Emerald Slaves of Habachtal - The Widow (2021).

The first film introduces us to two of the main characters in this four-part series, The Window (Lovita Fate) and The Madame (Tiny Tina).

These two actresses are fit for their role and can speak English decently, so ok.
The first image informs us that we are under a castle in Eastern Europe where young and beautiful girls are used to extract emeralds from a mine and, of course, as sex slaves.
A parallel montage begins showing us the slaves working in the mine, while one of them (Cayla Lyons) massages her mistress, The Madame, naked.


Then, The Madame has one of her slaves (Rebecca Black) whipped by one of her guards (Jenny Wild) because she thinks she has stolen emeralds.
While Jenny as a cruel guard is perfect, beautiful and ruthless, I found Rebecca underwhelming. She showed the face of someone who doesn't quite know where she is.


The flogging scene is, as always, one of the weak points of BH movies of the last few years and I'm sorry to say, the flogging scenes get worse with each movie, instead of getting better.
I don't expect the realism of "12 Years Slave", but come on, at least you go and review what BH did in the past.
The Collector's Edition 2 is dedicated only to the flogging scenes, it would be enough to look at it and try to redo the scenes as in the past.

Now there are two lesbian sex scenes, or rather, the scene continues with the slave (Cayla Lyons) massaging The Madame and obviously a sex scene also between the guard, Jenny Wild and the slave, Rebecca Black.
On the sex scenes, nothing to say, the actresses are all pretty good. But I don't understand the psychology of the scene, Rebecca was just tortured by the guard and is she happy to fuck with her?
You could at least show that she was forced to try to avoid more lashes, this would have made the scene more exciting. For example, as in the second sex scene (also here between a guard and a prisoner) in Slave Tears Of Rome Part Two. It is always non-consensual sex, but erotic and non-dramatic.


The film then shows us the arrival of The Window (Lovita Fate), the evil stepmother of the film, who after talking to The Madame, receives from her, as a gift, her slave girl (Cayla Lyons) for fun.

The last scene shows us The Window whipping first and then having sex with the slave. Not bad.

As the first of four parts the film works well, but I still feel a lack of attention to detail. I understood that the budget is very limited, but for example: THE EDUCATION OF ADELA and THE EDUCATION OF ERICA showed care and interest in both the story and the scenes.

I also have the problem that I approached BH many years ago in search of lesbian bondage movies. Currently it looks like the movies are just lesbian porn with some rare bondage element. The scenes of the slaves in the mine are only hinted at, even their face is not even seen. Just out of curiosity, so you pay the actress less?


It is a question of showing cruelty, even if only as an attitude of the mistress and guards. In the first part, but also in the other three, everyone seems horny and ready to have sex. But shouldn't slaves be at least frightened?

And about the slaves,why no chains on wrists or ankles, no brands on the butt and signs of whipping on the back?

Come on, this is cheap make - up, a little effort, please.

Hi Pincus,
I did read your review , I appreciate the care and time you have invested in it. I can say that for the most part I agree with you. BH is shooting right now, so I cannot really ask them anything ( 23 +hour days etc...), but after the 8th of October I will talk to them and give you more feedback, hopefully right from "the Man" himself.

It took me a while to get close enough to have a discussion about your review with the creators of the movie. I have brought up ALL your points and indeed you were mostly right. Here are the excuses ... ooops explanations:

1) It is more and more difficult to find quality models and yes, even in Prague. Not only pretty and suitable, speaking at least basic English, but also those who are NOT excessively tattooed, "enhanced" by various surgeries and Botox ( boobs, lips, asses etc.) and" brooms" for eyelashes. In the Habachtal series there were from 12 models contracted 4 "no shows" on the day. A huge " reshuffle" of roles had to be made on the day to actually have an ongoing story. Over the years there was always an occasional " no show", but usually legit reasons, but not like now where all 4 rather stayed at home and sticking things into themselves on OF platform. Hence a good observation from Pincus: some guards also had to also play " headless" miners and vice versa. BH will never hire the "ugliness" seen elsewhere.

2) All the whipping scenes are done by the same props and in the same style. That did NOT change over the years. But FX Make Up person changes from time to time and it takes a while for this person to get the right combo. Continuity script person had to be dropped from budgetary reasons. That also does NOT help the situation.

3) Over the years we have two trends of criticism. One: not enough lesbian sex and Two: not enough whipping and other "GIMP stuff". Sometime a hard choice..... the choice is also dictated by the current political correctness and all what goes with it. This situation likely will not change.

4) ... and it does NOT take a degree in economics to understand that what did cost a dollar 5 years ago, costs two dollars ( or more) now. Yet the costs of buying the movie did NOT go up. As an example a model 5 years ago worked for a day for about 300 Euro, today it is 600 and half of them still do NOT get out of bed. So we pay more for a lesser quality. Thus something sometimes ought to give, yet BH is and will maintain the overall quality and integrity of its movies .
