Martial Law 4 movie has a complex plot with many scenes and many characters.

Here I’d like to describe only the episode I like more, I mean the completing of the sentence imposed to Lyen in Martial Law 3: one hundred and fifthy lashes on the her back.

In this episode we see the last fifty strokes. It’s a pity that Lyen didn’t endure the whole punishment in one round only.

In an old interview Lyen stated that she could not believed she could withstand up to one hundred and fifty blows on her back in a continuos session, but likely she could go over 100.

The players of this scene (starting at 10th minute of the movie ) are three: a wonderful, beautiful and whip-pain-woman the strong Lyen Parker, a mighty cruel and sadistic Ariel and a CASIO-clock. Yes the latter (a watch worn on future “The Host” ‘s wrist ) is on foreground, and in perfect focus, for half of the round.

Well, in this round we see again the rough leather of the whip, swung by Ariel at crazy speed, versus Lyen’s soft skin. Who wins ?

Lyen's wonderful back and bottom, gradually striped by the whip, and the silent, but no longer icy executor like in ML3, Ariel, put this round is those to be watched in a neverending loop mode.

There are no breaks like "repeat the number!" "I did not hear you !" "bitch, you hit my thumb !" "no, it was not your thumb, it was your little finger !" and phrases of this kind present in all recent productions. No, relax yourself and enjoy an uninterrupted and erotic flagellation of a spectacular woman back.
Let’s start.

You don't see, as in ML3, how executors bond Lyen’s arms, so the victim is already tied up at “Y” shape when the whipping starts. Old good rough ropes are tightened around her wrists, pulling her arms in tension.

If someone thought that to gag Lyen, as in ML3, was a additional torture for the victim and so an additional pleasure for the viewers, was wrong. The screaming at the top of her lungs, the continuos sobbing between lashes, the rapid trembling breathing that you can hear in ML4 from the Lyen’s free mouth are here priceless.

On the other side look at Ariel, she expresses her silent sadism by first choosing with her eyes the exact area of the Lyen’s body to hit, then rotating shoulder and torso with maximum speed to inflict maximum impact force to the whip and eventually she opens the face expression in a sadistic smile listening to Lyen's screams. In the following pics sequence you can see what I mean. Great. Isn’t ?

Since from the first blow, which wraps Lyen's right side, Ariel shows her cruel will to hurt the stretched woman as much as possible.

Ariel does not start slowly and then in crescendo, no she is lethal since first whip.
So the red stripe of the first violent stroke starts from the middle left of the back and reaches on Lyen's right ribs, almost to the abdomen. No doubt, it hurts tremendously. You can appreciate this first mark visible on Lyen’s body for the whole duration of the film.
Lyen has no time to gradually get used to the pain, as happened in ML3, no, she suffers at most immediately. Since from first stroke she screams shameless.

2..3…4…5…6…lashes

Lyen’s breathing is shaky and labored after the screaming, and she keeps her eyes closed in anticipation of the lashes. Her head snaps up at each blow.

7…

Famous Ariel’s whip-swing falls on Lyen’s back at seventh stroke.

8…

The eighth stroke is printed on the bottom.

Before the ninth lash, Lyen twists his arms in an attempt to find a more comfortable position. The movements of the back muscles are highly erotic, highlighted by the lights that enhance the shapes.

9..10..11..12..13…14..lashes

Enjoy Lyen’s opened wide mouth screaming. None is like her.
The flagellation continues methodical.

The 15th is right in the middle of her back, Ariel knows she hurt and smiles satisfied.

The 16th stroke is devastating, listen carefully to the snap of the whip hitting the skin. The Lyen’s resulting scream is proportionate to the pain.

17… 18…19…20… the screams increase in intensity because the red skin stripes begin to overlap. The breathing is much labored.

The head now is always low on the chest before the next blows.

I recommend enjoying the 21th and 22th lashes because Lyen screams for a long time, the blows should be particularly painful.

From 23th on her screams are even longer and she is forced to raise her head to breathe and to scream. Lyen's hair unravels into locks that sway for the blows. Very nice.

25th…terrible.

Lyen is constantly moving her back to hold herself up.

The scream after the 34th whipping is long and lasts until the next blow.


35...36, the back is now almost entirely covered by purple stripes. The whip from now on always overlaps previous lacerations. Very painful.

37th hits the upper back, note the movement of the left shoulder as it rises after the stroke.

Head is low waiting for pain again. Ariel grinds her teeth for the effort and hits with a movement of half step forward and turning the shoulder thus increasing the power of the blow.

41th in the middle of the back
43th and 44 fall on the kidneys
45th falls up in the middle of back


46th beautiful movement of the right Lyen’s shoulder, which was violently hit.
47th Lyen writhes with his head down and the strands of hair swaying.

Oddly, there are no more close-ups of Lyen's back as in ML3. For the last blows Lyen can't keep her head up, she is forced to snap it back only when she gets hit.

(note: I eliminated the “host” and his clock from the pictures I posted, they marred the beauty of the scene)

After the completion of the punishment, she is cruelly placed on the ground tied with her left arm only pulled upwards.
Imho Lyen’s whipping deserved more attention to details by camera, the back is never seen closely to appreciate Ariel’s “artistic whip-painting”, and the camera framing, very often, puts Ariel in the center and Lyen comes out in the right of the screen. Even the final deposition scene is too fast, a good idea but too hastily accomplished.


Anyway the Lyen 50-strokes-punishment lasts only thirteen minutes but they are among the most cruelly erotic I have ever seen. This round gives value to the entire movie.
