I want to chime in with my review of the Natasha's Bondage Sex DVD, a show that has been getting a lot of mostly negative reviews here so far. Actually, I don't think it's bad, especially for a freshman effort. They should be encouraged to keep at it.
In taking a look at the type of videos Natasha Flade has been putting out in the past, which appear to be mostly Harmony-style bondage plots with apparently no sexual content, this new DVD is a revelation, and a positive step in the right direction. What we have now is a series of vignettes, each around a few minutes long, that show the lovely Natasha in a series of bondage positions, in which she is either given forced sex or else made to suck cock. They succeed on that important level, although there is definite room for improvement. They've proved they can do the bondage sex right, but the camerawork is relatively basic and they badly needed a handheld camera that would bring us closer to the action. The first bondage sex segment, for instance, runs over four minutes with no cutting at all, which can get boring after a while, despite the content. The next segments improve upon that with more editing and close ups. It's like an experiment, and the filmmakers are learning from their mistakes.
Hopefully what Natasha and Isaac will learn from this first foray into making a sexual bondage film is NOT to nix the plot, which is needed to give the resulting "rape" scenes more impact. They've certainly got the right performer, because Natasha Flade is a beautiful woman who can emote, and she looks really hot bound and gagged. The male performer, no doubt her boyfriend/lover, needs to give a bit more force in his performance, but otherwise, he plays his role adequately enough, with just the right touch of threatening dialogue.
If Natasha and her crew remake this film, which they certainly should, one suggestion would be to add a storyline, show some onscreen tying and possibly shorten the number of bondage setpieces, or else end them with more finality. What's missing in my mind, what I was really hoping for, was a "money shot" or two, especially during the oral scenes and at the end of the final bondage segment. As it is now, I was left feeling a bit let down that there was no payoff, like having a half hour of foreplay and then just stopping. The ride is nice, but the movie basically plays like an extended version of the trailer that can be downloaded at their site, without really showing anything more.
So a mixed review here, and here's hoping their second effort at this sort of film will add the two elements missing from this one, the setup and the payoff. It's still great to see some hardcore bondage sex, which is hard to find in today's political environment, especially with a performer as appealing as Ms. Flade. Let's hope they learn from this effort and strive to make it better next time. And there will be a Part 2, so that's something to look for.
