Today we will examine The Perils of Jane in the Green Inferno, Episode 2. Run time is 56 minutes. It stars none other than our own Jane von Detlefson. It comes with trailers from other productions. I obtained my copy from Red Feline at the link below. We begin with the opening credits as an unconscious Jane slumps in the bonds that hold her to a tree. Wearing tattered and hiking boots, topless, sporting welts. In the upper right is a small screen split showing various snippets from episode 1. Enter the villain stage left. He releases her arms and lets her drop into the muck and mire below. He drags her by the arms through the morass. She lays unconscious for a time, comes to and crawls through the mud and vegetation. The villain grabs her ankles and drags her face down back to a structure with a verandah. He binds her sitting, wrists behind to an upright column. A drizzling rain is almost constant through the production. He removes her hiking boots and produces a flexible riding crop. He places a small construction block under her feet and grabs her ankles. Thus begins a foot lashing. Grabbing her toes he lashes her socks to tatters until they hang loosely from her ankles. The lashing continues, alternating between her tootsies and breasts. Once enough welts are produced the villain departs as Jane ponders her circumstance. When he returns he releases her and leads her away. She limps along as best she can. He places her on the edge of a 2 foot high masonry planter and binds her wrists behind with a waist wrap. It split screens for a front and rear view. She totters trying to maintain her balance. He plucks a twig from a nearby hibiscus with two purple blooms and puts it in her mouth. He lashes her until the twig drops out. He pulls her down and prods her still bound through the muck with more lashes. She is taken to another section of the verandah where she is retied arms stretched to a cross beam and standing on an old log. He pulls down her shorts and lashes her backside. This was shot in a Spanish speaking area as a door into the structure reads "Bano" :-). She is whipped into unconsciousness and slumps in her bonds. He releases her to retie her facing forward and gets rid of those pesky shorts. In his absence she struggles to find comfort. Upon his return her frontside now gets the lash treatment. She sags unconscious again, a mass of welts. To Be Continued Movie Pluses - Jane makes a convincing victim, great facial expressions - and no ink, no piercings, no boob job and how refreshing is that? - the setting with all the greenery is quite nice - thought the camera work excellent and tho no dialogue the background score atones for that somewhat - and the constant drizzle made for a rather dismal setting even tho outdoors. Movie Minuses - when Jane receives her foot thrashing her legs are not secured to anything and she simply kept them in place and took it - thought that stretched credibility a bit - I assume the villain is JJ and would like to have seen some glee and zeal in his dishing out the torment - he responded rather like an automaton just going through the motions. The Verdict - while not quite as high on it as Falstaff I did find it quite a good view, enough so that I want to see the other two episodes - perhaps this outdoor scenario with no dialogue would not work for some but it did for me for what that's worth.
