First, the parrot-perch scene. This one is a vast improvement over the one in Martial Law 3. Of course, it's a special treat to see the lovely Lady Ariel bound in such a humiliating and helpless position. I wish rather than beginning immediately with the shock torture, there had been a wee bit of dialogue first, just to build the tension. And moving the cameras back a little bit further would have made for better framing, I think. But these are quibbles - overall, it was very well done. It goes by much too quickly, but watching it at half-speed helps to alleviate that. Pedro, I sincerely thank you (and Ariel) for this scene, which appeared to be done largely at my request. It's really, really, cool of you to listen to and take ideas from your audience the way you did here.

Second, the two brief scenes featuring Ariel naked and bound AOH style. I don't think it's possible for anyone to look more gorgeous in that position than Ariel. I loved the idea of Ariel waiting like that alone in her cell. The prison folks have taken her cellmate away to be whipped, and she knows they will be coming for her next. I found all of this to be EXTREMELY EROTIC - easily my favorite part of the movie.

While I enjoyed the intense flogging of Lyen early in the movie, I am somewhat disappointed by the scene that probably everyone here was most looking forward to: the flogging of Ariel. And it's all because of how Ariel is positioned and bound. We don't get to see either her boobs or armpits. Pedro, I totally get what you were saying yesterday about not wanting to film the same sort of whipping over and over again. But when a gal has armpits and boobs like Ariel, frankly it's impossible to give them too much screen time. Besides, dancing boobs and the possibility of the whip biting deep into an armpit (even it doesn't actually happen) are two elements of a whipping scene I find most erotic. But anyway, besides that it was very well done, as usual. I certainly did appreciate the tears on Ariel's face. Also the way she fell to her knees for the last few strokes.

I have to ask, Pedro: what happened to the aftercare scene with Ariel? A preview pic was even posted here a few weeks ago. Did you discover something wrong with it during the post-production work?

I recall you saying after Wheel of Pain 22 that Ariel likely wouldn't do any more movies in which she suffers, because she much prefers to make other suffer. I'm very glad she changed her mind. She can keep playing the dom in movie after movie if she wants. But precious beauty like hers needs to suffer now and then too. Hopefully you have her fully convinced now.
