A myth comes to life*, great pics. Thanks for them and the clips. (*There seem to be two schools, re the pear. One postulates that it is all a myth and a fabrication of feverish 19th century minds. The other believes it was really used. Anyway, it doesn't really matter when it can contribute to what seems, in this case, a great scene.)

That depends how one imagine the Inquisition. Either a bunch of sexual sadistic deviants/rapists or ascetic zealots touched by messianic complexes who made their personal redemption the success of saving the soul of the accused, even if through an autodafe ...

True, a dungeon where the rape was punishable by instant decapitation (as in Spain) and the victims were keeping their clothes on (there's a documented case in Westphalia where a woman suspected of witch craft wasn't given the customary tour of the dungeon to scare her into confession because she might witness male prisoners shirtless, a sin to be avoided in those times). Yeah, historical accuracy is not very inspiring for us, the merry pervs.

So realistically there are 2 schools in the same way there are 2 schools of thought about vaccines, nowaday. One based on repeatable findings of the scientific method, other based on apocrypha of social media.
