
When Jac the editor was going over the footage, he bitched a lot more than the director. That’s a fact. He even blamed Jac the Cinematographer for all the problems he had putting the film together. Why is that stupid guy wearing a hat? He screamed at the cinematographer. Didn’t you see that? WTF!
The cinematographer did not respond, he was just as annoyed… there were many little things like that at times an the editor had to deal with them.
Some critical parts of what was already cut in the clip he saw, had to be cut again and merged into the last 20 minutes. A complicated task, the editor complained, the cinematographer did not shoot it with that in mind, he almost whispered under his breath, but he didn’t have to, he simply transmitted his thoughts to the director, very much aware that the cinematographer had total access to those angry thoughts. The director made me do that, the cinematographer was heard screaming from way back in Jac’s brain. The director wanted to blame the producer… but at the end just shrugged his shoulders
So, the editor got back at work, to comply with the director’s wishes, he was compeled to open his mind as he did for the very elaborate and intense whipping scene. He marveled at the mental suggestions the director sent his way. It is so obvious! the editor was heard screaming by the pigeons up on the roof and the cats on the couches in the editing room. He got very excited about the possibilities but first consulted with the cinematographer.
Those nice open shots with all six women on them will disappear, he told him. WTF! the cinematographer screamed from a far corner where he was working on some test shots with Ligia. But after hearing the reasons why those shots will be gone, he had to agree, reluctantly at first.
The editor worked on his idea, on an alternative Premiere Pro Timeline so as not to loose what he had worked on already. After cutting, here, cutting there, bringing that shot here, that shot there and eliminating those shots back there, he had something to show. All four of them, Director, Editor, Cinematographer and Producer, sat in front of the monitor, the big monitor, and all four in one person, though two green eyes, saw the new cut. All four of them said … Wow!
It looked that good.
Great, finish it and let me know when I can share a clip. Exclaimed the director and the Editor is working on that right now.
Meanwhile, the inside discussions by our team are interesting. Some think that the film should get a big release in movie theaters, that it will be controversial because of the subject matter, a female Christ, which has a strong feminist angle, particularly these days when the Nobel Peace award went to a woman who is in prison for defying the rulers in Iran and was sentenced to 154 lashes, apart from a jail sentence. I read a bit about that amazing woman and she’s very much like Yahel and Judith, facing practically the same kind of paradigm two millennia apart.
The theme of Seditiosa is both ancient and contemporary, that makes the film incredibly interesting and the way it is portrayed has the potential to attract viewers not very familiar with Jac’s work and it might very well reach a larger audience way beyond our fans. Having a theatrical release is becoming more and more an attractive proposition.
We are in the last stage of the project. We are working on the details of the release all this week. That includes de sound mix, color correction, title and credits, subtitles, and other little details. When that is completed we’ll process the master of the film.
Our plan looks like this.

Incredible stuff, Margot. The whipping scene was gripping, and the carrying scenes contain some truly stunning landscape shots.
The whipping scene was the harder to shot and even harder to edit, so many shots were involved, so many situations, and there were so many difficulties that made Jac the director bitch and bitch some more. But I have to say that he pulled it off.

After having the Associate Producers watch the film, at least 1 hr 15 minutes of it, and exchanging comments, with me, mostly, Jac took a good look at the film, specially the last 20 minutes, which Jac the editor had worked on for a couple of days, and decided, as a good director would, that there were some things that could be done to that last part of the movie to make it even more intense. This was a good morning! Viewed the film for breakfast with a good coffee. Great stuff M! I salute the project as a whole!

We’re thinking of a premiere type of streaming on October 31st, on Halloween, yes. As soon as the film has been uploaded to the platform we’ll send links to it to our supporters.
- At the end of November we will have the Official Premiere of the film at an International Film Festival and at a movie theater for its limited theatrical release, after that, the film will be up in our stores, platforms and so on.

