Hey guys, quick Mainstream update/review.
There is a new straight to DVD flick called The Cell 2 . It has a much better plotline than the original as far as Gimpers are concerned. It stars Tessie Santiago who you may remember from "Queen of Swords" and "Good Morning, Miami". She is a true Latin hottie. In this movie she is trying to get in the mind of a psycho who kidnaps women, kills them and then revives them. As part of the plot she evidently had escaped him a year earlier.
All of the scenes are victims tied to a chair. The other victim is Aimee Walden who Tessie is looking for in her visions. The first GIMP scene we see Aimee strapped to a chair and the psycho suffocates her with a plastic bag. She's wearing a basic dress (fairly short) she wears the whole movie. After she suffocates he gives her mouth to mouth and revives her.
The next scene is a flashback with Tessie tied to a chair and the killer injects her with a nerve agent. She shakes violently and passes out. He then injects her with something else and she revives. The next scene is Aimee again strapped to a chair, the psycho shocks her with heart paddles and then shocks her again to revive her. The next scene Aimee is strapped in and given electro shock, the psycho increases the setting until she screams. Then the power goes out.
The final scene is Tessie, but it is interrupted by her rescuer. There are also numerous blink and you miss them scenes. All in all, a pretty good mainstream effort. If the victims would have had less clothing it would have been must see, as it is the victims are attractive, they sell it, and the scenes are reasonably long. I'll give it a B-.
