As a first-time director, Darkroom has style to spare, but unfortunately, that's one of the problems with his first attempt at making a bondage film. He employs gimmicks that take away from the action onscreen, such as randomly jump cutting between two different film stocks, which is often quite jarring to the viewer. And even worse, he actually cuts off the audio in several places throughout the film for no apparent reason. The editing, plain and simple, is a mess. It distracts greatly from the overall content of the movie, which is a real shame because there's so much good stuff here to enjoy.

I was especially impressed by the 2-minute introduction, in which we see a lone male figure walking alone, with the voice-over explaining that he's the one you call to take care of whatever problems that might need solved, whether it be a girlfriend with a wandering eye, a wife who won't put out, or a big-titted chick at the club you have your eyes on. His job is to do whatever it takes, and she'll learn her lesson by the time he's through. That's really all there is as far as any type of storyline. You very briefly see him grabbing a girl, throwing her on the bed and lashing her wrists behind her. From this point on, she'll be in for a rough time.

When we finally get our first good look at the female victim, we see that she's a lovely young lady with long brown hair, tied off behind her back. She's already been tied to a chair, her mouth is duct taped and we see her struggling frantically as two men with pillowcases over their heads cut her clothing right off her body.

Her bra is removed, exposing a very impressive pair of big, jiggly tits. These are funbugs of the very best kind, and her captor knows it, too, since he spends the next several minutes squeezing and slapping them, roughly pinching her nipples and enjoying her pained reactions through the gag.

Then he finds a length of rope and decides to tie those big puppies up (Yes!). But unfortunately, the director spares us the fun of watching her tits actually get tied; there's a freeze frame and then the deed is already done, which feels like kind of a cheat, but maybe that part was cut to keep the action flowing. With her generous breasts now tightly bound and discolored, he continues his assault on her chest, at one point loosening up her hair from the back and allowing her long locks to sway and flow around her bound tits. She looks extremely hot with her hair down, but it's just a tease because he ties it back behind her a minute later.

What follows is the best scene in the movie. He adds to her torment by using several rubber bands to "sculpt" her tits, placing the rubber bands at various points along her titflesh, until by the end, her tits look like thick sausages extending from her body. Her captor then leaves her alone to suffer while he goes out to smoke a few cigarettes, knowing that her tits will be hurting even more by the time he returns.

After he comes back, he continues with his assault on her tightly trussed mammaries, and there's a wonderful camera angle from down below that shows how red and engorged her breasts have become. Fans of tight breast bondage (that would be me) will be very impressed.

When we see her next, the ropes have been removed and she's now tied to a different chair, with her hands tied behind her and her legs opened up and spread wide, her ankles corded to the side of the chair. Her bare pussy is exposed and vulnerable. The tit slapping and mauling continues, but now her captor has a new target to play with. He opens up and stretches out her pussy lips and follows up by giving her several slaps down below. Then there's some pussy-hair plucking, simulated but still nice. He follows that up with a bit of light pussy smacking with a wooden ruler.

The finale features the bad guy plugging in an electric battery charger and touching the battery cables together several times, producing a series of sparks in front of the terrified girl's eyes.

He touches the cables to her breasts and her nipples, interlacing his shock torture with a few well-placed smacks to her face, a nice touch.

He shocks her directly on the pussy and finishes up by taping the cables directly on her inner thighs and supposedly turning on the power and watching her squirm. She emotes extremely well, although the illusion was unconvincing, IMO. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the animated sparks and sound effects that ZFX employs when they do electro scenes, but it just seemed like something was missing. A very nice try, however.

With a final slap to her tit, her captor tells her "Good night, bitch" and exits the room, leaving the suffering girl behind. His job is done.

When he goes to work on his second feature, let's hope that Darkroom learns a few things that he did wrong with his first try. Number one: if you have a female performer who looks this good and acts this well, just turn the camera on and let her emote. There's no need for artsy-fartsy editing tricks and techniques. All this does is distract the viewer from the whole reason we bought your movie for in the first place. In other words, we don't want to see you direct, we want to see her suffer, get it?

Number two: If you really want to reach for the stars and take your film to a higher level, cast a villain who can act, and let him give a performance. Obviously, the focus was on the victim in this film, but some nasty wordplay from the bad guy would have given this a lot more of an edge. Other than the voice-over narration at the beginning and the final "Good night, bitch" at the very end, not a single word was spoken. It's not a fatal flaw by any means, but it would have improved things a lot.

What was done right...basically, was everything else. The lead female, played by Andrea Richards, gives a first-classic performance. She's got a killer body, great hair, fabulous tits and she plays a victim as well as anyone I've ever seen. Her muffled crying and whimpering is a real turn-on. She is, quite simply, the reason to see this movie. Either cast her again or else send her my way and I'll come up with some nasty new tortures for her. We'll see if she can take it.

The content and the ropework is also very well done. The breast torment scenes are excellent, and of course, it's the female performance that really sells it. There's definitely a lot of good stuff here. Could it have been better? Absolutely. Is it worth the price to purchase it? Again, absolutely. With better editing, this could have been a tremendous first feature. As it is now, it's still a worthwhile buy.
