A Bring Out the GIMP (Girls in Merciless Peril) Movie Review
Deadly Weekend (Zellwood)

So I'm here again with another review of a low-budget horror flick, this time Zellwood, which is known as Deadly Weekend in Japan, featuring one of the sexiest women in the world, Sara Underwood. Caveat emptor for this review -- this is the type of flick that I absolutely adore, cheaply made horror trash that tries to have some real nastiness. But is has a great Gimp section starting in the middle of the film.
The film follows two couples -- the smoking hot Sara Underwood (Katie) and the almost as hot Patricia Rosales (Brittany) who, along with their douchy boyfriends, are going on "one last trip together" before they split up. They are going to spend a weekend camping in the woods. In addition to camping, they hired a local named Bo to take them on an air-boat ride. Bo seems like a decent chap, giving our heroes directions and helpful hints, all the while being a good father, playing hide-and-seek with his darling teenage daughters Zoe and Abby, who help him out with the family business of giving tourists rides on his air-boat.
The four kids go camping and, as it typical for these types of flicks, the guys act like douches and the girls look hot. After some DRAMA, the two douches end up fighting each other. Eventually, Brittany's boyfriend Ryan ends up dead by an unseen assailant (yay!). Meanwhile, Zoe has come to take the kids to the boat ride. Katie and Brittany tell her that they'll need to cancel, since the two boyfriends are not there (Matt, Katie's boyfriend, tramped off and although we know Ryan is dead, he's just missing to them). Abby shows up and the two sisters join Brittany in looking for Ryan. They find the spot where he was killed, and Zoe and Abby tell Brittany they should just all go back to their house and call the police.
So the group of them are just about to the house, when Matt, being the douche he is, pushes Abby down, which makes Zoe pick up a stick and whack him on his head. She says, justifiably, "He pushed my sister and I got scared!" They finally get in the house where the girls serve iced tea, and after a couple of minutes they start to get groggy and it becomes apparent that Zoe and Abby are not quite the sweet girls they appeared to be since Katie, Brittany, and Matt all pass out while the girls smile evilly.
And now we're to the good part. Brittany is tied to a chair and Sara is hogtied on the floor where she squirms and struggles, all the while showing off her amazing abs. Zoe and Abby then come in and start to torture Brittany by pounding nails into her and just generally being nasty until she passes out. Katie responds by struggling and squirming and yelling at the girls.
The girls respond by leaning down and telling Katie that they do this because they enjoy it. Katie responds by squirming and struggling. The girls then tell Katie that what they have planned for her is much worse than what's happening to Brittany and that it will last a very long time, and that she won't be so pretty after they are done with her. Katie responds to this news by squirming and struggling and crying.
The two girls then go back to Brittany, who they wake up and get right back into the torture, including ripping of a fingernail and making her eat it and finally slashing her stomach with a hedge-clipper and pulling her guts out. Katie, bless her, responds to all this nastiness by squirming and struggling and screaming.
The girls lean down and tease Katie a little, until they hear that Matt has escaped so they leave to take care of him. Katie spends the time alone -- you guessed it -- squirming and struggling and screaming. God, I love this movie.
The girls go out and back a couple of times to subdue to boyfriend which gives Katie plenty of time to, sigh, struggle and squirm. Finally, she gets free (drat!) and runs out.
That's the last of the bondage, but Katie does spend the rest of the movie in some legitimate peril until the end. And spoiler alert -- alas, we never get to actually see what our precocious girls had in mind for Katie.
Look, as I said, I love these types of flicks. It's poorly made and poorly acted (except the girls, who are actually a little creepy). The Gimp-age is pretty good and Sara and Patricia are so hot they melt the screen. We never see any nudity, but plenty of skimpy, tight outfits. And any movie that has long scenes of Sara Underwood in a skimpy outfit squirming in a hogtie is alright by me!
For me B- for the movie and a solid B+ for the GIMP-age.
Not available in the US, but I found it at CD Japan
