After seeing Hostel 2, I noticed some similarities with Jeff Gord's Room 237. Three female travelers check into a hotel, get kidnapped one by one and are then tied up and tortured. The differences are that Gord doesn't use blood, the women all live and there is more tension with Room 237 ... in the pants of the viewer that is.
Before the action begins, we get a mission statement. Gord, a sex slaver, is to acquire a big-titted brunette, a voluptuous blonde, and a flexible redhead.
Jewell Marceau, looking good in a business outfit, enters the hotel. A light flashes under the key for room 237 to inform the front desk clerk that she fits the bill.
Once in the room, Jewell undresses to her black bra and garter belt. She goes to the closet, opens the door and gets chloroformed and dragged in.
Next up is cute redhead Claire Adams. In Room 237, she strips to her black undies and decides to brush her teeth in a black thong. And why not? But the lights in the bathroom don't work, the door mysteriously shuts, and then we hear Claire scream.
A stuck up married chick signs in at the front desk, but she is sent to a different room, since chicks with husbands in tow are of no use to Gord.
Thankfully, in her place, hot blonde Petal Benson signs in, strips down and takes a bath. She's a true beauty but I really could have done without the nipple studs and that huge tattoo on her thigh. The entire bathtub slides through the wall in a really cool scene.
Petal is next seen naked and unconscious on the floor, with Jewell and Claire hogtied, bit-gagged and tied to a wall side by side. Gord swiftly ties up and gags a groggy Petal as the others are mmmphing with good close-ups of their gagged faces.
The women are packed in large closet-like boxes and loaded onto a pickup.
At the House of Gord, the Master and Lady Serena unpack Petal and admire the merchandise. Gord puts a metal collar around her neck that's chained to the ceiling and forces her to stand on a metal sheet. He unties her but she ain't going anywhere with that inescapable collar. Gord orders her to put on a shiny suit, but Petal throws it down. Bad move. Gord flips on a switch and the defiant Petal gets electrified. She screams and claws at the collar while hopping around. Wisely, she puts on the outfit. At least it covers up that huge tattoo. The collar is removed, and she is put in a leather armbinder, hood, inflatable gag, leather collar and head harness. We can still see her beautiful eyes that give a convincing look of fear.
Petal is taken into another room and strapped down in a hogtied position on a gurney. A metal gadget is connected to her shackled ankles and the top of the head harness. The device, when switched on, pulls Petal's head back, holds it in that uncomfortable position, and then releases it. The process is repeated over and over with lots of great moaning on Petal's part.
Claire is next shown in a full body stocking, ballet-bondage shoes and Japanese-style ropework. She is tied sitting on a wooden board, her legs wide apart, arms secured behind her back and attached to a pulley so she's in a strappado position. She is also wearing a deliciously large black ballgag. Gord puts another rope around her Claire's neck and ties it though some screws on the board so she is bent with her nose just inches above the surface. After leaving her there for a couple of minutes, Gord returns and unties the rope around her neck. Is Gord getting soft on us? No. He puts a nose hook on Claire that is secured to the pulley chain. She is left looking like a pig.
Jewell, sporting her black bra, garter belt and that evil metal collar, is on the metal sheet. Gord tells her to take off her clothes, to which she replies, "Go fuck yourself, you pineapple." Pineapple? Pineapple!? Gord obviously does not appreciate being called a fruit, so he turns on the switch. After much jumping and screaming on Jewell's part, she finally gets her undies off. Gord gives her some more juice and her naked jugs bounce around nicely. She is forced to put on a transparent latex outfit, ballet boots and corset.
Ballgagged, Jewell is secured to a human-size guinea-pig wheel. Her legs are cuffed and she has a chain crotch rope (crotch chain?) Then she is forced to start walking while squealing nicely through the gag.
Back to Claire, who is now tied AOH. Gord lifts one of her legs up back so that the ballet shoe is at the height of her head and tied securely to the pulley. She sort of looks like a figure skater in that position, although I have yet to see any Olympians wearing a see-through, crotchless body stocking on the ice. The bit gag is reinserted and tied to the heel of the shoe. Good thing she's flexible.
Poor Petal is still getting the "strictest hogtie" treatment. While still strapped to the gurney, she's packed into a box and ready for shipment.
We see Claire still in the figure-skating position, and we get a glimpse of her shaved pussy. She has two pussy rings, which Lady Serena locks together to prevent the staff from having fun.
Claire is brought ballgagged to the spacious garage. Gord shows her Nakita, who is trapped in an incredibly small wooden round box. That's the future for Petal, but first she must be trained. She is strapped so her back wraps around a big wooden spool. Spokes are put in place above her body on the edge of the wheel and then the wheel is turned and wrapped with plastic. She is rolled out to the pickup.
Gord leads Jewell, now with a hood/mask, to the garage where there's an open box waiting. A metal strip is placed over her neck and screwed into the box. Her legs, bent under her, are strapped into place in a nice frogtie. Her body is then strapped down, and Gord fondles her latex-encased breasts for good measure. He unzips the crotch in the latex suit to expose her shaved pussy. The box is hoisted up so that Jewell's upside down, pussy-side up. The doors to the box are drilled shut, but the drilling doesn't stop there.
Two rather long dildos are inserted one by one into holes at the top of the box. The one for Jewell's pussy slowly slips out through the top of the box and Gord slams it back in with his hand. As he gropes around for the drill and screw, the dildo again oozes out. He finally drills the dildo into place, and does the same for the anal one. Although we can't see Jewell, I loved this scene. We also hear her scream through the gag at the right moment (when the dildos supposedly make contact.)
The box is then put on the pickup. Another satisfied customer.
Overall, as usual, Gord's production values are top-notch. The camera work and editing are excellent, although the music was a bit annoying. The women were hot, and their acting very passable. (It helps that they were tightly gagged for 90 percent of the movie.)
Gord's twisted and creative mind is also at work, and not only with his bondage work. Room 237 was also the room number in The Shining and the first Hostel movie.
If I have one big complaint about Room 237, it's the tattoos on Petal and the body piercings. I know the tattoos would be impossible to remove, but the body jewelry could have been eliminated to give the women more of an innocent look.
Rape aficionados and GIMPers into heavy whipping and brutal physical punishment will likely be disappointed, but that's not the audience Gord is aiming for.
If you enjoy Gord's work, this is must-see. For me, like Gord's sex-slave operation, Room 237 delivers.
