This Jess Franco movie opens in what looks like an oriental-themed brothel, with naked women walking around and couples in various stages of undress doing carnal things in dark niches. It is announced that the evening's highlight is a whipping, and a girl wearing a one-piece red lingerie thing and black shear pantyhose is flung onto the middle of the floor. She writhes around on the floor as a big bald guy wallops her with a whip. While the whipping is going on, we focus on inane conversations between the dissolute guests. I would have preferred the focus to remain on the whipping, of course.

After the whipping, the club manager, Sheila (Raquel Evans), gives the whip guy permission to have his way with the girl, so he kneels down, rips off her clothes, and falls on top of her. As the guy proceeds to rape her there in the middle of the floor, the guests order more champagne or get it on between themselves. When the rape is done, the guy gets a round of applause and the naked girl is dragged out by one leg.

We get an atypically brief Franco travelogue montage to establish the location, then we are introduced to Ron the hotel manager who is screwing Betsy (Ursula Buchfellner), even though Sheila thinks Ron is her boyfriend. We discover that Betsy has a sister, the titular Linda, who is coming for a visit. Sheila walks in, breasts and beaver bared, and catches Betsy and Ron in flagrante delicto. Sheila is not pleased, which is a bad thing for Betsy.

Later, Ron tries to tell Sheila his sex with Betsy was just a "roll in the hay" and didn't mean anything to him as Sheila rolls languidly around on the bed wearing a black top and thigh high black hose but no panties. The top comes up and off and Ron goes down and in. A whipping and two sex scenes and we're only 11 minutes in. Is this a Jess Franco flick, or what?

Sheila arranges for Betsy to be framed for stealing $2,000 from a hotel guest as punishment for screwing Ron. Sheila's henchmen tie her up and threaten to burn her breast with a lit cigarette. Ron rescues Betsy and sends her away, but the henchmen intercept her. Poor Betsy.

More random naked women in full frontal nudity, as well as naked guys. Betsy is brought in and told she is now working as a whore for Sheila. She tries to escape but they bodily pick her up and carry her off.

Intro Linda (Katja Bienert), who is 16 and has been staying in a convent and is now "going out into the world." You might think you know how that works in Jess Franco movies, but not this time. Linda says goodbye to her roommate, who is lounging naked on Linda's bed and proceeds to kiss her. Linda stands up and removes her dress. Her roommate stands up and removes Linda's panties. They return to the bed. Extremely hot carpet munching ensues. Apparently, Linda is not as innocent as she first appeared.

Back to Betsy, who is naked in a glass cage in the middle of the brothel floor. She appears to be drugged. Everyone watches her writhe around in the glass cage. Sheila tells Ron she is holding Betsy in the brothel. They go to the club and some guy is in the cage with Betsy, who still looks drugged. When she catches sight of Ron, however, she calls for help and starts struggling. The guy she's with starts getting rougher with her. Ron walks out.

Linda arrives and of course no one meets her, but she meets up with a nice guy, Juan. When she calls the club, the bad guys answer and tell her to come by. Linda has a premonition she should leave, but does not. Meanwhile, Betsy is being held prisoner in a room with bars but a terrific view of the island.

Lots of nude Sheila, including a nude back massage by two nude babes, which turns into a front massage that ends in sex with Ron while the two nude chicks join in.

Back in the brothel, Sheila puts on a show in the middle of the floor, surrounded by naked men and women. Betsy gets herself a customer, and it is confusing just what role she is supposed to be playing. It would be so much better if she played the victim, but she does not. We get another show where one topless chick is tied AOH while another chick cuts her belly, then drops to her knees in front and strips off her skirt, the goes muff diving. Betsy screams and runs out. The henchmen give chase.

Linda is still hanging out with Juan. They frolic naked in the surf, and end up having sex on the beach. The carnal kind, not the alcoholic kind.

Ann, one of the whores, sneaks out and tells Ron that Betsy is being held prisoner. Ron goes to the brothel in search of Betsy. Betsy has been taken to a basement and chained to the wall, where she is going to be taught a lesson by poking her with long sharp leaves. Her breast is uncovered and poking commences. Betsy screams.

More nude Sheila, lounging around on her bed. Ron confronts a nude Sheila and orders her to tell him where Betsy is. However, Sheila seduces Ron, who thinks with his dick, and releases her pet scorpions, which are about to sting Ron when suddenly Ann runs in and shoots Sheila, then steps on the scorpions. Sheila and the scorpions die. Ron rescues Betsy.

Juan takes Linda back to the airport, and on the way they run into Ron and Betsy. Linda returns to the convent. Ron and Betsy live happily ever after. Juan and I are both wondering why this movie was called Linda.

SUMMARY: One mediocre whipping scene, followed by a mediocre rape scene, although dragging the chick out by one leg afterward is pretty cool. One bondage bared breast threatened with a lit cigarette. One lengthy naked hot Betsy trapped in a glass cage while everyone watches, and someone actually has sex with her, although she doesn't struggle so it is hard to classify as even a mediocre rape. One floor show with a naked chick tied AOH while another chick cuts her then goes down on her, which comes off as altogether consensual. One torture scene with a bare breasted Betsy, chained to a wall, having her breast poked by long sharp leaves. There is also lots and lots and lots of incidental nudity from not only all three principle women stars, but a whole host of other hot chicks.

I am definitely confused as to why this movie is called Linda when Betsy is the one being threatened, imprisoned, raped and tortured. Linda just plays tourist and lets Juan pop her cherry. But putting that aside, I grade this a C- for GIMP. Betsy's breasts come awful close to physical damage on two occasions, and Ursula Buchfellner is a very pretty and nicely endowed actress. As far as non-GIMP goes, this is an awesome parade of hot naked women, including Raquel Evans and Katja Bienert. Well worth watching for just the sex and nudity.
