Lisa Kinkaid Interview - November 2, 1999

Lisa's first GIMP board interview

a) How did you get started in the ZFX films?

Lisa: A friend of mine who worked for Rick at the time told me about it and I needed money so I decided to try it.

b) What do you do to prepare for a film?

Lisa: Well, I try to get the next day off or clear so I can rest because I'm really exhausted afterward! Obviously I shower, shave my legs, trim my bikini area stuff like that. Put on makeup. There are a few things I do for the movies that I wouldn't do otherwise appearance wise. In case you haven't noticed, I always have tan lines!

c) Of the films you've performed in, which would you consider to be your best work?

Lisa: I would have to say Seed.

d) Which would you consider to be your most difficult scene(s)?

Lisa: Hmmmm. They're all hard! Probably something I just did. They hung me over a washtub filled with water hand cuffed and winch me into it head first upside down. I was getting a ton of water up my nose! Also the first whipping scene (in Beyond Driven 3: Suffering of Stephanie Renford) I did it was so hot in the warehouse and I was so nervous I hyperventilated, but it was ok. They put me by an AC unit till I calmed down.We waited till it got later and cooled off, then finished the movie.

e) How much input do you have in making a shot/a film/a script?

Lisa: Well, I do my best to put up a good fight and make the right sounds. I make suggestions about positions and Rick uses them sometimes. The scenes have to be worked out before we start. Most of what we do is ad lib though Rick has some sort of loose plan and occasionally even written dialogue!

f) When not making films, what else do you do for a living - acting, dancing, clerical, student, sales, etc.?

Lisa: N/A

g) What scene would you like to shoot or re-shoot?

Lisa: Haha! None of them! Actually the dialogue stuff is really the toughest and sometime I wish we had more time to do more takes.

h) Do you plan to ever try making your own films some day?

Lisa: I don't know, I would have to say no for now:).

and finally...

i) If you weren't acting, what would you rather be doing (i.e. what would be your dream job. Us guys usually say "astronaut, cowboy, pro athlete, rock star, king of the world")?

Lisa: How about President Kinkaid! You did say dream job!

Ok, there you have it, straight from the source. This was done on a lunch break, so the answers are kind of brief, but she did it out of the goodness of her heart, so I ain't bitching. She did not wish to disclose her occupation.
