The ZFX classic Mincemeat Pie is one of my personal favorite ZFX movies, made back in the mid 1990's when Rick Masters was at his most prolific, often putting out a dozen titles a year. A lot of fans consider this period to be the Golden Age for ZFX, and with good reason, considering the high number of quality titles and the talented cast he assembled during that time period. And this movie is a good example of that.
This one features an all-star team of ZFX villains, in fact, arguably the 3 best ZFX villains ever...Bryan Dunhill, Jon O'Brien and of course, Rick himself. Throw in Chandra Sweet in her unique role as the sexy girlfriend of the bad guys who enjoys terrorizing innocent women just as much as they do, and you've already got a formula for success.
Then, of course, there are the victims. Say what you want about Penelope Pace's super-sized fake jugs, there's no denying she's one of ZFX's best actresses of all time, just a dynamite performer in whatever role she was cast in. And there's also an actress named Lisa Kinkaid who appears in this movie. Perhaps you've heard of her.
Unfortunately, the movie starts off on an unrealistic note, as one of the bad guys (O'Brien) is brought in to see the female detective, played by Lisa. He's chained and shackled, so Lisa decides to...get this... tease him by opening up her top and stripping down to her garter belt, attempting to get him to look at her, knowing he's helpless to attack her. Talk about throwing credibility out the window in the opening scene! She tries to get him to talk about his previous crime, which the bad guys had videotaped and is now being used as evidence against him.
 
That segues us into the main story, where the huge-chested blonde Penelope is tricked by her friend Chandra into coming back from work to Chandra's place. Inside awaiting them are the 3 Southern rednecks with nothing but mayhem on their mind, and Chandra's in on the plan, too. One of them has a video camera, and they tell Penelope they're going to be making a home movie tonight. They try to loosen her up by giving her moonshine and a few hits off a joint, but she's clearly uncomfortable when they start groping her and make sexual comments about her body. It doesn't take long for her to call them assholes, which just gives them the impetus to take things a bit further.
Masters starts by roughly holding Penelope down and ripping off her skirt. She fights with him but she's clearly overpowered, and the rest of the men and Chandra just laugh and making leering comments about her while this is going on. At one point, Masters runs a line around his victim's neck to help subdue her. And he takes her skirt and gags her with it, tightening it along the side of her head.
 
Masters then takes control of the camera as we get a cinéma vérité documentary-type feel of the goings-on. The "live" feel of the proceedings makes it seem less like a movie and more like an actual real recording of a girl's ongoing horror and torture. That was a great directorial choice on Masters' part as it adds to the intensity of the action.
"We're gonna have one hell of a party," Dunhill tells her. "We're gonna get it all on tape so you can watch it over and over and over again."
"That's if you live!" Masters chimes in, bringing a huge laugh from the attackers and making Penelope visibly wince.
It's that kind of interaction that is the real strength of this movie. The "rape party" atmosphere in this film is totally infectious. It's clearly ad-libbed, but it's by 4 very talented veterans of bondage films that know exactly the right things to say to give the film a sadistic and threatening edge.
"You know what's gonna happen to you, don't you?" Masters tells her. "We're gonna fuck your pussy, bitch. We're gonna fuck you in the ass, too."
"And in the mouth!" Dunhill interjects. "And in between those fine titties you've showed everybody all night!"
They spank Penelope's ass and force her to suck Chandra's nipples. Then the struggling girl has her wrists tied behind her with black tape. Chandra lays on the floor and spreads her own legs, and Penelope is forced to give her oral sex while the men continue to berate her while spanking her ass.
 
They stand Penelope up and decide to take her to the "playroom", a makeshift torture dungeon. Chandra pours some chloroform on a towel and shoves it into Penelope's face. "Nighty-night, darlin!" she coos as their victim goes limp. Dunhill picks her up and carries her out the door.
 