Re: The News From Red Feline Pictures
The Light (Yahel) At The End Of The Tunnel
Yahel means The Light, at least that’s what some people say. An ancient name, of course, like all those names we are so familiar with, like Judith or Magdalena. Names that reached the farthest corners of the entire planet. You can find Judiths or Magdalenas in any part of our Shekina (Mother Earth)
It’s only fitting that our protagonist has Yahel, for a name. Jesus called himself The Light Of The World… in some reports, and that is how he is described in at least four of those reports and many epistles, and billions of sermons through the last 2,000 years plus. Yahel is the appropriate name for a female Jesus. Right?
That Light is at the end of what appeared to be, for some, a very long tunnel… not that long for those who know better.
And as Yahel the Light comes out of the tunnel to see the light of a projector, or the light of a gigantic screen, it is important to appreciate it for what it is, in all its beauty, and not for what it is not.
Yahel has a basic believe, Shekina, the Mother is the source of life, everything comes from her, which is at odds with those who believe in the invisible God. For Yahel there isn’t an invisible God. A subject that transcends to our days when in the words of Hubert Reeves, man worships an invisible God and massacres a visible nature, not knowing that this nature he destroys is that invisible God he worships.
That’s the basic believe that nurtures Yahel in her mission of healing and teaching others.
But Judith believes that Yahel should reveal herself to her people to led them away from the Empire and become their queen, because in the rebellious woman’s words: You come from the house of the Great King. A direct descendant of the great King and his favorite lover, Janai, a woman of great powers, one the them being a writer and teacher and master of the arts of healing, all passed through the ages to Yahel.
Magdalena, in the other hand, is vocal about them going away from it all, and dedicate their lives to write, read and teach. She contends that all that empty talk will lead them to a terrible outcome.
Jac had an experience recently, one he didn’t expect, that changed his attitude from working his ass under undue pressure to one that he prefers the most. The undue pressure he was working under demanded of him to rush the job, but he decided to do the work according to its needs and priorities and he worked with the sound without rushing, just working and working.
The sound mix, which is essential, and takes its own time, occupied Jac’s time these past few days. Some bits can be done in seconds, some in minutes, some in hours… One begins the work thinking that it is going to take one day and when the day is over there’s only 20 minutes of the film done. But maybe the next day the rest of the film will go smoothly.. but no. And it went on, maybe for another day, and another day… but before the week was over, it was DONE!
The adventure is going through the last technical efforts to make the film look and sound great. After the sound mix was done, he put his mind to the color correction of the film, to make it all look even. The harsh light of the location was a difficult thing to work with, thus the need to work on the image to make it all look the way it should. There are two main parts of that work. Making all the shots look basically the same, as far as exposure, contrast and so on, and then giving it a look. Maybe the way it looks, all nice and colorful, or maybe making it warmer, or colder, or in between.
But that job has its own time and problems. It can take hours, or days. So, a decision was made. To get the color correction as close to what Jac thinks should be and process a clip, to get a feeling of how it is going. And if that clip is good enough, to make a master to then make the version for a pre release. All that work is being done now. So the suffering continues.
If all that processing works out between today and tomorrow early morning, Jac will be uploading the film, the pre release version, to Vimeo, to then set it up for those early supporters to watch it, if they wish, and soon after it will be set for those who pre bought the film. I will have the details of this tomorrow as I get all the information.
During the rest of the week, Jac will be finishing the color correction, setting up the assets for Downloads and DVDs, setting up the trailer, and all that jazz for its official release, which might come sooner that expected.
During the coming month of November the film will begin its Via Crucis to reach the entire planet, one home at a time, or maybe two… maybe some crowds will watch it at the same time, maybe some will love it, maybe some will hate it, it always happens that way, but one thing is sure, Seditiosa will begin its very long journey and we hope it will be long and prosperous, like Maleficarum and Justine… maybe even better than those two already classics.
Our plan looks like this now.

