5... count them... FIVE contributors would like to keep this going and going and going some more.
We raised the amazing amount of 79 dollars, that's a pretty number. 100 would be prettier.
Kidding aside, we do need to raise some cash for the expenses that are coming and will come this year.
One reason we need the extra cash is because the site has grown and it will continue to grow. The FORUM alone is already a huge enterprise; it runs uninterrupted and intensely.
We, and by we I mean
Red Feline Pictures, are keeping it going and we will continue; however, one selfish reason is, of course, the promotion of our work hoping, or perhaps expecting, that many of our members will buy or rent our films. Unfortunately our records show that most of our sales and rentals come from elsewhere. I'm asking our tech people, or person, or persons, to send me the data so I can share it and prove my point.
And not only that, the people here do not seem to be interested on what I post so I do not feel encouraged to do so. In fact, I'm beginning to be less interested in posting altogether.
Regardless, the point I'm trying to make is this. We're putting money and effort, a lot of effort, to keep the
GIMP site and
FORUM going in a healthy and strong way and we need a bit of help,
just a bit, just 1,000 USD for the entire year.
I don't think that's a lot of money, it's not even a months salary of a tech person, or the lunch expenses of yours truly for the entire year.
A film director charges that much for a day's work at 1980's rates. An actress charges that for a couple of days work. And so on.
We won't get rich if you donate to our cause.
The GIMP site will get going strong and will get better all the time.
