'cause it looks more attractive to me.

That's a common bit of feedback I've gotten over the years -- "but, but, but ... women did not look like that or wear lingerie in the Middle Ages!!!!"

You could conjure up a story how Playboyesk women find their way to some deranged collection of monks... but it's not the backstory I hope to depict with my art, it's the circumstances of the moment, the poses of the characters, and erotic appeal of lingerie or other props that enhance the image for me and draw the viewer to the image.

With my Inquisition collection of images I am not trying to depict real or fictional life in the Middle Ages or reflect an actual Middle Ages torture session, as that would involve depicting the death (and likely dismemberment) of a Middle Ages woman -- you know, diseased, dirty, anorexic women, with a pox scared face, hairy armpits and genitals, and stringy hair that has not been washed for a month or so. That's not particularly attractive to me or one of the erotic fantasies that I seek to depict with my creations.

Lingerie just makes the model look better in my humble opinion...