Thank you LA Reine for such detailed comments. I don't think many realize how much thought and work goes into a major production like this one.La Reine Margot wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 7:53 pm The Light (Yahel) At The End Of The Tunnel

- We will be uploading a clip of the film for those who contributed to the IndieGoGo campaign and to our pre buyers, we will be uploading the film to the platform as early as TOMORROW. If all goes well, it will be a premiere type of streaming that will begin on October 31st, on Halloween, yes. The film will be available for viewing until the time it’s ready for its official release to the world.
- As soon as the film has been uploaded to the platform we’ll send links to it to our supporters. The details of how this will work is now under consideration.
And so, the end of this adventure is at hand. We all have grown a bit more with this experience, and before the week is over we will be already on our road to many more adventures, and there are many.
- Before the end of November we are planning to have the Official Premiere of the film at an International Film Festival and at a movie theater for a limited theatrical release, but at the same time that, the film will be up in our stores, platforms and so on.

Re: The News From Red Feline Pictures
Yahel about to take over the world
I received this message in my X page (formerly known as Twitter):
Jac went silent. So did I.
I had a few comments here and there and I received some interesting tidbits from Jac about his comings and goings which I’ll be sharing. Silence does not mean that things are not happening. We are as busy as ever, maybe even more and a lot is happening and in big ways. But there are also some very sad news. Chuqui, the star of many movies, like Sirwiñakuy, Pygmalion, 69 Année Érotique passed away on Tuesday, December 12th, at 10 30 in the morning. He passed in Jac’s arms.
When Jac announced Chuqui’s passing in FB the comments of support and condolences started pouring and for many days after that.
Chuqui’s passing happened two days after Jac received a brand new computer from New York. An amazing machine which Jac could not even think about because he was dedicating his time to make the last hours of his beloved 20+ year old cat more comfortable.
At around the same period of time, Jac’s brother arrived from NY, where he lives. The last days of 2023 were dedicated to a big number of family events. And with that, 2023 ended and the new year, 2024, began; but the family events did not stop. There were two birthday parties for Jac’s cousin who turned 82, that was early in January. Days later, Jac’s Aunt turned 95, there were three parties in three different days for that magnificent event.
For Jac, taking most of the time off, not all of the time, was a good thing to do. It was a vacation of sorts, after the stressful year that gave us two large movies plus a lot of other work.
Seditiosa is getting ready to go out in the world to impress people with its challenging story. All who have contributed, donated, pre bought it, have already gotten their preview of the film. Some have already commented.
Some recent complaints demand an explanation about why we have not released the film yet.
We’re getting ready but we must first have a good strategy that will find a large audience. We have to reach out beyond the three or four forums where we share our work on a steady basis with the few fans we have there.
The platforms where we are going to be uploading the film have their own requirements, demands and characteristics, we are working to meet them all. We can’t rush it as we did the production and most of the post. But, as Ligia said to Jac during a tea time moment, “even if you release the film in February, it’s still record time”. She’s right.
The production of one big film, Justine, was completed in December of 2015. The film was released in 2017, almost two years later. Seditiosa’s production was completed in July 2023, we had a pre release to our supporters before the end of the year, that’s 4 months later!
Someone commented that we should hire an editor to speed things up. Hmmm. An editor will charge around 1,000 dollars per week. A film takes at least 6 months to edit, a normal film. Some might take 9 months. An editor would cost around 4,000 a month. That’s 24,000 for a rushed editing job of 6 months. The entire budget of the film was less than 25,000. That’s why we don’t have an editor. Jac is happy to direct, produce, edit a film for a share of the profits, if any.
Until recently the work on Seditiosa was mainly technical, and it was going slow because of some unexpected computer problems which were solved when the new computer arrived from New York.
There were some private viewings with the main cast and crew, to get opinions, reactions and so on. Although the general consensus was that it was great, some pointed to those little details that are now obvious to us and the problems were worked on. All of them and then some.
A first design for the official key art for Seditiosa
The release of Seditiosa will be announced as soon as the strategy has been laid out to maximize its impact and all the materials are ready and looking great. As I said before, we need to have a plan and all the materials to fulfill that plan. That includes the film, trailer, key art and all the many assets needed to upload them all over the place. It’s a lot of work.
The one issue is… how far we want to reach and that is our principal concern right now.
Another big issue is that we are re-organizing the company. From the end of 2015, when Amy returned to the US to stay, all of the work fell on Jac’s hands and Jac’s alone. A huge documentary took most of Jac’s time in 2016, he managed to do some ‘small‘ productions between 2017 and 2018 with a limited crew and small cast. He also travelled to Europe to show the Doc he did for Nat Geo way way back. Then Covid appeared and all the work was limited to Jac and Dani and later Mila. A good number of productions. Then, at the end of 2022, Jac ventured back to larger productions with 69 Année Érotique and Seditiosa. Not an easy task and one full of stress, lots of stress and it’s not over. One comment Jac made to me was I think I rather turn my attention to rescuing cats and dogs, it’s a lot more rewarding. He wasn’t joking. Thus the need to reorganize, to see where will our big efforts go and what kind of films we want to make. One possible plan is to launch a streaming platform with all our films and maybe other films as well. The know-how is there, it costs a lot, but if it reaches a good steady audience it might be worth it and it might generate funds to make more big movies.
I’ll have more news later. BTW, there are times when I disappear for months and no one notices.

