I don't know why or if I need to bother describing what the movie is about as I think everyone, everywhere pretty much knows. Victims get abducted, put in some sort of torturous device and either end up dying if the can't find an escape, or escape but end up maimed in the process (with very few exceptions).

Anyway, a main subplot in this edition is where a nurse gets kidnapped to tend to a dying Jigsaw. She is put in an explosive harness around her neck that is linked to the heart monitor that is attached to Jigsaw. If he flatlines, by natural or unnatural causes, her harness explodes.

Anyway, let’s get down to the meat and potatoes as they say. There are mainly three Gimp scenes here. The first is a minor one where the nurse (played by Bahar Soomekh) is tied to a wheelchair and cleave gagged right after she is kidnapped.

The second, is the major scene, where a naked victim (played by Debra McCabe) is tied AOH in a freezer. She is then sprayed periodically with water adding to her predicament. The scene goes on a long time (minutes) and shows her from various angles including full nudal frontity (as old Archie Bunker would butcherously say). Really a nice segment that I was surprised that I didn't know about (seeing how popular the Saw movies are).

The third is basically a flashback to when Shawnee Smith has her device placed on her.

Entertainment wise: After the first Saw it pretty much is all downhill as far as I'm concerned. The first was kind of novel, but now, the same thing over and over. Early in the film the police find the body parts of a victim who wasn't able to escape his trappings and exploded. From there we get to see a flashback of what happened to him. He is attached to chains with huge metal O-rings looped through his skin. In order to free himself he needs to literally pull himself free from the rings, causing great pain and big chunks of flesh being pulled from his body. So basically, since we already know what happened to him, and thus no tension, it was all done for gratuitous gore.

Plus Jigsaw is gurney-ridden in this one due to his terminal brain tumor. How the hell do the victims get abducted? I know Shawnee Smith is his accomplice, and capable of rendering victims unconscious one way or another. But you gonna tell me Shawnee is gonna lug around 200+ lb. male victims? And even if she could, is she going to construct all those huge or elaborate devices/traps? I don't think so. Plus I'm so sick of hearing “I want to play a game.” Grade C-/D
