I can help out anyone who's interested in knowing more about Tortured Prisoner. As an old Threat Theatre customer myself, I can tell you that Todd (who ran the company) was notorious for renaming movies if he thought it would make them sell better. The actual name of the movie is Woman in the Box: Virgin Sacrifice. It is an old favorite of mine, too. In fact, this was one of the movies that got me hooked on Japanese bondage in the first place.
The movie was put out by Nikkatsu, one of the pioneers of Japanese bondage cinema, and starred Saeko Kizuki, a real cutie whose best known film is Entrails of a Virgin.
I think the movie is entertaining from beginning to end, filled with rape, torture and even has a believable storyline that's easy to understand even if you can't speak Japanese. And I was pretty much shocked when I saw the scene on the beach, where they slowly drain the blood out of her veins. Here she is, weak from a lack of blood, and what does the guy do but take the blood and start gulping it down! I knew then that this one was special.
My only problem is that the optical censoring is overdone. Instead of the digital mosaic that the Japanese usually employ, this one had large pink dots over the genitals, which draws attention to itself and away from the action onscreen. This was from 1985, and it was first movie that Nikkatsu released in their "Harder Than Pink" direct to home-video collection, hoping to launch the world of Japanese bondage into American homes. They thought the home video market would allow them to get around the Japanese censors, but no such luck. To me, that's the only flaw of the movie, but I would still highly recommend it.