The gang prepare the unconscious girl for some fun and gag her with a ballgag, which causes Masters to comment, "Man, there's nothin' I like better than the sight of a big ol' red ball in a sweet little bitch's mouth!"
They hang Penelope up so that she's suspended horizontally by her wrists and ankles. At this point, she begins to wake up, and thrashes around as O'Brien licks her pussy. "You can struggle all you want now, darlin', you ain't goin' nowhere!" Dunhill tells her.
 
They work Penelope over by spanking her, attaching clothespins to her nipples and making her suck a dildo. Masters takes a break from running camera and hands it off to O'Brien so he can get more in on the action. They tie Penelope's legs even wider, then take vise clamps and attach them to her pussy lips. She also gets both her ass and pussy filled with a rubber two-headed dildo. Then they put both ends into her mouth and make her suck on her own excretions. Finally, they stick the ballgag back in her mouth and walk off, leaving her alone to violently struggle in her suspended state. My, she is one energetic actress.
 
When they return, they tie Penelope in one of my favorite bondage positions, the inverted "Y", where she is bound arms over head with her legs spread wide apart and tied in that position. Still ballgaged with her naughty bits exposed, she looks great and totally helpless like this. She is then subjected to a typically violent and harsh ZFX-style whipping, with O'Brien and Dunhill dishing it out from both sides and Chandra watching and masturbating over Penelope's abuse.
 
Then we cut back to the beginning of the story, with Lisa and O'Brien. All this time they've been watching the filmed bondage movie together, her while in a state of half-nakedness while he remains chained up. Detective Lisa openly criticizes him over his crimes, but he's unapologetic, saying she deserved it. So Lisa gives him a taste of his own medicine, beating him bloody with a rubber nightstick. (Stripping for a prisoner and then beating him? Honey, this is NOT normal police procedure. She probably would have been fired for this, that is, if she didn't look like Lisa Kinkaid.)
After the beating, O'Brien agrees to sign a confession. He asks to have the cuffs removed so he can sign the papers, and Lisa stupidly frees his hands. Uh oh! Once the cuffs are unlocked, he lunges at Lisa, grabbing her by the throat and then tightening her beaded necklace around her neck until she passes out.
 
When we see Lisa next, she's tied to an office chair with electrical cord. Her hands are tied behind her and even her tits are tied up. O'Brien sticks the nightstick in her mouth to wake her up, then forces her to suck it until she coughs. Then he tears off her panties and stuffs them in her mouth to gag her, wrapping a phone cord several times around her head and mouth to tie them in place.
 
With her pussy now exposed, O'Brien gets to work on filling that, too. He shoves the nightstick up her snatch and fucks her with it. Lisa's painful moaning through her gag definitely enhances the scene.
 
And O'Brien isn't finished. In an ingenious move, he ties the nightstick inside of her, affixing the cord around her legs so that if she moves them, the nightstick will continue to penetrate her. To add to her pain, clothespins are added to her nipples and pussy lips, and, in a final humiliating touch, her own badge is placed between her bare breasts so that her fellow co-workers will find her that way. He escapes out the door, leaving the tape running so Lisa can watch more of the further tortures they inflicted on Penelope. But unbeknownst to Lisa, he's also added an explosive device underneath her chair. What will become of poor Lisa? I'm not gonna tell you, but the story is continued in the sequel.
 
As mentioned before, the best part of this movie is the dialogue from the villains. Today's producers who think that dialogue isn't that important should compare their best works to something like this. It's a lot more powerful (and fun) experience watching a movie where the actors are clearly into their roles and having a good time playing the bad guys. Then you've got 2 lovely actresses doing great work as victims and of course, the type of rough bondage and torture that ZFX is known for, and it's no wonder this one works so well. For those of you (like me) who bemoan the lack of quality bondage offerings available today, take a look at this one again, now remastered for DVD. Or if you haven't seen it at all, you'll discover a real hidden gem and find out why ZFX has a huge legion of fans. It's a winner.