I received this message in my X page (formerly known as Twitter):
We’re not the only ones with delays in releasing new films. It appears to me that it is pretty much the standard for micro budget independent filmmaking. And I’m sure the micro budget for Run From Hell was way over 25,000, which is below micro budget in the industry… and so… our Via Crucis continues… but not for long.B305Productions Unfortunately, the complexities of micro budget independent filmmaking have meant a delay in releasing our survival horror movie Run From Hell in 2023, but we’re committed to delivering the best version of what everyone involved has produced. It rocks, can’t wait for you to watch it.

Re: The News From Red Feline Pictures
Closing cycles for new beginnings
Things were hugely complicated at the beginning of the new year, both, personally and professionally. Lots of things to complete, lots of new beginnings.
Shortly after the new year’s interminable events, Jac was able to get together with the principal cast and a few of the crew to watch Seditiosa in it’s – almost – final version.
The screening itself went well, some of the guests had some engagements after the screening so as soon as it was over and with not many comments, everyone left, almost in a hurry. Jac did not expect what came a couple of days later. Lots of comments from the protagonists about some shots and little issues that are almost undetectable, but they are there.
Dani made a list of things to go over. It was not only her list, but a list where many of those who watched the film added their little 2 cents. Dani became the spokes person for everyone.
Jac and Dani met to go over the film, bit by bit, examining the issues. Little things, like during a Close-Up shot at the beginning of the film, when Dani and Mila are lowering the trunk they carry to the ground… ALAS, Mila’s nail is painted blue! Jac hadn’t seen that and I doubt many people will notice, maybe no one, except Dani, maybe she has something about finger nails… but it’s there and it must be fixed. And like that one problem, many other little issues came up, like a close up of Simonne where her skin apparently does not look very good … stuff like that.
Jac began to work on fixing those problems but suddenly he felt he was saturated, he could not open the project and concentrate on it and it happened for many days. His saturation state was not only with Seditiosa. He tried opening 69 Année Érotique, but no, he couldn’t get into that one either. As if that wasn’t enough of a distraction, January was full of family gatherings to celebrate many birthdays and special events, lots of them. We can say that Jac took a forced vacation from film.
Beginning February, Jac went back to Seditiosa, to finally close it. He managed to get all the way to the crucifixion part, where many of the comments concentrated, he was about to jump completely into it when he received the news that Pygmalion was pre selected for the Premios Platino (Platino Awards). It’s like the Oscars for Ibero American movies. To be pre selected for those awards is huge, really huge. Suddenly our team is joining the likes of Benicio del Toro, Pedro Almodovar, Penelope Cruz… that kind of deal.
Jac took the rest of the first week of February to prepare all the materials requested by the famous awards. They included pictures of the film, pictures of the cast, 2 of each, trailer, Making-Of clips, press book, technical specs and most importantly, the film in a particular way. Jac had a deadline, Thursday, February 8th. He had very two or three days to do all of the work!
In the process of preparing and uploading the film, he discovered that Vimeo compresses the films we upload, and the Platino people needed the film in the highest bit rate possible. After many tries Jac had to open a Dropbox account to upload the 10 giga,15 bit rate film clip. Their reaction from the awards people was “It’s perfect“.
On Friday the 9th Jac was done with Pygmalion and waited until Monday to hear from the Platino Awards.
That Monday the news were great, Pygmalion was all set for viewing by jurors, journalists, film professionals and other VIPs attached to the Platino Awards… it means… great exposure for this great film.
https://www.veoplatino.com/VPla_Ficha.a ... 58&Ed=2023
