Anyone seeking an introduction to the much-discussed Giga movies would do well to start with Super Heroine Close Call 13. Yuna Shiomi stars in this flick as a sexy detective from outer space -- she fights, is tortured, and suffers sexual exploitation and humiliation in a movie that is wonderfully effective.

Certainly, the film has a certain cheese element to it. The fight scenes aren't convincing, the lead villain is a ham (this is obvious even in a foreign language) and many of the costumes look like they were lifted from an old episode of Doctor Who. But we'll let the sci-fi geeks worry about that. What counts are the GIMP moments and in this film they are compelling.

The fun starts when Yuna is captured during an outdoor fight scene. After knocking around some villains dressed in zebra-striped masks and body suits, Yuna is overpowered and suffers some knocks. As villains hold her arms, one guy gives her some kicks to her stomach and Yuna (who is wearing a helmet with a visor) also receives some punches to the head -- not entirely believable, but not bad. She collapses against a pillar and a gun is pointed at her head.

Now a captive,Yuna is next seen indoors, trapped inside a large roof-high cage with three male villains (the guys in the zebra-striped outfits). The helmet is gone and Yuna is wearing a sexy, skin-tight white costume with white gloves and white boots. The villains are holding Yuna by the arms in a standing position and feeling up her excellent body. Yuna, who is pretty cute (although her teeth are a bit yellow), does some terrific acting in this scene. She squirms and grunts and protests as the villains paw and lick her costumed pussy, tits, legs and ass. Yuna looks truly disgusted as two guys start licking her pretty face and one guy forces kisses on her, including running his tongue along Yuna's clenched lips. Even though Yuna's fully dressed, there are some amazing wide shots of Yuna wiggling and struggling as her face and body are licked and mauled.

The lead villain -- a guy with long hair, a funny big-toothed mask and a blue suit (he looks like he could be from a Bill Zebub movie) -- shows up and Yuna demands to be set free. It's a great moment -- Yuna's defiant demands are made as the villains continue running pawing Yuna and licking her face. The lead villain laughs and orders his men to step things up a notch. They rip open the front part of Yuna's costume to expose her nice breasts. One guy starts fondling Yuna's right breast while another fiend sucks on her left tit. The villains rip open the lower part of Yuna's costume and stick a vibrator device in her pussy, which works it's magic until it makes her climax.

The vibrator has clearly affected Yuna, making her uncontrollably horny. She willingly sucks one villain to completion and then sits on another guy's face.

When she regains control of her senses, she escapes and more fighting action follows. Yuna is captured for a second time and taken to the villains's warehouse-like lair, where she is bound arms over head to the ceiling. This time, she is wearing the black and red costume from the movie's cover art, along with the helmet that has the visor.

The villains work over her costumed body with some vibrators. Then, one of the zebra-suit guys gives her a whipping. The whipping scene looks pretty intense, although it wasn't always clear that the fast-cracking whip was actually hitting her body (the scene is shot from different angles). Nonetheless, the whippings cause some rips in Yuna's outfit -- exposing a breast -- and some bleeding on her skin.

Finally, Yuna is bound to a table on her back, in the costume with the rips, and with her arms and legs securely cuffed to the table. The bottom part of her costume has been ripped open and a Robocop-like villain with a black skull for a face rapes her. This is nicely done. Yuna's helmet has been removed so we can see her face during the ordeal, and she lets out some pained yelps each time the villain thrusts into her. At one point, Robocop-ish villain stops thrusting and argues with Bill Zebub-ish looking villain, but he eventually gets back to business. The rapist doesn't get to climax, though, as a scientist guy with a powerful rifle arrives and rescues Yuna.
