What I actually remember are some of the newspaper ads that used to run for movies playing at places like that, such as the ads for the Eve Cinema on Bloor near Bathurst. There were ads for flicks such as the Ilsa movies, where you could phone a number to hear a recorded message that provided salacious details.

I think the Metro theatre on Bloor Street was the longest survivor in Toronto. Meanwhile, it appears adult cinema is still alive in Montreal.