But that was not the only unplanned work Jac was facing. Last year he was contacted by the people that run the very prestigious Anthology Film Archives requesting permission to show his first film, Krik Krak, as well as a good copy for the screening. Jac accepted the request and promised a good copy. Time passed and as the screening dates approached, he was contacted again about the copy. So, Jac had to spend sometime looking for the good copy, process it, upload it and so on.
The film was shown on the 11th and 19th of this month and it went well. To Jac’s surprised, they had some money for him.
After Jac completed all that exciting but stressful work, he was too craze to think of anything except his cats. He decided to take another few days off from film work.
The weekend began with Carnival and Jac decided to get busy cleaning house. Things that haven’t been touched in months. A mess. Plus he rescued a little kitty, Chiqui, before the weekend, while walking his dog.
Meanwhile, Mila’s son rescued two kitties, took them home with him but Mila was afraid she didn’t have enough space in her apartment for two cats and one dog, she has a nice big dog. So she begged Jac to take the rescued little, tiny, cats, you are the lord of the cats, after all Mila said to persuade him. Jac thought it over for a bit and decided to do it. The three newly rescued kitties are now part of what Amy calls Jac’s Cat Sanctuary.
The three new arrivals. Age of the three? 3 months or less.
We are past mid February now and Jac is, slowly, returning to Seditiosa, to finally release it to the world. We’ve been organizing the strategy for the film to have the best impact possible because it is very different to release a movie to a niche of supporters than to try to reach a larger market, It’s a whole different deal, it takes some time to get all the necessary work done.
We’re pretty much in full tech mode, checking stats all over the place to make sure our strategy works the best way possible. We can check stats of how many people watched our films, whether they saw the entire movie, or just half of it. Things like that. It gives us a very important perspective about how a film will do with a given audience in a particular market. There are too many details to consider because of the so many platforms we use. To give you an example, Justine has a lot more sales at Vimeo than anywhere else, while Maleficarum’s best sales come from Amazon. That’s intriguing to us.There’s a lot of data that we’re looking into as we prepare Seditiosa’s release.
Even with all the delays, Seditiosa will be released in record time, really. One thing Jac blames for all the little problems in the film is that he was rushing the post, not going over every little detail in every single shot, something that he now has to do. Still, in record time.
That’s where things are right now.
In the meantime, La Paz is going through heavy storms, which in a very odd way reflect Jac’s mood these days:

Re: The News From Red Feline Pictures
Seditiosa is at hand
Seditiosa is getting ready for its world wide Via Crucis. We were hoping to announce the release of this highly anticipated film yesterday, Sunday 24th, but the stage in which the work was at that moment did not allow for a sure date; however it’s all pointing out for this coming weekend, maybe even next Friday the 29th of March.
As everyone in the Catholic world knows, yesterday was Palm Sunday which, according to tradition, was the day when Jesus arrived in town and was received by an enthusiastic crowd. They were singing Hossana. Thus:

To announce the release of Seditiosa yesterday was going to be almost symbolic, even poetic, and we felt that it was a transcendent moment that had to have the song. We were going to sing it then, but instead we’re doing it now.
In the story of Yahel and her arrival to town, there are no happy crowds to receive her and sing for her. No, she’s met with hostility and all hell breaks loose at once.
So, no there’s no happy Sunday prior to the events that unfold in front of us and end with the crucifixion of those three beautiful and courageous women.
If everything goes well today and tomorrow, March 25th, Seditiosa will be uploaded to our stores and it will be ready for its audience by Friday the 29th. If we encounter technical delays, it will be up next week. But we’re working very hard to get it done before Friday.
We’ll have the official post of the release on Thursday.
Thank you.

Re: The News From Red Feline Pictures
The Via Dolorosa Ahead
Where do we go from here? That was the question in Jac’s mind as he was working the finishing touches for the release of Seditiosa. That question is, still, roaming in his head now, when he is busy getting 69 Année Érotique for a November release and preparing to start shooting four films in the next few weeks. There’s a lot of work on 69 still, not production, of course, maybe a couple of shots, but rather a really complicated work in post production.
That film is in what can be described as a first cut, better than a rough cut, but not quite a final cut. But the movie is all there, all 2 hours plus of it, the entire story with everything. Beto saw that cut and he was so impressed that he can’t stop talking about it. It’s a weird film indeed.
But that’s not the only project brewing in Jac’s production house. There are a bunch of films in post. One of them, now in the post production stage is CruXtreme V – Playmates.
The Playmates and other films were shelved when our team embarked in the production of two huge feature films, the very complex 69 Année Érotique and the story of a female Christ and equally complex and far more costly, Seditiosa.
The female Jesus film took most of Jac’s attention last year, during the fundraising, script writing, producing, editing, all of it in less time that it would normally take to produce such a story that involved lots of people, far off locations, period costumes and props and more.
As Seditiosa went in production, 69 Année Érotique was also in production but it was shelved as well, for all the time it took to work on the shooting of the story of Yahel, the young, beautiful woman that wanted to write, read, heal people… and live in peace; but ended up sentenced to died on a cross.
69, the stream of consciousness type of film, where, the making of a film, as it was with Pygmalion before and this time it is Jekyll And Hyde‘s turn. The film, kind of a sequel to Pygmalion, goes into some intriguing and erotic in a truly sadistic way moments not found in the book. There are still some shots needed for that film and a lot of work in post production. The plan is to complete all that by the end of September and prepare its release in Europe and the US in November.
Now that those two time-consuming films are either released or getting ready for an international premiere, we can go back to the shelved movies, all four of them, where a lot happens to the two leading ladies, Dani and Mila.
The one going through post and to be released next is CruXtreme V – Playmates where Dani and Mila share the interest of Monsieur Jac for Xtremely sadistic good times of love on the beat, sex, lots of flogging and much torture, in that order.
We are also lining up a few films in Pre Production. Of those many movies, there are four about to be produced one after the other. Each centered in one of our courageous and committed actresses. These new films will be like a rehearsal for what is to come when the weather gets a bit better for our damsels in distress to be taken to a far off location where they will suffer the pains of nasty crucifixions. Each beautiful victim will star in her own nasty crucifixion story and each will experience a different style of crucifixion, one more painful than the other or the other way around. All of that in Roman times, of course, and the stories will be painfully linked.
But, for now, the suffering ladies are going through some very nasty rehearsals in preparation for the new productions.
Because of all the immersion of all senses, all the worries, all the attention to details that took to produce Seditiosa and 69, all the way from pre production through production and the post production of both films, Jac was somewhat saturated. It is not easy to produce two large films simultaneously.
However, we did precisely that a few times, one of those times we produced three large budget films, Maleficarum, Barbazul and Les Marquis de la Croix simultaneously. Jac directed Maleficarum, Amy directed Barbazul and Le Marquis. The difference is that Jac and Amy worked together in those films, sharing the responsibility of directing, producing and working in the post production. It was a little easier.
But for the new projects Jac had to deal with everything all by himself and it was very difficult. So, when the main production was over he took a break from that enormous back breaking efforts but without really stopping to work, just not as engaged as he normally is. That slowed down our output.
We’re returning to the hectic and filled schedule of days past, that includes producing many films, working our promotional work, and returning to a prominent role in social media, Patreon and the websites where we promote.
For some time our Patreon site was neglected, because of all the reasons above and more. We’re returning there with a blast. We’ll be showing the progress of the new films with exclusive clips from the rehearsals, the shooting of the new movies, clips from the past, and a full movie or two. In the up and coming post there we’ll have a never seen before clip of Dani Suffering The Rack during the pre production of Monxa Mala.
I’ll have more news pretty soon and very often.
